I once sent my husband to the store for yogurt. He called me to ask what flavor to get. He's the only one in our house who eats it. 😂

A really amazing tip for lamb to help with the smell and also help calm the gamey flavor is to rub the raw meat all over with lemon before you cook it! It helps neutralize the odor and also tenderizes a little. I'm middle eastern and used to be a Chef Instructor, so I love my lamb! 😊😊😊

Last week I was sick the weekend I was supposed to go grocery shopping. My husband volunteered to go shopping. He took my oldest two girls with him. Well I had to do a fill in haul a week later. I had to do it today. My husband didn't hardly get anything and double check with the menu I had with the list. He got so stressed out and was trying to be cheerful that a worker at the grocery store he was in gave him 3 bags of cara cara oranges. Lol. He said I'll go shopping I'll push the cart. So thankful for emergency money to do a fill in trip today. My daughter's will never let him live it down. They were trying to help him and he got so confused poor husband. 😊 it was so bad I had to use our pantry too. Grass season will be here soon so we're getting down to barely anything. Everything looks so good. Take care guys and have a blessed day

I enjoy seeing your children in the kitchen. My parents allowed us ( my 8 siblings and I) into the kitchen to “ help “ we would stand on a chair and break the eggs for cakes and breakfast 🍳 and pancakes 🥞. When we were old enough to be responsible in the kitchen we were allowed to prepare the evening meal. Because of our travels we learned to eat lamb . One of my favorite dishes was
Curry and lamb. We had different toppings we would put on top of the curry and rice, bananas 🍌, cut up 🍇 grapes , 🍓strawberries ,🍍pineapple 🥥 coconut and different kinds of nuts. We ate it often when we lived in Turkey.

Sarah, I have a recipe that all of you might like. You would probably have to double it though. It does have stove top stuffing in it and I'm not sure you are keen on that, but wanted to let you know. Take 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts and either boil them or bake in oven until done. Shred them after cooling. In a large bowl, add shredded chicken, 1 box of chicken stove top, 2 cans of cream of chicken soup (undiluted) 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese. Mix well and add chicken broth to moisten. Place mixture into a greased or sprayed 9x13 baking dish. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 30 to 45 minutes until bubbly. It is really good! Like I said, you would probably have to double the recipe.

I make 3 to 4 meat loaves at a time and I freeze them raw so I can use them when I need them. I will put them in the crock pot in the morning for dinner. I also cook ground beef ahead and freeze it, to add to chili, or goulash etc. as needed. Doing ahead and freezing saves time on prep and only washing dishes one time. I prep ahead different from you but, everyone has their own way which makes their life easier. Love you and your family. Stay safe.

What we also like to doo with ground meat is stuffed peppers the composition is like for meat balls but you also add some rice in it.
Or without rice and make zucchini or eggplant stuffed halfs and they will look like boats put some cheese on top and some tomato juice inside the pan put it into oven fir 45 - 60 minutes and all done and vrey good.

You are legitimately the definition of "super mom". I thought being a single mama of one (5 year old), 6th year of college, work, etc was rough. Goodness, sweets- your wonder woman! Plus, and more importantly, a wonderful loving mama!
Any tips you would give to a first time busy mama of a toddler boy?

Also, when I order rack of lamb, the chef would always wear gloves. I finally asked why, they said that human flesh makes the meat taste bad on lamb.

I love doing a can of coconut milk, a can of diced tomatoes, cumin, curry, any veggies that need to be cooked, onion, garlic, ginger if I have it. Super good. We don't eat meat, but you could probably add chicken. Its great over rice.

I do my meatballs mixture like as below:
In 1 kg of ground meat I add
    1 large minced carrot
    1 large minced onion
    1 lage minced potato
    1 or 2 eggs
    Half of cup of breadcrumbs
    Parsley chopped
Dill chopped I use fresh butbi think 2 tea spoons of each herb will do
    2-3 minced garlic cloves
    Salt and pepper
And from this amounth yiu can feed 6 people I say that because when I meet my close family we are 6 and that is the amounth I usually make but you can double or triplw the recipe.
Adding carrot, omion and potato inside the meatballs gives so mich flavor. Amd you can make a tomato sauce and add the meatballs there if yiu have leftovera and serve with pasta or rice and they are very good this way too

Solo buying all those cans of tomatoes reminded me of one time my son shopped for our family. There are only 5 of us, and I had made my list then got sick. My son at 25 is a good cook so I figured he could easily read my list and get the groceries when he offered to go.He did great on everything except he came in apologizing they didn’t have enough packages of hot dogs. I said it was fine as I was going to put them in the freezer since they were on sale. He said, “Oh that’s why you wanted so many!” He then proceeded to unload NINE packages of hot dogs! I was surprised as I had originally written one package, then added another tally mark to indicate 2 packs. He misread that as me asking for 11 packs!!! We have laughed and laughed!! Needless to say we had lots of BBQ’d hot dogs last summer! 😂😂😂

A really good crock pot chicken recipe that I love is for chicken tacos, all it is however much chicken you want franks red hot hot sauce and a packet of ranch mix. I use normally half the bottle of hot sauce for about 5 pieces of chicken ( just depends on how much spice you want). I cook it for a few hours and then shred it up and you can use it for normal tacos or (walk tacos) sooo good!

Sarah. You HAVE to add the pot in a pot method to your rice prepping. I also meal prep and cook brown rice in my Instant Pot. Using a round Corning Dish on the rack is a lifesaver. Put the ingredients in a Corning dish exactly as you would in the pot. Add the water ratio in with the ingredients plu 2 cups in the bottom of the pot. Place your oven safe dish on the raised rack and cook using the same time. Your Instant pot will be clean at the end and ready for the next meal and your dish can be covered and put in the frig after cooking. It's scary the first time, but try it you'll love it.

I Love these videos..It shows us that you are human and not just doing things for “ YT views” Life happens all the time each and every day. And you always make the best of it...It is just us 2 senior citizens, my husband and I . However whenever I decide to really cook things that take forever such like black eyed peas, collard greens, chili , lasagne or soup I make enough to freeze for at least 6 to 10 servings. My theory is , if I am going to cook something time consuming or special I might as well make enough for a few more meals.. Life hAppens to us all.Even with just 2 people it can be a Chore to find a meal..Keep doing what works and is best for You guys. We appreciate it to the utmost...P.S I love Lukas’s camera persona.🤗
