@@assassinmanx6128 When it comes to piercing armor with guns, you need speed and a small, usually FMJ projectile, that is why small rounds like 5.56 are so effective. When it comes to kevlar, it is tightly woven super strong fibers, like a tough blanket. It is good at stopping larger and slower round nosed bullets like most pistol rounds, but smaller and faster moving pointed bullets will zip right through it. Think of dropping a ball onto a blanket vs pushing a knife or needle through it. So for these extremely small and hard pointed pellets that are also going 200+ FPS faster than they should be, they are able to push through the kevlar like a needle. Now how much damage those pellets would do to the person wearing the kevlar after it gets through isn't clear, but I reckon it would still pierce the skin and still be a serious injury, depending on range. While general soft point .44 magnum out of pistol length barrels may not penetrate kevlar, the sheer force transfer will still injure you, likely severely. So unless you are under attack by a dude with a high power dieseled pellet gun with specific ammo, or someone with a .44, both of which are wildly unlikely, you are fine.
