One of my all time favorite moments in the Punisher comics is when Frank finds out that there's a group of cops that have found inspiration in what he does. He tears up his logo they put on their squad car, and tells them if he finds out they do what he does, he'll come for them next. When one of them says he needs to be careful, that sounded like a threat, he affirms that it is, in fact, a threat. "I'll say this once. We're not the same. You took an oath to uphold the law. You help people. I gave that all up a long time ago. You don't do what I do, nobody does. You boys want a role model? His name is Captain America, and he'd be happy to have you,"
Despite the fact that this season literally feels like two different seasons that were Frankenstein'ed stitched together, it's still super entertaining to watch, which really speaks to the quality of this show. Also that Matt visiting Wilson scene in the prison... best scene of the whole season.
Yeah the fairly grounded (at least for a comic book hero show) story of Frank vs all the crazy Hand stuff definitely stand in sharp contrast to each other. Its still good and works mostly but I would say it's the weakest of the three seasons even if the Punisher stuff is some of my favourite episodes of the whole show.
@@calypso4882 The Punisher stuff is god-tier but then all the Hand stuff is like a big, stinky shit in the toilet that just won't flush and the smell of it permeates Season 2.
Karen received a large payout from her last employer is season one. Probably enough for her to pay rent in a half decent apartment for a couple years without other income. I’m sure Matt and foggy send most of their income her way to pay her salary while they scrape by, cause they’re sweet like that. Marci has the largest character arc in the show, and she’s only on screen for a total of 30 minutes over three seasons.
When it came out Matt scene with Fisk in prison was the best hero vs villain dialogue scene in the enitre mcu Its the type of moment that reminds you what kind of actors they are THEYLL CUT THEIR TONGUES OUT
Matt may be self-isolating, but I don't think he's taking it out on other people. If anything, I'd say he's blaming himself for putting the people he cares about in jeopardy. There are 2 choices he could make: Give up being Daredevil, or taking Stick's advice and cutting everyone off. And as he told Foggy in 1x10, he doesn't want to stop being Daredevil, so there's only one choice left. But Claire's points are also VERY valid.
