No editing. No overdubs. Just two pro's showing how real guys used to sing in the old days. Superb. We were lucky back then to have real entertainers. I really feel sorry for youngsters today. They have no idea what they missed.
This is before my time but not even comparable to today's junk music. This is awesome and actually makes me feel like I'm living in the 60's while I listen to it.
TobyJae Thanks TobyJae. Checked out you channel and all I can say is YEAH! I'm your newest and happiest subscriber! Like the raspberry eating bunny too :-)
jsbach15 You are very welcome jsbach15! I appreciate your kind words! Your channel art is wonderful. I grew up listening to my favorite vocalist on a radio like that!
RIP Tony Bennett 😪 Pure talent & sophistication. HANDSOME he so was. I'm second generation hearing beautiful music ❤❤❤❤❤ And Andy Williams. .HANDSOME AS WELL💋💋💋💋💋💋RIP
I'm obsessed too, Tony's voice on the I Left My Heart in SF part is absolutely perfect and I wish i could find a more uptempo version like it somewhere else
Wow, I'm blown away. A summit meeting of the two the best male singers of all times. Both with those golden voices. Tony and Andy together. What a performance! I'm so glad this is preserved for posterity.
I used to see Andy Williams from time to time on TV when I was a kid and thought he was really square. Well he was but he was also a hell of a musician. Sounds like he had perfect pitch.
Still one of the very best EVER on UA-cam. Sure would love to see these guys get together for a reprise, nearly 50 years later. Bet they would bring down the house.
Both tony and andy are two of the greatest singers of all time and they prove it in this clip. This is a classic, you don't see entertainment like this any more.wonderful piece of film.
there are very few singers today who could match these guys for timing, diction or class!! its a sad fact but true!! Met Tony in 2000 upper west side, he was 74 then, still class act, also saw him in Edinburgh 2005, supp[ort was Diana Krall, best live singer in the business, anyone care to comment?? Cam in Scotland
Sadly,I believe we will never hear voices like this again in our lifetime. It was held in that time, and it will remain so! And lets keep it there! and appreciate every moment! It was amazing! A better time in many ways!
I had the pleasure of writing the sleeve notes to Andy's last album "The Essential Andy Williams" and in it I pointed out that the City Medley between Andy and Tony recorded on the Andy Williams Show in 1965, is one of the definitive pieces of "Light Entertainment" they sure don't produce stuff like that anymore, delighted to see it online
The two best male vocalists of the 20th century at a historic 1965 "summit' while both were at the top of their games! Pay attention young people, especially 20 somethings and down, you are lucky You Tube has this classic clip preserved for posterity, you are likely not to be graced with such pure talent and classic style anytime in the foreseeable future given the atmosphere of current music standards.
Qué fenómenos estos tipos! Puro swing, simpatia, alegría, gracia, y cantan genial! ❤ Buenos tiempos de artistas internacionales de la canción. Y ahora los echamos de menos, pero nos dejaron mucha música para recordarlos....
What a knockout performance! Without question better than Frank and Dean, this pairing, Tony and Andy represent the pinnacle of Pop male performers in the 1960s .. so beautiful, so perfect, so timeless! I'm Glad I remember those times and the Andy Williams show!
Tony and Andy...best singers of all time... although different in mix in their voice, both sound as perfect as they can be and watching them perform is always delightful !!
My God, picture this: They play this clip to start the Emmys, so as to show perfection to those way too young to remember. Then they bring out Tony and Andy to sing a duet they are comfortable with, not exactly this, but with memories. Can you imagine the reaction? Does the house coming down around them even begin to describe it?
I met you everywhere, where i look for Andy Williams. You are right! I´m in love with Andy Williams. He is such an amazing personlity and singer and so attractive. Today one won´t find such a pers. bc. culture says be harsh and adapt to global market and become a world citizen (so people of all cultures dev. towards clones with attributes that miss individuality and relation). Williams has it all!
< this kind of music, and people who really can sing. There is a market lurking for it...make that ' yearning ' for it..! Bring on the kids who will sing like Andy and Tony, who instinctively love good music and keep the flame burning for Cole Porter, Sammy Kahn and all the other timeless tunesmiths. It's a miserable time in many ways and everyone seems to have sold out. But we ain't dead yet, neither is music
but you see...it's not a duel at all...It's what it's supposed to be.. Making beautiful music....together!! There's nothing more precious. It's not about trying to outdo...Duels are for kids!"I won!!" Yeah...the self indulgence contest!!
Honestly, can it get any better than that. Two of the best voices ever. To say one is better than the other is just expressing your personal preference. Wouldn't it be great if they got back together to recreate the moment!
Are these guys beautiful or what. Jesus you can't just help imagining that this kind of talent isn't around anymore, sure we have great singers but heck is there anything like this...???! Such young guys, loving their gifts and just giving so much pleasure. Timeless.
I've wanted to meet Tony Bennett ever since I heard his voice...first time being a few years ago when I bought my first CD of his songs. He better stick around for a long time. :) RIP Andy Williams. He is one of my favorite singers too.
When i see videos like this I dont know whether to laugh or cry! On the one hand how amazing is this performance (and music in general)?! On the other, I'm 21 years old I never had the opportunity to live the glory of "swing". Who is out there now? Music generally has gone to s*** and the singers are manufactured. Where are the artists? :-(
Fabulous fabulous. What a brilliant pair of singers/perfromers/entertainers.Two of the best along with Sammy Davis. Tony Tony Tony thank you so very very much for the wonderful listening. OK You too Andy. Thanks.
OK, how do we get them together again? They are both still with us, and both sound good. Is there anyone here who would not pay good money to see them together? Not that it matters. This teaming is a must.
R.I.P Tony Bennett
R.I.P Andy Williams
Both legends 🙏
Tony Benett is still alive at 96.
No editing. No overdubs. Just two pro's showing how real guys used to sing in the old days. Superb. We were lucky back then to have real entertainers. I really feel sorry for youngsters today. They have no idea what they missed.

There is more talent in this video than exists in the entire music industry today!
If you don't get goosebumps when you hear these two awesome voices, something is wrong. It just doesn't get any better; pure talent, timeless.
Yes, I'm getting goosebumps Yes I truly am PURE, sophisticated singing.... Then..❤❤
Mmm hmm ❤❤💙💙🕊🕊
Their talent is a gift and a blessing from God. They sing from their souls.
I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to this, I keep coming coming back 🥰
At least 100 times
I'm obsessed too, Tony's voice on the I Left My Heart in SF part is absolutely perfect and I wish i could find a more uptempo version like it somewhere else
Andy Williams and Tony Bennett doing one of those great medleys that you just don't see anymore on television. Thanks for posting!
.....and to think that these two legends are in their 80's and STILL performing.
No miming, no autotuning, just pure tallent.
No smokes, no erotic dancers, no fire works, no acrobatics in the background - but just genuine talents & great songs.
So real...So musical...Good vibes...Joy to the audience. The class...The professionalism...
Wow, I'm blown away. A summit meeting of the two the best male singers of all times. Both with those golden voices. Tony and Andy together. What a performance! I'm so glad this is preserved for posterity.
That last note... absolute perfect pitch! This was when singers could sing.
I used to see Andy Williams from time to time on TV when I was a kid and thought he was really square. Well he was but he was also a hell of a musician. Sounds like he had perfect pitch.
Two great voices for the history!!
What a privilege to watch two of the best talents in showbiz in their prime. The kind of thing we don't see anymore, I'm afraid...
Still one of the very best EVER on UA-cam. Sure would love to see these guys get together for a reprise, nearly 50 years later. Bet they would bring down the house.

Too of the Best Singers Brilliant life time fan.
Thank God we still have these two around today. There's still hope for the universe.

This is just amazing. It's like I'm sitting in my den when I was 10 and hearing my Mom and Dad watching TV. Good Ole UA-cam...:)

Williams has it all!
I saw Tony in concert about eight months ago and he's still fantastic. At age 91, his vocal power was still amazing.
