She is a keeper. This reaction was priceless. The look on her face from Dime's solo till the end reminds me of how I felt listening to this for the first time.
Pantera is an awesome band out of Arlington Texas here in the US 🇺🇸 The guitar player Dimebag Darrell and the drummer Vinnie are brothers. Dimebag was shot on stage by a fan in 2004 his brother Vinnie died in 2018. Guitar World magazine readers voted the song's solo the 35th-greatest of all time. R.I.P. Dimebag & Vinnie!
I seen them Live in 1998 and they sounded aweful Live! Not as bad as Marilyn Manson sounds Live, but it wasn't great! The guitars and drums were on point! Phil was NOT!
The live performance - Pantera live in Moscow 1991 “Domination” is the song !!! The whole band is incredible in that performance and Dimebag Darrell’s guitar playing abilities are showcased (RIP to Dimebag). His guitar solo is incendiary. They played in front of me 1.6 million people that day. Yep! You read that right. 1.6 million people!!!
This band was also at the Moscow 1991 concert during the "Monsters of Rock" show in which u have reacted to with Metallica! Pantera played earlier on the same day in front of the same 1.6 million fans!
Check out their video from that concert - Domination live in Moscow - Dimebag shows why he is revered! I am happy to say I saw them 3 times over their career - amazing, brutal, trendsetting always.
Dimebag was one of the greatest metal guitarists who ever lived. Not as technical as many others, but his rhythm, his ear for melody, and the passion and creativity in his playing make him the best in many people's minds. He is extremely influential. This band changed metal forever.
The call and response between Dime and Phil at the end of this song still gives me chills decades later! Freaking EPIC! Thank you, loved your reaction!
RIP TO THE ABBOT BROTHERS. WE MISS YALL 100% I SEEN PANTERA IN THE 80S WHEN I LIVED IN TEXAS. THEY KICKED ASS. THEY WAS ONE OF THE.BEST OUT THERE LIKE MEGADETH OR MATALICA OR SLAYER.. REST IN PEACE BROTHERS..❤❤
I love seeing younger people discover Pantera for the first time. Especially people from other countries like Russia. Her face when she seen Dimebag Darrell's solo was so cute. I'd love to see her check out This Love by Pantera. Or anything from the vulgar display of power album. Rest in peace Dimebag Darrell.
I have always been a fan, and this is still one of my all time favorites. Regretfully, I never got to see them live.(My profession always had me either on the road or working long shifts and long workweeks. However, I was surprised to run into Vinnie Paul at an Epica concert in Dallas. I didn't want to annoy him by asking for an autograph or anything, but did get to say hi and get his opinion on the show. Seemed like a very down to earth guy.
this is the short version of this song for MTV where they had to cut out the best parts of this song. I would highly recommend listening to the full album version to get Dimebag's full genius and the full emotional experience of this song. Check out 'the sleep' for imho Dimebag's best solo. One of the absolute best in all of music.
Dear Bisscute! as an huge pantera fan over 25 years i really appreciate your reaction! you are bloody young maybe and not art all into metal, but you are open minded & full of joy. thats beautiful to watch :-) If you want to see THE classic LIVE video, you pantera in front of satge more than one MILLION people. my further recommendation: "the art of shredding" (great live version available) and "the sleep" ... hope you want to dive into the world of pantera. 🤸♂
Honestly much rather her do anything but Walk, that song is so overplayed and over-reacted to. They have a huge library, Walk is one of their simpler/most repetitive songs
Pantera almost deserves to be their own genre. They are definitely doing metal, but also something else that's just Pantera. At any rate, love to see a reaction to a great Texas band, and if you love guitar as much as your smile indicates, then you should definitely check out some more. Dime was one of the all-time greats.
Been on a 3 day Pantera Binge and every time I see Dime and Vin I cry or tear up!!Finally after getting sick of my crying, the wife puts the tv on UA-cam and puts up Domination in Moscow and cranks the surround sound full blast, tells me to ENJOY THIS AND STOP WITH THE BULLSHIT CRYING!!!One happy husband over here!!
I worked at sizzler in the 90s, one of the dishwashers handed me cowboys from hell after work and said man you gotta hear this. That was 1991, been a fan ever since 🤘
I love your videos and have been waiting a long time for this reaction. PANTERA was a unique band, and still is, please react to Domination live in Moscow 1991 and you'll understand what I'm talking about. Greetings 🤘
Perfect reaction!!! You picked up on the parts that hook you in this song! I really enjoy watching people react to this song especially at the end with the dueling guitar of Dimebag and Phil's voice. Watching music teachers and voice coaches react is the best.
Hey. You are amazing. So nice. 😉👍 Pantera is the greatest band ever. The made new metal level. They were sent of god. Them music is power technical metal. I was watching them live concert twice and I was lucky to talk with them . RIP Dimbag Darell and him brother the drummer Vinie Paul. They are phenomenal musicians. Thank you for the reaction.
Bisscute, you’re amazing and I’m hooked. 😍 Please do Jinjer “Who is Gonna be the One” live. I’ve loved your Jinjer reactions and this is my new favorite song from them. 😍
I was so glad to see this on my youtube feed. Pantera is my favourite band ever and nothing can change that. I mean Pantera was the whole package when you think about it, drums, bass, guitar and vocals all worked so well. It's hard to categorize Pantera but the term I heard was groove metal, kinda like thrash metal like metallica but with more groove. I love it that you reacted to this song, i love it!
Pantera are from Arlington Texas. You probably don't care but I am from Dallas and I think it is awesome that a popular metal band came from the DFW area.
Great reaction. Glad you chose this one. You don't just listen to this song, you experience it Everything about it is iconic. That riff, Dime's guitar solo, Phil and Dime matching triples at the end. Also when dealing with loss,, how the mellow parts capture the sorrow and grief you feel while the heavy parts capture the anger and rage. A masterpiece, the music, vocals and lyrics.
For the guitar “getting high notes” at the end…check out some music theory about ‘guitar harmonics’, ‘pinch harmonics’, how ‘high output’ pickups work as well as Digitech Whammy pedals. They are “pitch-shifting” pedals that let you raise or lower or harmonize or etc the pitch. Pretty cool stuff. Dime was a genius. RIP.
While it wasn't called this at the time, Pantera created the Groove Metal genre. Pantera was to metal what Nirvana was to alt rock. The blew up and completely changed the way things were done. You can still hear Pantera's influences in new metal bands. It's been so long now that I see a lot of young guitarist's saying "What's so great about Dime? He's not that technically impressive of a guitar player." What they can't realize, as they weren't born yet, was that no one was doing what Dime was doing at the time. He was completely new and innovative. Very rarely in the short history of rock/metal music does someone come along that completely rethinks the instrument. Most just fall in line and follow suit. Those innovators will spawn millions of clones. Those clones and regular fan guitarists have since built upon the foundation Dime created, and that's the way it should be. Learn what you can from them and then make it your own. You can't take an original guitarist from 30 years ago and compare him to guitarist today that have had 30 years worth of refining and expanding upon his original ideas to absorb.
Love your reaction to the 'duel' at the end of the song. I've heard there was a discussion or joke between Phil and Dime of who could get higher, and this is the result. Cemetery Gates is one of their 'ballad' type songs, not as heavy as others. I hope you feature more from them. R.I.P. Darrell 'Dimebag' Abbott, one of the best guitarist to ever shred the strings. \m/
Thank you for your nice commendary for an old classic. Pantera's great lyrics and song sounds great also a polka cover as well. PANTERA "Cemetery Gates" Gone Polka by STEVE 'N' SEAGULLS has very different mood.
I'm very happy to see you checking out my first metal love, my best friend introduced me to them in 1994 and they will always be one of my favorites. Phil has such an incredible voice, Dimebag Darrell is one of the greatest guitarists of all time ( RIP), Rex is an incredible bassist and Vinnie is arguably the most influential drummer ever ( RIP). This is such a beautiful, powerful and iconic song. Hope you check out more of there music. Loved your reaction alot bisscute.🤘😃💙
Dimebag Darrell was such an amazing guitarist! Damn shame how he was done for no reason. Still hurts to talk about it. I was supposed to be there at the Damage Plan show but ended up having to work. I was an hour and a half away in Cincinnati when that happened. My buddies that went were blowing me up telling me what happened, and I just couldn't believe it. Seen Pantera in 1998 at Dayton Hara Arena. Last thing I did with my cousin, my best friend, before he passed. They trigger a lot of memories and nostalgia. Amazing band!
Please tell me I'm not the only one to laugh out loud at her idea of Dimebag doing a shampoo commercial! I think he woulda laughed his ass off too. RIP guitar maestro.
Just found your channel and this video is about the fifth reaction I’ve watched and I have to say I love your taste in music as well as your accent keep up the great work I look forward to spending the next hour or so watching some more
awesome comment about Dimebags Darrels Hair yes it was awesome many called Panteras style from the 1990´s Groove Metal befor that hair metal as underground band kinda
Pantera is an iconic metal band like Metallica making Cemetery Gate on the top list of Guitar World Magazine. For a live performance of Pantera, watch Domination live in Moscow in 1991.
Pantera was a good thing. Back then, because of the 80's, not many were into them. But to those of us who were thankful for them...they were very much welcomed.
One of the best bands ever, just a collection of 4 amazing talents. Also Phil’s voice is a lot more metal and brutal in majority of their material, guy had one of the most badass metal voices, this is tame for him but it is some fantastic singing. One of the best bands ever in general. You should watch their live performance of Domination in Moscow, it’s absolutely legendary.
I’m sure they fit a variety of genres when it comes to metal. Pantera is an icon and has influenced so many bands in this decade and maybe more beforehand and probably more to come. I would classify them as more groove metal but putting them in 1 category is a disservice to Pantera. I just find their bass lines and riffs are so damn groovy, they make wanna move, dance, jump around and mosh!!!
It's not footage from a concert. There is no audience standing in front of them. It's just part of the concept for this official music video. The scenes of them playing as a band is a planned "stage setting" video shoot. It's in a closed room, not a live stage.
Awesome you did this one Bisscute! 👍🤘🎸 It was a good one to recommend with showcasing Phil’s vocal range besides the badassery of Dime on guitar, Vinnie on drums and Rex on bass. R.I.P. Dime and Vinnie. 🙏 Believe it or not hun, Dime their guitarist was murdered on stage while performing in concert with him and Vinnies other band Damage Plan. Vinnie would pass some years later due to issues with his heart. I feel he was forever heart broken after witnessing his brother be killed on stage. Rock legends most definitely. Thank you for doing this one gorgeous. 🙏🎸🤘
I liked when the moment the song starts, you were going to say something, and then they started playing! Lol! You jumped from your seat! Lol Perfect timing girl!lol
DOMINATION!! in Moscow then you yourself go back and listen to the studio version. Dime his brother Vinnie and the most under-rated bassist give you the same EARGASIM!!! Most people don't like Phil's vocals but that's the thrill of being at a LIVE SHOW!! Watch the video and let us see you get the EARGASIM just like every other first reaction get
Thank you to your reaction to this masterpiece. you should listen to the full version, because the music video version is not the full song Sending love from Poland
@@brownwestmoreland1077 That's debatable. Black Sabbath was a proto-metal band. Kind of like a bridge between rock and metal. Same goes with bands such as Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin and of course Motorhead. Pure metal truly started with Judas Priest and Iron Maiden. There may have been smaller bands before them for a brief period of time but those two shot the genre to the stars.
@@igipop14 yeah but by the time those groups hit mainstream, Black Sabbath had already pioneered the metal sound. Groups like Deep purple were just beginning to do what Black Sabbath had already done. There's no denying that Pantera invented the sub gene of metal called groove metal. Nobody had heard of groove metal or was even calling it groove metal until Pantera invented it. Plus Black Sabbath was doom metal, Deep purple was more of a hard rock band. And Led Zeppelin was more like Van Halen, cock rock.
Where the HELL you get that from???? Pantera was a THRASH METAL BAND and a dammm Good one. I can see "PRONG" being called groove metal or White Zombie.... But Pantera is THRASH! Wikipedia is Not always Accurate. I grew up in the 80s.
You missed the intro to Cemetery Gates, the video chops it off, why it started so suddenly. Cemetery Gates is a great start on Pantera, one of my favorite bands ever. My suggestion is to hear their cover of Planet Caravan, Hollow, A New Level, and all of the rest are good in my book. I enjoy your reactions 😎👍
Fun Fact : Cigar, "Pantera" and whiskey,....When Floor Jansen found her soulmate for life Hannes van Dahl (drummer of Sabaton)😉 ! I Love some "Pantera" 🤘🤘🤘🤘!

If want to see a live song domination
Really cool watching her hear Phil and Dime dueling notes for the first time.
Yeah, no other Guitarist had the Touch that Dime had, he was(in my opinion) one of a kind. RIP😢
The first time anyone hears Dime play puts a smile on their face. But her's was definitely priceless.
same, they blew my gd mind the first time I heard them... "Walk".

The guitar "whine" at the end of the song will forever stuck in my mind. I remember first hearing it in the 1990's and never get sick of hearing it.
"Domination" - Live in Moscow. Classic! WARNING!!! You will not be ready for the breakdown. Russia still hasn't recovered.
People are still walking home from that concert.

"This Priest.. I'm not sure.. I don't trust him.."
Very Smart girl ☺️❤🎉
This Band is from Arlington Texas the next town from where I live.
Seeing your enthusiasm for this gem of a song warmed my aging metal heart.
Keep them coming!
They were amazing live, I was lucky enough to see them before Dime was taken from us. Great video dear!
Saw them at download a few times.
Privileged..🤘
Ya ain't wrong, saw them in Dayton for Vulgar Display of Power. Man was my neck sore. Loved it!
I saw them in Dallas TX incubus opened, then Pantera then black sabbath with ozzy

Heavens? Bands that lead the crowd in chants of "white power!" don't end up in heaven.
I'm not the only one who begin in metal music with this band. Absolute Legends 🤟
Arlington/Fort Worth Texas.
If I may suggest, "this love" is also a great song by them.
Yes it is.
Little known fact, the bridge is from another song called the will to survive.
this is the short version of this song for MTV where they had to cut out the best parts of this song. I would highly recommend listening to the full album version to get Dimebag's full genius and the full emotional experience of this song.

Pantera is a must. Do Walk , Cowboys afrom Hell. They have a lot of good ones.
Honestly much rather her do anything but Walk, that song is so overplayed and over-reacted to. They have a huge library, Walk is one of their simpler/most repetitive songs
They have so many top songs. My vote would go to I'm Broken or Hollow next.
You can NEVER over play Pantera songs JUNIOR!
@@jessemendoza9206 Walk is pretty much the only Pantera song I would say that about lol
A new level for me 🤘

Nice! I've managed to get a Rex bass pick back in 1994 when they came to Argentina!

Awesome band! Thank you for the reaction!
You have a new follower.
This was awesome!
I liked when the moment the song starts, you were going to say something, and then they started playing! Lol!
You jumped from your seat! Lol
Perfect timing girl!lol
Haha ❤️
No word can define what Pantera is. 🤘🏾🤘🏾🤘🏾
I can in one word… AWESOME! Nuff said
One of the innovators of groove metal. Check out Sevendust/Black. Was fun watching you get surprised and blown away.
🤘😎
Panther, One of the best bands I know.
Walk, Domiton solo, Cowboys Front Hell......
DOMINATION!! in Moscow then you yourself go back and listen to the studio version. Dime his brother Vinnie and the most under-rated bassist give you the same EARGASIM!!! Most people don't like Phil's vocals but that's the thrill of being at a LIVE SHOW!! Watch the video and let us see you get the EARGASIM just like every other first reaction get
o yes they can go that high in pitch lovely !!!.
Thank you to your reaction to this masterpiece. you should listen to the full version, because the music video version is not the full song
Sending love from Poland
My pleasure, glad you liked it ❤
Pantera started what was called "Groove Metal", a new genre.
cowboys from hell, Domination, Walk, primal concrete sledge....
Black Sabbath invented metal. Metallica invented thrash metal. Pantera invented groove metal. Sub genres of metal that Black Sabbath invented.
