Talking about how a suspect will always miss some DNA left behind: Ann Burgess consulted with Ed Kemper regarding these murders. One thing Ed pointed out was if you leave some sort of evidence, you don't compound the problem by trying to fix it. He mentioned he left a partial boot print at the bottom of a ravine at a kill site. He didn't go back down to try to erase the print because chance's are he'd leave a complete boot print in the process, and there's no way you could ignore a size 16 boot print.

They might keep the heater on in the house so it's probably not freezing inside or requiring heavy blankets. Pictures show them wearing light clothing inside during winter.
@SC With blood oozing on the outside walls of the house, it's doubtful that a bed or blankets soaked it all up. There are arteries that don't just ooze blood. They spurt it out like a can under pressure.

I would imagine in order for the arrest warrant to be granted ,the DNA that was found to belong to Brian would have to be very important ..and I would say probably found on or bear the bodies absolutely heartbreaking 💔💔💔💔💔 what happened to the four innocent victims
That car also ties him to the scene so if his DNA was found on the bodies and the victims DNA was found in his car that is going to be almost impossible to explain away. There is more to this then they are letting on. Let’s hope it’s solid enough to get a conviction.
You can't clean traces of blood completely out of a car no matter what radical measures are taken .... or from a carpet, clothing, or even the ground. It's not going to matter how they initially found (Ancestry database ... or whatever) the DNA that matched the crime scene DNA, b/c when they searched his apartment, they could get all the samples of perp DNA they needed. The defense will try to say any of the perp's DNA collected at the crime scene was somehow "contamination by police" --- or they'll say the perp was at a party in the house before the crime and left his DNA. Anything to put a shred of doubt in the jurors' minds. This case has to be proven "beyond a reasonable doubt" (98% - 99% certain) rather than "by a preponderance of the evidence" (51% certain).

Many killers and criminals take souvenirs and now film their crimes. Even before cellphones were invented killers often took photos and video. It's likely the perpetrator took photos or video of the crime scene as a souvenir or memento.
Just like what happened with OJ Simpson when he slashed Nicole and Ron to death there are almost always wounds to the knife hand of an attacker because they're hitting bone and ribs when they're stabbing and that hand will slip down the knife and get cut so just like they found OJ's blood at the scene I'm sure they found some of his. They probably also found his skin underneath their fingernails as that happens alot as well. Whatever the evidence was they got him and he's done. Forensic science is so good these days it's irrefutable.

To have some father-son time. I bet the Dad is major mad at him now. Tryin to hide all this from his Dad all the way there? His dad must have sensed some kind of nervousness or something from his son
The thing is why a person like him would have a lot to lose studying for his PhD one would assume he'd have a good head on his shoulders motive part doesn't make sense but that will be explained later I suppose
Harsh had a guy saying that he showered after the deeds and they found dna in the shower drain. Don’t know if that’s facts but Dylan supposedly said that she heard water running for a long time that night but didn’t really think much of it at the time.
I hadn’t heard that rumor about the water running, but I have speculated that he would’ve had to shower or wash up before leaving the scene. It was surely too bloody not for him not to wash up in some capacity, and that will have left a trace
This has been one of my thoughts. Why no bloody footprints in the snow? Why no trail out the door? After having dogs who hurt themselves and blood everywhere I know blood can be cleaned up but does take time energy and chemicals- which does limit a situation like this at the scene. But his car could have been cleaned if he wasn’t just dripping in “evidence”. I was kinda a clean freak prior to having dogs with ripped nails, cut flews and split ears. So it’s not all that difficult to learn how to clean that up. Finding it and cleaning it is not the issue - getting to it and the focus to clean it up is kinda boring though. I’m focused on this DNA - as I’ve posted before OJs DNA was at the scene.
I agree with the assumption that he removed the bloody clothes, put it in a bag along with the knife, washed himself in the scene before going out to his car, later he got rid of the bag either in a water body, or burried it somewhere, or even in a dumpster, that is my speculation.
Why would he drive back with his car? Seems like for just a visit for the holidays it would make more sense to fly home; makes me wonder if they wanted to get the car out of the area.
I hope they provide more proof. This has been so quiet, and I've not heard a motive or any friends/witnesses say that he did something that would prove his guilt. I sure hope he's actually guilty. Imagine being accused of this sort of crime!

The suspect says he’s very eager to go back to Idaho and clear his name. I think he’s bluffing. Of course, if he refuses to confess to his crime, nobody would force him to confess, but he could offer to bargain his confession for something - like commuting death penalty to life imprisonment.
All family want the death penalty. They said on video. He got nothing to trade but the kill experience if he says are truthful? But the csi + fbi police pro mapped this out already (the kill crime) motive?

Why would a grown man ... unmarried, paying living expenses, rent, driving a nice car. ...parents in a nice home ,and paying graduate study expenses etc etc ....qualify for a public defender????
Because that doesn’t mean he has $600+ bucks an hour for a decent criminal defense attorney. PhD students are generally pretty skint, especially with all the student debt it takes to get to that point
Because he wants to defend himself
Because he's probably living off of a mountain of student loan debt.
And his parents live in a gated community.
The judge determines that. Judge: "Do you want a public defender?" Brian "Yes, I spent so much money cleaning up the scene I am broke"

He could of worn Tyvek suit. Commit the murders taken it off put it in a plastic bag and burn it somewhere. And gotten rid off the knife .. he must of left foot prints there’s no way he didn’t step on blood in the dark during the crime ..
Even wearing a tyvek suit, they are flimsy as heck and in a struggle it wouldn’t hold up very well at all..
You can wear tyvek booties also
They might keep the heater on in the house so it's probably not freezing inside or requiring heavy blankets. Pictures show them wearing light clothing inside during winter.
@SC With blood oozing on the outside walls of the house, it's doubtful that a bed or blankets soaked it all up. There are arteries that don't just ooze blood. They spurt it out like a can under pressure.

I'm not the Lynch mob I'm not saying he's guilty yet either
The detectives didn't publish the evidences yet, the prosecutor will present it in the court, the police said they got the criminal, and we assume they have enough evidences to convict him.
No one has said that. No one had said 100% this is the guy. Not police, reporters, etc. So the question here is why are you so defensive over him?

I would imagine in order for the arrest warrant to be granted ,the DNA that was found to belong to Brian would have to be very important ..and I would say probably found on or bear the bodies absolutely heartbreaking 💔💔💔💔💔 what happened to the four innocent victims
Cases can be won without even having the DNA. I'm not saying they don't have good DNA, but they can also have other evidence linking him.
That car also ties him to the scene so if his DNA was found on the bodies and the victims DNA was found in his car that is going to be almost impossible to explain away. There is more to this then they are letting on. Let’s hope it’s solid enough to get a conviction.
Most probably "cleaned" his car during the night, as neighbours say he never slept at night and heard things like vacuuming etc.

GUILTY AS CHARGED
That's all we've been hearing-speculation. How about the facts??
Just like what happened with OJ Simpson when he slashed Nicole and Ron to death there are almost always wounds to the knife hand of an attacker because they're hitting bone and ribs when they're stabbing and that hand will slip down the knife and get cut so just like they found OJ's blood at the scene I'm sure they found some of his. They probably also found his skin underneath their fingernails as that happens alot as well. Whatever the evidence was they got him and he's done. Forensic science is so good these days it's irrefutable.
But what if the glove doesn’t fit ?
Well, this particular knife has a guard, so no slipping and sliding to cut your self.
Actually yes, one of the victims has been fighting back. She must have had his DNA under finger nails, or pulled out some of his hair.

@@denisekoltys3019 what snow? It happened on Nov.13...
I agree with the assumption that he removed the bloody clothes, put it in a bag along with the knife, washed himself in the scene before going out to his car, later he got rid of the bag either in a water body, or burried it somewhere, or even in a dumpster, that is my speculation.
