One year later, and we are finally getting the legacy collection the series deserves. I am actually super curious how they tackle the Boktai content absent from BN6. Do they copy the original version or port the US version? Still buying it regardless, but it would be amazing if they took the chance to improve on the original.
Ive been wondering about all the cut content and stuff locked behind events and the cartridges of 5 interacting with double team as well. @@lequanghuy5126 I only played a little of Star Force 2, but... I really just didn't like it as much. yeah..kinda sucks..at least in the manga universe, serenade has some major appearance and significant impact on Megaman and Protoman story. Sadly it's not happening in MMBN game and anime
Oversaturation. Capcom already had 2 other megaman series out and star force wasn't far off and they just pumped megaman games out year after year until the fans had seen enough of what looked to be the same thing over and over to the point they didn't want to buy it. This is also why megaman died for awhile due to all the oversaturation of megaman games during the early 2000s.
Really, had they just focused on ZX, or Starforce, they’d have been just fine. If one of those came out in the 2010’s instead, it’d be hyped, rather than just “eh, I guess it’s okay...?”
Yup, the mid 2000s were just Mega Man Overload, there were multiple games releasing on *the same day*, with Mega Man X7 and Zero 2 releasing simultaneously on North America. Not only that, some of the games had a... subpar quality, to say the least, while others didn't seem to change much from one title to the other, giving the impression that they were being almost mass-produced. Capcom really overdid it back then, and the company was not on their best phase, but I wish they would at least try to bring the series back more seriously today, seeing as Capcom is releasing a bunch of great games one after the other.
The sad part is that even with the issue of oversaturation, look at how StarForce and ZX turned out: one lost its own identity as a "Space-themed" MegaMan game by the second game (3 didn't do much better to fix this by bringing back 4's plot-point with very little to do with space) and the other had gameplay imbalances with a Metroidvania style that was borked in the first game and damaged by so many needless transformations in the second one. BN, for all of the faults games before 6 had, at least were salvageable to some degree, but the sales of said games really took a hit and the entire franchise just suffered as a result until 11 came out.
What really bummed me out is that Starforce 4 had a cool idea. SF3 introduced the Transcode Project as a Super Registration Act of sorts. And then from what we know of 4's groundwork, Geo would ultimately find himself evading the very group he was aiding back in 3.
Actually there’s no excuse for Tamako and Lan not recognizing each other. Tamako is a mandatory boss in the N1. Lan kicked her ass and she fell down a pitfall trap. You’d think he would stick out in her mind, at least, since he eliminated her from the only major netbattle tournament in the last year or so in the game’s canon.
I am so happy that this retrospective exists just purely on the basis of the fact that 5 and 6 basically don't exist to a lot of the people who played the first games and I am excited for both the Starforce playthroughs and the retrospective. I really do hope for a collection to be announced one day
It’s quite a shame because 5 and 6 (along with 3) are my favorite installments of the BN series. It baffles me that 4 is the most successful. Oh well, at least the series concluded while it could.
Starforce 1 and 2 felt so disappointing to me. Years later I heard SF 3 was apparently excellent when the series was retired. I hope they would remake the series one day
Glad you really like Battle Network 6, it's the first one I tried back in middle school thanks to a friend who at the time I had recently made, (also he owned gregar version) later in high school I managed to find a gba with Falzar version inside at a swap meet and we played a ton against each other thanks to the power of the link cable. Great times.... Btw thanks for covering the series, the videos were a great fun to watch and I hope they manage to get new people in the series. Again thank you!
For those wondering about a BN Collection: the devs have teased its existence on numerous occasions. However, it was predictably shelved into development limbo by Covid 19.
I finally finished watching the whole thing and man, I am so happy with how it turned out, watching you play the games out was really a fun time and seeing the final result kinda makes me nostalgic, and you best believe I got your back! x3! Thank you for the video and great time! It was stellar!
The music was one of the defining points of the series... Yoshino Aoki, the composer totally captured the essence of the digital theme and emotion and was able to compose music that showcased both.
31:10 - I’d argue ShadeMan being there is one of the few things BN4 got right, as well as perfectly thematically appropriate. The haywire robots was more or less an escalation of both the previous ShadeMan scenario (where MegaMan gets ShadeMan’s Dark Chip) and the Castillo mini-scenario (where ShadeMan orders a home invasion on the Hikari house and has a Heel Navi try to strong arm MegaMan for his Dark Chip back). Also, ShadeMan, a vampire Navi who goes on to be the crux of future MegaMan-Boktai crossovers, is fought in a horror-themed dungeon that takes place inside a Boktai-themed vampire robot. He was tailor-made for this dungeon.
The fact that BN 5 adapted the Human Instrumentality Project will haunt me forever. Good Job with these Videos, it was a lot of fun to recap my childhood like this. Keep up the good work
its also canon considering 6. Also, Tomahawkman appears in Falzer version, and you can pick him to face Colonel, his former comrade. Gregor version doesnt have a unique encounter (well, unless you see choosing Mr.Match as a way for him to finally redeem himself)
You in 2021 - "There's absolutely no reason at all not to give this series a legacy collection" Capcom 2022 - "10 Mega Man Battle Network Games originally released on the Gameboy Advanced System are coming to Nintendo Switch" The fans - "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
The Battlenetwork anime is surprisingly brutal in some instances. Even Megaman delivers heavy blows. The animation still holds up very well on Season 1 & 2!
Dude, I'm so happy with your videos on this series. Not only did you give it an honest chance (most other youtubers aside from a small few brush it off in favor of just megaman classic or X), but you also really went into depth about all the things that made this series so great. (Some faults too, but what game doesn't?) These games were a big part of my child hood (In part, a reason I am still alive today), so seeing someone genuinely enjoy it was like reliving it again. I'm super excited to see what you do with Starforce, a series that I think even exceeds battle network in terms of story.
Yes and no. It was another part of the under net where you fight Laserman and Bass and then unlock black earth 1 and 2 which has DS versions of the soul navis and a battle with yourself and one more bass fight. Although compare to the other battle networks this really is nothing
I wish 3 did the same thing of introducing tougher enemies in areas you've been after you beat the game. I lost count of how many times would be surprised by a random DS or SP Navi and get my shit rocked because I wasn't ready
Plus Secret area had those cute but absolutely destructive scuttle viruses. Secret 3 has a "scuttlest" virus with 200HP and 200 aura. I loved the challenge. Especially if you beat them quick enough and they give you the LifeAura chip.
Didn’t even mention the EX virus battles where youd talk to one guy in the school and hed unlock the ability to encounter stronger versions of normal viruses and upon beating them youd get to use them in virus vs virus battles, i loved that minigame
Loved these videos. Always nice to see the series get some attention and you did a great job covering them. Looking forward to your StarForce videos. I think those games are pretty good but, not as good as BN.
@@cypher838 The battle system for me. You're limited to the back row which generally made attack patterns and combat a bit more restrictive imo. That and the story of the second game is really weak, which is kinda bad when there's only 3 games.
@@TheLonelyGoomba How good were the stories for BN1, 2 and 4, cus that's half of the series. I don't think one of the three games having a not perfect story is enough to make it completely worse BN. Also, I personally prefer SF's gameplay over BN's. Only having to move in three places is easier for me.
@@darkhorse744 Well I think it's worse in other regards. But when the story is limited to three games and you have less time to develop the characters, having one game which is pretty throwaway does make a bigger impact. Battle Network 1 and 2 had great stories.
Mega Man Battle Network. A Real-Time card game that won our hearts. I can't wait for a legacy collection, or if nothing else, another franchise with the serial numbers filed off. One Step From Eden is great, but if we can get an RPG again, that would be fantastic.
Great video and finale to this series. After recently playing through 6 for the first time in over 13 years, it definitely holds up. One of the best in the series.
Finally Part 2, It's a shame how the series ended the way it did. The latter half of these games had good concepts but less than stellar execution. There are still some things to really like about these games and at least they went out on a good note.
Thank you for all your hard work and time putting on this games, a channel like you spreading the good word on all those fantastic games is all we needed! I love your channel and i will continue to support you The Mega Man Battle Network and Star Force Community apreciate you a lot!!
I heard Capcom has something planned for Battle Network’s 20th anniversary. I only own the third game and Operate Shooting Star so I’d love it if they release a collection of the GBA games for Switch.
@@Animemus Ehhhh, I love these games to death but I genuinely don’t want a BN7. 6 had a pretty fantastic ending for the series and I like that battle network is one of the 2 ( kinda 3 ) Megaman series that had the deceny to end
@@zyro7756 It ended nicely, but I’ve kinda wondered what the world was like during Patch’s time. It was cool getting to read a little bit from Lan’s diary in Starforce 2. I would really like to see how things advanced from the PET to the Transer and see how NetNavis turned into Navi Cards. Then again all that’s probably a long time after Patch’s time.
You wanna do a ridiculous RPG retrospective? ALL the Xeno-games: Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade. Perhaps chart the evolution of an author, as Takahashi finally learned to tell the grand epic he wanted to tell since Xenogears once he was given a little bit of money and a clear "vision" (Shulk jokes!).
Amazing video. Wrapped up and helped me relive my teenage years, going through one of the most memorable series I’ve ever enjoyed but don’t really have the same/energy to do nowadays. Thank you so much!
Honestly, before i watched this video i was expecting the best BN video and, yep, you nailed it, this is easily the best BN video, i shudder to think how much effort went into this video, i really hope this video blows up (although knowing UA-cam it probably won't) it's more than deserved. Fun Fact: In BN6 after defeating Bass SP you unlock even stronger versions of the WWW navis and after defeating Bass BX you can find him as a random encounter in Graveyard Beating him doesn't give you anything though.
Fun fact mmbn4 was my intro into the series, fucking fell in love. Dont really remember very much since i was young but i remember atleast getting to the final boss and always leaving him at 1 hp because i thought it would delete my save. Although I didn't know about replaying the tournaments I thought it was just random which 4 souls you got Actually have a game breaking bug with woodman where I skipped some objective or something and the game would always crash
Solid analysis! I loved watching this and seeing the enjoyment of someone else playing the full series for their first time! I started with 5 when I was 10, so that always has a special place in my heart and I’m glad you loved it too! As you said, it’s super corny, but in the best way. It also continues to inspire me to be a better person due to the example Lan and Megaman set, and how influential they were in my childhood. So thanks again for covering these games and sharing how good they are! Hope you enjoy Starforce!
51:09 Fun fact on the voice acting front, they recorded it with the cast from MegaMan X8 and Command Mission. Which is interesting, considering they’d bring MegaMan’s voice from the anime back for the Legacy Collection menus at this time of writing. I wonder why they didn’t bring over the anime cast for the DS edition🤔
Wow just wow. I really enjoyed this two part series. As a die hard fan (still trying to collect everything Megaman related from games to toys) I enjoyed every minute. I am already looking forward to the Starforce coverage and your opinions to it!
So glad to finally see the 2nd half of this series. I enjoyed this franchise and I'm glad too see there is such a big audience for it. You did a great job covering everything within each game (some stuff I wasn't even aware of) in such great detail. I could be wrong, but I believe the post-game final fight of 6 was meant to be Protoman due to the ending of the manga in which Megaman had become so strong with the netbeast, the only net navi that was a challenge for him anymore was Protoman. I recommend reading it if you get the chance!
Battlenetwork 6 is easily my favorite of the official bn games. The gameplay just kick so much ass. I only wish that it had a better post game. That being said my fav bn game is actually the touhou crossover fangame, Shanghai exe. Not only is it on par if not better than bn6 in terms of gameplay, particularly with the insane amount of side content it has, but also with it's brilliant writing. It has a legitimately good story and fantastic dialogue. Honestly, it is a game I highly recommend to any bn fan.
That's a worse shill comments if I ever read one. Are you the same person who downplayed even shitting on BN series just to shill your games? because I've seen you in multiple places.
Just finished watching both parts of this. So glad that they actually have the games coming to the switch in 2023. A wonderful collection that ill definitely pick up. Thanks for the quality videos. Definitely has me hyped to play the series again
Hey. Thanks a lot for the video. It was truly a blast! I couldn't wait til you talked about BN6. It was actually my first game in the series, then I played the others, except 4 because...yeah. Just in time for the series' anniversary and E3. C'mon Capcom. BN Collection with Online kthx. Looking forward for the Starforce video!
Thank you so much for giving this series a fair and extensive examination. I really enjoyed them as a kid, and hearing about the details I missed, the production issues, Japan exclusives, and more made for a fun and nostalgic experience.
50:22 "My fate is sealed, I have nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn no choice." (yea I know that's General but Colonel is kind of his counterpart too even if that's split between him and to a larger extent, Baryl, whose color scheme even resembles General's and as the operator he's technically Colonel's superior officer)
I really appreciate this look at a series I once dismissed as going on for too long. You've convinced me to play through the ones I ignored (though I might pass on 4). Really good videos. I think you're underrated.
Hey! Thanks for putting my comment into the video! I love the in depth review you've given and can really tell how much time and thought you put into this! Love seeing on of my favorite series as a kid getting an awesome work through!
Funny tid-bit, I've recently picked my copy of Blue Moon back up - we've owned all 6 games but I myself only ever finished 2 on an emulator, and the 1st pass of Blue Moon (I have bias for 4 as it was the first one I beat the final boss of), and I have no clue where our other carts are right now. I still have that old save data too and I've decided for now to pick up where I left off years ago- was about like halfway through Kendo Man's scenario (fun fact btw, in battle Kendo Man gets shut down by _Rock Cube_ of all things, just plop it down somewhere in your half's middle column and you now have a spot he can't hit at all!) on the 2nd pass, right now I've gotta do the Proto Man scenario... again... I distinctly remember I had troubles with the later enemies, especially the Undernet stuff, although I was younger then, so maybe it won't be so bad (I've noticed I've been handling nasty-looking encounters alright in the time I've been playing again so far pretty well)? I dunno. I still have yet to get the Junk Man scenario too, sadly, so hopefully I'll get it on the last pass... (or not, I'm not gonna go deal with T2+ Mokos for their chips for the sake of 100% completion anyway lul) I think having not played it in so long might be a little beneficial for me though as I haven't played it due to our GBA SP's L button being nonfunctional until last week when I found out a really simple way (way simpler than I ever probably would've thought of) to quite practically breathe some life back into that old clunker of a button.
These games were my childhood, I hope with the recent rise of this game getting more attention it will give capcom the idea to do a reboot of the series with changes that are more modern cause our Internet dominated society really matches the game's world, has a huge potential to resonate with this generation.
Great video! But if you're going to be playing StarForce, I highly recommend playing StarForce DX! It's a fanmade patch created by the community that introduces a lot of quality of life fixes to the first game as well as combines all of the version exclusives into one game, and it also allows you to play the Battle Network crossover and Lunar Knights Crossover completely in English!
This is one of the few games where I decided to just pick up the Japanese version and operate through sheer memory (having played the GBA ones prior) and a partial ability to read the language.
I saw this video in my recommendeds a few days ago and stored it for later. It was a lovely trip down memory lane as I grew up alongside these games and I'm excited for you to tackle the Starforce series which I have extremely fond memories of. Thank you for the videos!
Man, a legacy collection or a remaster would be hella tasty, no lie. This spin-off was such fun for me, I played all the entries in Battle Network and Star Force. I will say I hated having two versions of a game. As a completionist, I want all the content to be in one place.
Both of these videos were really well done deep dives into these video games. Admittedly, my only exposure to the Battle Network was through the Mega Man NT Warrior dub. I've never played the games, but they do sound really interesting both in terms of story and game play. It would be nice if they made a collection edition for the Switch. It would be a nice treat for fans, as well as introducing new fans into this series.
Personlly I love liberation mision and the plot of being part of a cyber anti-terrorist group, when Megaman got kidnaped and I was forced to use Colonel, and then seeing Dark Megaman as a Boss was really cool for me. The Chaos Unision was a little bit tricky to me and i was only able to time correctly to times in a row because it becomes harder every time, Shadow Chaos is busted XD
I just finished your video… took some time but may I say, thank you. I started battle network when i was in fourth grade, and it quickly became the series that defined my childhood. I was entranced by its world, the characters, the gameplay. I couldn’t get enough. I started drawing the characters simply because I couldn’t play during class haha. My imagination flourished because of these games. Because of that, I feel my childhood never died, I can always come back to this world with the same childish nostalgia to remind me that things are always okay, that maybe life does just need a good friend at your side to keep pushing forward. Despite that it was a series that I was kind of lonely about, nobody I knew from then till now really understood how important this series was. Im 27 now, with a family of my own. This is the first time I felt like I had a full conversation about this amazing series. It may have been one sided, but as a battle network fan to another, thank you so much, I finally feel that I have appreciated this series with someone else. Not to sound too cheesy, but I will raise my daughter to have no worries about having that same kind of childish imagination this game gave me, no matter what it is for her. To that all I have left to say is, for me, Battle Network… End. :)
Megaman BN6 was something that literally stuck with me my entire life. I played it as a kid, and 12 years later, I still play it on my phone. I never could talk about it though, because no one else (that I knew) even heard of the game before, so its very refreshing to see the game get the recognition and praise it deserved.
Just want to point out: you can recover HP lost to Dark Chips. There's a gauntlet of battles in Murkland battling dark reflection of Mega's resonate souls. If you get to the end and defeat dark Megaman you get the HP back.
You can't get your lost HP back, although you'll never lose more than 500HP. Your reward for clearing Black Earth 2 is the SoulCleanser Program. If Megaman's karma drops below a certain threshold this program is needed to become Light Megaman. It also allows you to become Light Megaman faster.
When the OST montage started playing I almost shed a tear, it took me to back to 10 year old me, to when I first defeated gregar. This is one of my favorite franchises. Thanks for making this
Four words. One Step From Eden. You’re obviously here either to see if you like MMBN, or because you know you like it. And One Step From Eden plays just like this series, and it’s got its own twists and it’s a blast
I love your two Mega Man battle network videos! I love how in depth you talk about the plots in all of them because I'm someone who has a lot of trouble beating rpg games so this is a nice way to experience the games outside of playing them!
You could actually brick the cartridges, at the beginning in Higg's chip shop you can link red sun and blue moon to custom make tournaments BUT if you tried this at the beginning before the first tournament with no version exclusive navis would actually make the games unplayable. Also the Woodman glitch has a different form where the game crashes exiting random viruses battles during the scenario.
The first MMBN I played was MMBN 3. It is one of the most memorable GBA games I played. The last MMBN game I played was MMBN 4. I'll have to pick up the collection on sale and give them all a try. But it was a disappointing experiencing playing 4 after how great 3 was.
How fast the MegaMan Battle Network and Starforce games can definitely gives Game Freak a run for their money. They essentially went 8 years straight making this side series for more than 8 games little to no glitches, which is something the Pokémon games cannot boast.
An interesting theory I saw regarding Bass claims every time we encounter him post Alpha it's actually a different clone of him from Gospel's attempts at cloning him.
I remember how busted Colonel Soul is if you give the Arm Slot with a Skelly 3 chip. Basically, not only it auto-hits the target, but it also gives them a confusion status effect, lowering their attack rate and accuracy, with the inclusion of faster charge speed.
Mega Man NT Warrior was the series that really got me into reading manga. I kind of always assumed it followed the plot of the games pretty closely, but it sounds like there were a lot of differences! That said, Mega Man Star Force was the series that got me into RPGs, so I can't wait to hear your thoughts on it!

Oh true actually forgot about that
The game is so objectively horrible I’d not have been shocked if Match didn’t know who we were lol
Nah, Tamako got her memory wiped by Capcom’s deadline. It was an unfortunate event, especially after BN4 she was then wiped from the timeline.
To be honest. I only played 3 and 4 as a kid ( and to this day actually) and i always treated 4 as a soft reboot story wise.
@@Wutever I mean it’s not… except for the part that everyone being more stupid
I hope they would remake the series one day
doubts, 6 was the best one easy
really? It's a shame because 6 is so ridiculously polished and fun gameplay wise that it's my 1st/2nd favorite in the series
thats fucking crazy because 5 and 6 are the best ones

And thank you for helping out with Blue Moon!
This game series had the best music in Gameboy history. The composer really pushed the limits of the hardware.
Fr bruh
Agreed. If not one of the best Soundtracks on the GBA
It's pretty depressing because I *_really_* love Mega Man Battle Network.
Have you played "One step from Eden"?
Same by a ton. It's practically my overall introduction to the MegaMan franchise alone.

The fact that BN 5 adapted the Human Instrumentality Project will haunt me forever. Good Job with these Videos, it was a lot of fun to recap my childhood like this. Keep up the good work
My favorite is still 5 and Team Colonel specifically, i just love the cast and the plot felt like it has more sense than team Protoman
Oh yeah I agree!
its also canon considering 6. Also, Tomahawkman appears in Falzer version, and you can pick him to face Colonel, his former comrade. Gregor version doesnt have a unique encounter (well, unless you see choosing Mr.Match as a way for him to finally redeem himself)

The Battlenetwork anime is surprisingly brutal in some instances. Even Megaman delivers heavy blows.
The animation still holds up very well on Season 1 & 2!
Don't forget the manga too. Megaman is WAY more brutal in there than in the games and anime combined.
@@R.J.Crimson99 I need to watch/read it!!
I couldn't believe someone dislike the last episode of axess, I was like what?
Just started watching it today ❤
Dude, I'm so happy with your videos on this series. Not only did you give it an honest chance (most other youtubers aside from a small few brush it off in favor of just megaman classic or X), but you also really went into depth about all the things that made this series so great. (Some faults too, but what game doesn't?)
These games were a big part of my child hood (In part, a reason I am still alive today), so seeing someone genuinely enjoy it was like reliving it again. I'm super excited to see what you do with Starforce, a series that I think even exceeds battle network in terms of story.
Battle Network 4's replayability is really bad too. There's nothing to do after, unlike 3 which has bosses and a bonus area
OOF
MMBN 4 does have a secret Undernet area called Murkland, but you have to go through the game 5 times in order to gain access to it. 😡
Bass: "I'm just doing this on a whim..."
Tsundere Bass. 4.5 is a dating simulator, isn't it
Didn’t even mention the EX virus battles where youd talk to one guy in the school and hed unlock the ability to encounter stronger versions of normal viruses and upon beating them youd get to use them in virus vs virus battles, i loved that minigame
Man hearing that hero music made tear up a bit. Probably the only game I've gone back to for years since I was a kid.
Loved these videos. Always nice to see the series get some attention and you did a great job covering them.
Looking forward to your StarForce videos. I think those games are pretty good but, not as good as BN.
I haven't played starforce. What made them inferior to battle network?
@@darkhorse744 lmao
Mega Man Battle Network. A Real-Time card game that won our hearts. I can't wait for a legacy collection, or if nothing else, another franchise with the serial numbers filed off. One Step From Eden is great, but if we can get an RPG again, that would be fantastic.
2023 is the planned release for MMBN collection (in 2 parts)
Great video and finale to this series. After recently playing through 6 for the first time in over 13 years, it definitely holds up. One of the best in the series.
Finally Part 2, It's a shame how the series ended the way it did. The latter half of these games had good concepts but less than stellar execution. There are still some things to really like about these games and at least they went out on a good note.
Can't believe there are 7 of them for gameboy advance and there's more on the DS
Thank you for all your hard work and time putting on this games, a channel like you spreading the good word on all those fantastic games is all we needed! I love your channel and i will continue to support you

A year later the Megaman Battle Network Legacy Collection comes out and sells over a million copies in 2 weeks. MMBN is back baby!
You did a wonderful job. You went through every game fairly and in detail. I appreciate the amount of dedication you put in this. Thank you
I heard Capcom has something planned for Battle Network’s 20th anniversary. I only own the third game and Operate Shooting Star so I’d love it if they release a collection of the GBA games for Switch.
Maybe it’s the BN collection?
Probably… or maybe Battle Network 7 for Switch! 0% chance with that…
@@Animemus Ehhhh, I love these games to death but I genuinely don’t want a BN7. 6 had a pretty fantastic ending for the series and I like that battle network is one of the 2 ( kinda 3 ) Megaman series that had the deceny to end
@@zyro7756 It ended nicely, but I’ve kinda wondered what the world was like during Patch’s time. It was cool getting to read a little bit from Lan’s diary in Starforce 2. @@Animemus Well Starforce takes place about 200 years after BN6 and I think Patch’s time would be like 30 years after BN6 at most
You wanna do a ridiculous RPG retrospective? ALL the Xeno-games: Xenogears, Xenosaga, and Xenoblade. Perhaps chart the evolution of an author, as Takahashi finally learned to tell the grand epic he wanted to tell since Xenogears once he was given a little bit of money and a clear "vision" (Shulk jokes!).
Finally, it's here. Thanks for the hard work!
Amazing video. Wrapped up and helped me relive my teenage years, going through one of the most memorable series I’ve ever enjoyed but don’t really have the same/energy to do nowadays. Thank you so much!
Wish come true, thank you for this video and congratulations for the Megaman battle network legacy collection announcement
Honestly, before i watched this video i was expecting the best BN video and, yep, you nailed it, this is easily the best BN video, i shudder to think how much effort went into this video, i really hope this video blows up (although knowing UA-cam it probably won't) it's more than deserved.
Fun Fact: In BN6 after defeating Bass SP you unlock even stronger versions of the WWW navis and after defeating Bass BX you can find him as a random encounter in Graveyard
Beating him doesn't give you anything though.
Fun fact mmbn4 was my intro into the series, fucking fell in love. Dont really remember very much since i was young but i remember atleast getting to the final boss and always leaving him at 1 hp because i thought it would delete my save. Although I didn't know about replaying the tournaments I thought it was just random which 4 souls you got
Actually have a game breaking bug with woodman where I skipped some objective or something and the game would always crash
My favorite childhood game series! The amount of work and effort you put into this video is absolutely amazing! Thank you for this!
Studio wasn’t the one Andrew Francis was in, handed it off to a branch of it
Wow just wow.

I really appreciate this look at a series I once dismissed as going on for too long. You've convinced me to play through the ones I ignored (though I might pass on 4). Really good videos. I think you're underrated.
This game series is one of the most underrated ever, star force unfortunately doesn't get enough credit and I'm excited to see you go through it
(or not, I'm not gonna go deal with T2+ Mokos for their chips for the sake of 100% completion anyway lul)
I think having not played it in so long might be a little beneficial for me though as I haven't played it due to our GBA SP's L button being nonfunctional until last week when I found out a really simple way (way simpler than I ever probably would've thought of) to quite practically breathe some life back into that old clunker of a button.
Thank you so much for this series! Cannot wait to learn more about the sequel through you
These games were my childhood, I hope with the recent rise of this game getting more attention it will give capcom the idea to do a reboot of the series with changes that are more modern cause our Internet dominated society really matches the game's world, has a huge potential to resonate with this generation.
Had to watch in segments but what an amazing pair of videos! Thank you for giving this series the attention and coverage it deserves
You uploaded this on my birthday. I can't wait to see your coverage on more games I loved growing up
I think the voice acting for 5 DS was great, Lan and Megaman sound way too old tho.
To that all I have left to say is, for me,
Battle Network…
End. :)
I've been waiting a long time for this
So happy to see it finally uploaded
Megaman BN6 was something that literally stuck with me my entire life. I played it as a kid, and 12 years later, I still play it on my phone. I never could talk about it though, because no one else (that I knew) even heard of the game before, so its very refreshing to see the game get the recognition and praise it deserved.
Usually I lose interest in long videos and watch something else but this one kept me interested throughout the whole time.
Thank you so much for making these videos! I LOVE this series and I hope we get some kind of collection like with the other MegaMan games!
Just want to point out: you can recover HP lost to Dark Chips. There's a gauntlet of battles in Murkland battling dark reflection of Mega's resonate souls. If you get to the end and defeat dark Megaman you get the HP back.
Based and Nebula-pilled.
Oh. Would have been nice to know 15 years ago when I played it.
Huh, interesting it really does cleanse your soul

You could actually brick the cartridges, at the beginning in Higg's chip shop you can link red sun and blue moon to custom make tournaments BUT if you tried this at the beginning before the first tournament with no version exclusive navis would actually make the games unplayable.
