I just got a simplex and have only used it twice. Seems like a hot machine so far. I noticed the 90deg turn and number fluctuations seem to indicate a non round shaped object. The bullet case you dug and I dug a similar old one, did that. Thanks for showing us the vdi and playing the tones. It helps with the learning process.
Thanks for watching. That was the game plan showing the tones. I know I always like seeing videos tones and VDI when I'm learning a machine. Good luck with the simplex
Thanks. It seems like its gonna be a pretty decent machine for the price. You get all the added bonuses that even some of the 600$ machines don't even have
It was a heavy piece. Could have been one reason. But you just never know. I've found modern coins 10 inches deep. But have also found 1800s coins close to the surface. A lot of the time it depends on the density of the soil. Other times it may have had dirt thrown over it during a home renovation. Just gotta learn the detector and decide which tones you will dig and ones that you wont
I dont know but that Simplex seems to have a 2.67 or 2.68 Firmware version according with the screen and it sounds slightly different than my Simplex running 2.78 Firmware. I would like to find a Simplex in 2.67 or 2.68 version.
Thus was early in the beginning of the simplex. Can't remember what version. This video was like 2 years old. But regardless of version. Simplex does well. Have a great one
Yeah nice video keep the info going I am about ready to pull the trigger. Did you figure the problem with the "Cold" and your machine? only asking because your cold is like my hot, yesterday three inches deep of frozen ground here thanks and HH
I was running the camera alone again. I hate that. But Jordan will be back with me soon. He's been spending his free time in the woods hunting for whitetails
Yes it is. Still like my At Pro when I'm in the water. Which isnt very often. If I had to rely on water detecting. I'd given up long ago. Thanks for watching
Hi, I'm late to the party. Just got a Simplex. It was used 3x and the person couldn't or wouldn't get the hang of it. I was wondering what mode you were shooting in when you found the merc? I ask because my machine came with 2.78 of the firmware already installed. Thanks in advance for any help, just subscribed too :)
When that coin was found I was in field mode. Field mode is for a little deeper targets. Where park mode is based around separation becuase usually your park holds a lot more trash in the ground.
@@AquaLandRelics Thank you for the reply on a 3 year-old posting. Took to a school, worked like a normal machine, took to a park and on both occasions it chattered so much that getting targets was difficult to notice. Lowered sensitivity, was in park 1, tried both methods of ground balance, still NG. My sons Vanquish was quiet. The new Xterra Pro looks just like a Simplex for 270...
@@AquaLandRelics Thanks, I watched the video "Simplex Chatter GOOD or BAD? Here Is My Best Tip! PART 1".. I see what you mean. While the chatter appears minimal, its the LIGHT sounds that will be missed as put off as chatter. I literally tried everything to quiet it down. Found 19 coins including a '35 Wheat, but I felt like I worked to get those coins. There was no sweep, hear and dig situations.
Did you ground balance, lower your depth, was there a lot of power lines in the area, was your detector low on battery. Make sure coil wire is always tight to control box. Do you wrap your coil around the shaft. If so do you always start out by going over top of the shaft. And lastly. There is usually a piece of velcro on your coil wire. Where I begin to wrap my coil. I like to have that piece of velcro there. Keeps that wore from falling down close you your coil. Can give you false signals that way. Sorry if that is a long answer to maybe a short question. But there is a ton of variables. The simplex is a hot machine. So doesn't take much to sometimes get false signals (chatter)
We have quite a few videos our with the simplex. And to answer your question the simplex will find anything any other detector will find. It's a solid machine!
Well we'll well. Thanks for the professional criticism. But for one it's a go pro, which has no focus. So focusing the camera may be a little hard. Since then we have gotten a much better camera that can now do great close ups. But pretty sure from the sounds of your sarcastic comments. No matter what we would do it would never live up to your perfection. But thanks for the view and the comments. It all is a help toward growing our channel. Have a blessed dayyyyyyyyyy.
Not real sure why I didn't get the tone on video. Video like almost 2 years old. But you can see when I pulled it out of the ground the nice impression it left on the clod. Probably was a lazy moment. Was expecting another wheat cent. Lol. But thanks for watching and your comment. 🤔🤔

The find at 5:50 , how does that end up so deep in the ground ?

It takes some tweaking. We have a video about the simplex chatter is it good or is it bad. Can't remember the exact title. But check that one out

i cant find mercs so i bought a set lol then i resold them since the 1916d cost to much lol
I've actually found alot of mercs. Way more than I have of rosies. Good luck with your digging
Will the Simplex find Relic or Gold?

pleaseeeeeee learn how to focus your camera. it makes seeing the detail of the coin impossible when it's blurry.
