Don't forget sheriffs are an elected position and that does actually make them politicians to a certain degree. But it also means he can be held accountable in an election by his community.

Why does the cocopah tribe not support a border wall? I get the river aspect and ask for a gate. Illegals flood into the reservation. If the cocopah people want open borders fine, maybe the border wall should go outside of the reservation, keeping the illegals locked onto your reservation.

Except he doesn't have any solutions either. He just casts blame. The root of the problem is in other nations. When someone leaves Venezueala, or El Salvador, Ukraine, or any of the places mentioned here, then it potentially becomes a problem for us. When will guys like the sheriff stop blaming and start talking about how to keep these people from leaving their homes, whereever that might be, in the first place. It's a daunting problem; one that has no perfect solution. It isn't about who you can blame. The only thing that slowed it down at all was a global pandemic.

Im trying to understand, under the previous administration there was title 42 which still exists but its for Mexicans. Under the previous administration he said the rule of law was enforced in the prior administration ... what rule of law is not enforced now? Title 8 and 42 haven't changed. In India most people come from specific states because they think it's better to work in USA than in India but it's much more difficult to start life in USA than leaving your existing living in india. They pay hefty amounts to pass borders not less than 20k dollars for one in that much amount of money you can open a successful grocery Mart in India in a city
Mexicans don’t immigrate anymore, more Mexicans go back to Mexico than come into the USA. But there are a lot of other Latin American immigrants.
Some people from central america , when they arrived to the U.S border start saying that they are from Mexico.

I'm from India but moved to US when i was a kid but lemme tell you I've had AT LEAST 15-20 family, relatives or friends hop the border within the last 7-8 yrs from India. And all just from my One state in India lol. Mexicans and central americans are the most for sure. But it's everyone from around the world as you seen in this video.

Every day the county Sherriff has to deal with this and while he is dealing with this he can't be at two places at once so he can't deal with the other daily crimes in the county. It's a serious drain on law enforcement.

That's the misconception my ancestors get. Family would literally come over for the weekend for a party and then leave. People don't realize a couple decades ago it was so easy for mexicans to cross over. Super easy to get a visa. Things changed, especially after 911. Now visas are cap, and literally people from all over are trying to cross the border, and most of them are from all over the world, especially central america.
