The cinematography and editing on your intros is stupendous, man. No shit, you guys have really been stepping up your game and it's noticed and appreciated.
Mad props to Gabe! Not only does dude build good shit & drive the Hell out of it, he also understands the business end & marketing. Everybody involved in the truck build got a proper shoutout. 👍
I hope Formula Drift and Gymkhana can build a whole community w/ Touge events and everything too. It's be sweet to see Gabe enter something like Gymkhana with that truck.
I learned by watching Tony Angelo how much goes into just about any vehicle if you want to drift properly...it takes some work....stuff way above my head.. but I do respect the work done

@@stephencurry8552lmao, I always wonder how people live under a rock in 2024. Have you never heard of sarcasm? Come on man... You must be REEEEALLY fun at parties. (Oh no, I put to many E's in really 😅)
Grew up in Cen cal ,wrenching with buddies made a career building very high end show and comp cars over all the 30 odd years am more drawn back to builds like this without all the unnecessary fluff truck is all business bad ass!
I’ve owned a total of 8 different Squarebody Chevys and this one is by far the coolest thing I’ve seen done to one, I currently own a jacked up 3/4 ton with about 40k dumped into it and it could totally use that wide body kit. This kid is a savage behind the wheel, great work to both of you I love it!
This makes me, for the 1st time, feel how old I am. I built a slammed 7/9 '85 square body on 17s with a built sbc 358 20yrs ago........Drifting wasn't a thing back then, but I get the build, 100 % !
I really enjoy these types of builds and the guys who drive the hell out of them. I get the whole collecting cars scene, but driving them hard and enjoying them for what they were meant to do is so much more honest and real (and relatable). Awesome truck and video!
I'm a Ford guy with a fondness for the old square bodies and this is probably my favorite build featured on this channel. I LOVE trucks that get used for their intended purpose!
3:09 Driver cars are fun, and top dollar cars are beautiful, but they're all purposed builds, which depends on the owner's goal(s). Some guys values experiences more than creativity and art. Action-orientated, adrenaline junkie versus guys that rather chill and enjoy X thing. Usually happens to those who experience long term isolation with time to reflect on their own character. Hence, why all builds are different, all builds are a reflection of their owners. Not to get too preachy, just talking my mind out! Sick C10 tho 💪💪
@@AutotopiaLA yessir! everyone has a story, ya kno, its up to us to be interested or not. And willingly be interested in other people's story is a master-key to connections, communities, tribes...; we just do better united than alone 🤷♂ its how life works. 🙏 Long live the car community.
I wonder if it's one of those weird offset grind situations. Or a 3.5" stroke instead of a 3.48. I've seen stuff like that. Saves you from needing to deck the block during a rebuild.
I do so enjoy the stuff you guys find!!! This guy and his truck are AWESOME! I’d hang out with him, and I’d love to drive that truck! I like to build race trucks, myself (Built my first one, when I dropped a Twin-turbo 300zx motor from a ‘91 TT ZX into my 1990 rcsb Nissan Hardbody with the Z’s manual transmission and a ‘88 corvette rear IRS setup. That was back in ‘92.). There’s something about taking a pickup and making it handle better than a sports car.. or making it faster than the fastest muscle cars…. It’s just wrong, but in a way that just feels so… RIGHT.
This was probably the most enjoyable episode I have watched on this channel!! He really drove that truck and loved every minute unlike so many cars that have been on the show. A lot of the vehicles that have been on the show, they just cruise around a little bit and that’s it. It just goes to show that anyone that has the drive and ambition can succeed to accomplish what they set out to do!
This is the only good news I've seen out of LA in quite some time. The rest is full of doom and gloom politics. Thanks for doing your part, paving the streets.
met gabe a couple years ago at ihs house in sd, and really enjoyed meeting him and looking over his truck! super cool kid, and worked really hard to get where he is today.
It would be cool to see you do some features at Track days, auto cross cars, drift cars, drag cars etc . Get to see some of these builds doing their intended purpose. Just a thought! Great video, Hell ya Gabe 🤙
What a Humble Badass !! Looks and Drives like a Devil !! I Love The Channel ! Square Bodies Rule !! I like that you bring a every end of Hot Rodding to the People ! But I Gotta say this one was Fun !!
Truck is truly a ticket master... Shawn is prolly ineligible, black balled from all accident, health insurance companies... Subbed, and always a thumbs up!
I love this truck !!!😊 I used to have a 1984 GMC Sierra 3/4 Ton rwd . I upgraded to a 350 crate motor, 400 turbo transmission automatic w overdrive, 4:10 Eaton Heavy Duty rear end ,Heavy duty ambulance brakes disk front and rear, Heavy duty radiator, Holly 4bbl carburetor w in line fuel injection...😊😊😊about 400 hp...I crashed it and couldn't afford to get it out of the police impound, so they sold it....😢
The cinematography and editing on your intros is stupendous, man. No shit, you guys have really been stepping up your game and it's noticed and appreciated.
@CyberDocUSA thanks for noticing. I love what the team has been doing!
nice truck purpose build nice guy down to earth my kind of guy good job shawn not just rich guys cars or truks.
He’s a great guy and very determined and driven
Mad props to Gabe! Not only does dude build good shit & drive the Hell out of it, he also understands the business end & marketing. Everybody involved in the truck build got a proper shoutout. 👍
He’s a class kid and look forward to watching him grow his business and driving career
Hell, I’m ready to ship a truck to him! 👍
remember kids instead of going into debt for the next 8 years buying a car you can build something like this. im surprised that is only a sbc 350.
Shows that a few hundred hp with a proper set up can really rip!
Remember kids don't drive like an idiot...
For a car to have fun with sure I wouldn’t recommend this if it’s gonna be your only car .
Seriously. For that matter, why go into debt going to college when you can just be the old Chevy drift truck guy?
I hope Formula Drift and Gymkhana can build a whole community w/ Touge events and everything too. It's be sweet to see Gabe enter something like Gymkhana with that truck.
That would be awesome!
This is actually what I’m building now but with an LS. I’m about 95% done. Video made me extra motivated to finish!
Love that he is all about the local parts and shops!
You can keep the 6 figure + builds. THIS is what it's all about! The fancy builds are sick n all, but these feel sooo much better!! Awesome!! 👌🏾🤙🏾
Glad to see dude made it. I’ve been following him for years
Been waiting a while to have Gabe on here
Basic SBC build sounds insane, Gabes C10 is a stripped down Mechanical Barenuckle Fighter💯👌👍
I learned by watching Tony Angelo how much goes into just about any vehicle if you want to drift properly...it takes some work....stuff way above my head.. but I do respect the work done
As much fun as you can have still wearing pants 🎉🎉🎉❤ ✌️🤙🤙
This is 1000% my next build. Been inspired by this truck and Gabe since the old ig days ❤ I'll be in touch 2025
Trust me, currently 18 and in hs w a square w a mild 350, you won’t regret it, I daily mine it’s nothing crazy but do it broth !
Don't wait to do something that you can start right now. That's how dreams die.

Would love to see that truck rocking a boosted 427,Man would be unstoppable
That’s a sick squarebody
Absolutely love how he is not precious with this truck. It is a tool and it gets the job done! So rad!

That rear 3/4 view from the back looks sick with those pumped out guards. What a beast. Great to see the small block too.
It’s a mean little/wide truck!

Quite the young man! He has the work ethic and skill to go far.
I agree
"I still learn every time i get behind the wheel" .... much respect my dude💪🏽
Please get Gabe on the podcast! He's a f-ing riot! Wild man.
We’re going to for sure!
I'm a Ford guy with a fondness for the old square bodies and this is probably my favorite build featured on this channel. I LOVE trucks that get used for their intended purpose!

355 chevy is bored out but not stoked. I love that it has a small block in there ❤️

This truck is so baller! Gabe is so modest
9:02 that's wild! 12 TIRES just for the rear in 2 days....
300 hp is more than enough for this truck to do what he’s doing , sick build ,badass truck 👍🏼
It's got the weight reduction mod.

Love the comment here! Sure did have a great time shooting with Gabe and his truck
Gabe is awesome man. Been following that guy forever. Never seen someone more humble and down to earth

Had the pleasure of meeting Gabe at his shop in San Diego, solid dude and his work is A1 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Hello everyone!
A perfect formula of power to weight ratio!
Keep up the good work, excellent cameras angles...👍
Love the budget aspect to this build. Purpose built and gets the job done. Would be cool to see more drivers like this.
Damn, this dude is truly self made.
Very cool garage build. Love it! Carbon panels are badass!

Thanks. Gabe is pure cool and I had a blast shooting and riding with him!
The first ride I bought was a C10 . It had a 350 engine with a Holly 4 barrel carb, 4 speed transmission.
Love it …!!! Plus I didn’t stop smiling and laughing when he was driving around with you in it 😂😂😂
It was a wild ride for sure and I loved it!!
Truck is truly a ticket master... Shawn is prolly ineligible, black balled from all accident, health insurance companies... Subbed, and always a thumbs up!

That truck is 🔥, Gabe is in my town of San Diego!!! Some1's but got tight by them curbs!!!!😂😂😂
Really tight but total control is how it felt from my side of the truck
While this truck is not my "cup of tea", I can still admire and appreciate the work and creativity that went into it!!
My guy Gabe is the truth!
Been watching this guy! Sick to see a deep dive!
I seen this truck being towed on a trailer on the freeway once and it looked badass , great build 🙌🏾
For being a relatively low HP level (for builds on the channel), this thing sounds MEAN!!!😈😈😈
I was surprised too about the hp
Bro freaking awesome build. Plus your driving is insane.
Wow. That’s fun! I’m guessing it doesn’t have traction control 😁
lol!
WAY in to the pod idea!
You’re getting big time there Shawn
Next stop Discovery channel? Lol
lol! Let’s go 🤘
Yes go for it bro
I love builds like this
Love it!! Awesome channel!!!
