I have a toddler who loves big machinery -- all your videos are a huge hit! As a parent I appreciate that your videos are free from inappropriate language! He calls you Mr.DigIt and points out the names of various big machinery when he sees it in books, on clothing, or when we drive by construction sites. Thank you and keep it up!
Pond dams were what brought me to your channel a few years ago. They are still my favorite. Something about moving that amount of earth coupled with creating something so useful and beautiful gets me. Sorry to see this one done...but I bet your not. The rain delayed gratification on this one for far too long. Great job as usual. Appreciate your perfectionistic ways. Looking forward to the next. It will probably will be smaller, don't know how it could be much bigger. This one was a beast!
You'll have to revisit the place in a year or two so we can see what it looks like all grown in. Great job! I'm sure the owners will be very pleased! Thanks for the video.
Glad to see you back on the "big dig". After that last video I thought for sure you'd be having to set up some siphon pipe to finish the thing! You'll definitely have to come back when it's full, clear and grass growing around the edge to show us the truly finished product.
It may have been a long job Chris but you have all done another brilliant job and it look fantastic. Nice to see somebody who still takes pride in his work. All the best Graham🇬🇧🇬🇧
I’m glad I when back and watch your earliest video! This was a awesome pond build. I wish I could see some of your beginning video, that would be awesome!👍👍😎🇺🇸🇺🇸
Chris I have to say UA-cam is a perfect fit for a machine operator..... I’ve spent many hrs talking to myself on machines and you’ve found a way to make a profit on it....good job😀
Another awesome job done by Chris, his uncle John and Tim. At least they don't have to worry about Gators up there. To bad they didn't leave a big tree near the edge for a rope swing to fly into the pond next to the beach and attach a water slide to 😄😎
That lake needs a little underwater structure and some largemouth, bluegill, channel catfish, and shiners. Maybe crappie. It seems the owners want it more for the look and atmosphere than fishing. Feed the bluegill so they grow fast and let the others live on shiners and in 4 years you'll have bass topping 7 pounds. They would probably be fat, too. They might top 8. 😁✌️🎣🎣🎣😍
My neighbor built his pond ontop of a bunch of old coal mines that hadnt been used in many years. Everything was fine for 15 years until a saturday . The cows were bawling and he found out why. The pond had disappeared. The weight of the water had pushed into one of the old mine tunnels and completely drained the pond overnight.
ted coffman that’s the risk if you build something like a pond by yourself without knowledge of geology and in the case of your neighbor any maps or documents of the topography of this old mine. Hope the cows get a new pond in another place now.
How about...in your FREE TIME......a nice 30 or so minute drone video with some nice peaceful music in the background, just to bring it all to a nice peaceful conclusion? Great job. Thanks so much for the videos and commentary. You and Timmy make an awesome pair. Changing the map of North Carolina a few acres at a time!
Wow. Beautiful job. I can’t wait to see it in late summer early fall ..if you decide to go back that is. Best damn show on the internet. Thanks. God bless and peace from Va. 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜
Now it must be at the time where we may ask for at flyover with your drone, so we can se your nice work on the whole projekt. It realy looks nice, you absolutly can be happy with that.
Love you channel thank you for all your videos! You are an amazing operator! Question wouldn’t a raucous rake be helpful on the finishing of grade work when as you say the ground is a little sticky for finishing like the grading on pond? Thank you again love your vids!
If you are building the beach I hope we get a good video of how you prep for and fill that in. Do you have to put geo fabric down? What keeps it from washing away the sand?
Did you dig out the little dam you had made above the driveway before it the lake flooded early? When you are riding side slope, I swear at times it looks like you should be rolling over, I know the center of gravity versus the width of the machine will allow it but have you ever rolled one doing side slope?
I go to Great Oaks it's a trade school, the class I'm in teaches heavy equipment, I've had a Dozer on a 60° slope, slope grading and it was super sketchy, makes you sit sideways on your seat and even then it wouldn't flip, after a while you just get used to that kinda stuff😂😂
It sure would have taken you alot longer to move dirt if you still had the other haul truck and never had gotten the one you got now! Lol that 250 would have filled that one up quickly! Looks good bro!
So what is the difference between a pond and a lake? If during the pond bidding process, the plans show the new ponds name as Mattamuskeet. This is probably my sign that it is actually a lake!😁

I enjoy watching your projects. I am 84 and used to work in the trade moving allot of dirt. Never operated a trackhoe. You are an artist.
I cannot wait to see the finished project with grass.
Real nice clean work, Chris. Many generations to come will enjoy y’alls work.
Looking good Chris shame the weather didn't cooperate but that's life, go back later and do a fly-over if you would be great.
You have a great eye and brain that matches your job to look at a piece of land and say this what it will look like when I am finished! just amazing.
its hard to explain but I can just vision what the job is going to look like before I start

Need to make it a point to come back in a year to see how it looks at that point. Do a “then and now” with your drone.
Yes please.
You'll have to revisit the place in a year or two so we can see what it looks like all grown in.

That's an awesome job brother ! You and Tim do great work !
Very good video Chris Love how you work and explain what you do.
That's a really pretty pond setting...Great job..

The sailboat really helped show the scale of how huge this pond is!
I hope the property owner is kind enough to send you a video of what it looks like once the beach , grass and all has settled in.
Very good looking finish! The 'slope trims' always make a project shine!
Another great video and a beautiful project nearing completion! Thanks
Project is coming along nicely
Another excellent job Chris !! I sit in my excavator 12 hours a day and can't wait to get home to watch you guys work !!!
Some dam fine work! 😉
Pond is looking great!

that pond fills up quite quickly!! hope to see a drone shot of this pond :)
That's looking great , it's going to be unreal when it's done !

you sure make operating the equipment look like child's play!!!!! wished I have your finesse.

YES
Man that looks good you should be proud of that job
Nice job! I can't believe how fast that is filling up!!
You should throw a time capsule in the pond with a letsdig shirt and some other goodies in it. Maybe some old farmer will find it in a 100 years.
LOL. He should throw an old rusty excavator bucket and then a farmer will find it and be like- What the??!??!
@@legendaryexplorer8119 haha yes
LOL. Seeing this as winter is coming not summer. Great video. Merry Christmas
That pond job really looks good. I know that’s not a easy thing to do when it’s F N Wet!!
Hell yeah brother, that turned out real nice!
Great job, Chris!
Looking Pretty Killer Chris, Gonna turn out Beautiful..... Coming together quite Nice !!
Really looks good you have all done a brilliant job 👍
What a Difference three (3) days of Drying Out did for this Location. 👍
Hope the leg is better after your fall.
I ENJOYED WATCHING THE VIDEO CHRIS 😊
Hats can be a PIA to print. What does the other side look like with all the water? Will that get drained when they build the bridge?
Wow. Beautiful job. I can’t wait to see it in late summer early fall ..if you decide to go back that is. Best damn show on the internet. Thanks. God bless and peace from Va. 🚜🚜🚜🚜🚜

looks great chris will look really good when its done
that’s what we do. Work it baby. No time off
Sure does look good! 👍
Am I the only one who looks to see what Chris does at work after I get off work every day?
Wow that things filling fast
Very nice work!
Hey, Chris. You're more of an artist than operator...👍
Whats the little pond look like? When do you make the cut? After the house is built?
Nice job...
Looks real nice Chris yep the rain this year is a real pain in the ass killing my weekends here in Ohio
Why is this relaxing?
I bet those boulders that they had to bury and you had to dig up would have looked nice beside the levy if they allowed it
Good job on the pond, wish I had the money it cost to build.
What to your new bucket, wouldn't it been a better choice on the dam slopes.😁😁
Awesome skills. Do you ever leave high spots and deeper spots as fish structure?
nice job. going too be something when done.
Will you guys be seeding and strawing the pond edges?
When’s the big tunnel/bridge thing for the paddle boats going in.
Do some in cab dozer videos! That would be awesome!
You moved a shit load of dirt on this one. Looks great
Looks Awesome ! What's the estimate for the deepest spot ya think ? Thanks & thumbs up !

@@letsdig18, Chris, Thanks for clearing that up !
Nice damn DAM
Love you channel thank you for all your videos! You are an amazing operator! Question wouldn’t a raucous rake be helpful on the finishing of grade work when as you say the ground is a little sticky for finishing like the grading on pond? Thank you again love your vids!
Do you have a drain on this pond, or would you have to siphon it down to drain it?
If you are building the beach I hope we get a good video of how you prep for and fill that in. Do you have to put geo fabric down? What keeps it from washing away the sand?
Watch what you say about the rain and being able to work...don’t count your eggs too early 😂
You would never know that you guys filled in that last bit, it looks like it was made along with the rest of the dam. Great video bro.
what do you do with these ponds.?
do you create them to keep fish.?
How many hours did the 250 end up with on this project?
Did you dig out the little dam you had made above the driveway before it the lake flooded early?
When you are riding side slope, I swear at times it looks like you should be rolling over, I know the center of gravity versus the width of the machine will allow it but have you ever rolled one doing side slope?

that little dam broke but its still backing up a little water. Ive never rolled a machine but Ive been puckered a few times
You should work with Bunker Branding to help with the merch.
Michael Johnson I’ve said that before too. Would definitely help him.
Hey Chris,is there any reason that you dont use a larger smooth edge bucket doing these cleanups?
We always put a 2ft crown on a dam that size when it settled it would be level and not have a swaid back dam
Hey Chris just imagine coming back to desilt the pond
nice job
could you show us what it looks like when its full. thanks
Do you ever do a follow up video after its been hydro seeded
Looks good👍 If it was gov't work you wouldn't be that far a long.
you guys putting any fish in there when the water clears up ?
What you need is a remote control boat and put a go pro on it and run it around the pond
It sure would have taken you alot longer to move dirt if you still had the other haul truck and never had gotten the one you got now! Lol that 250 would have filled that one up quickly! Looks good bro!
Where the hell do you get time to do it all !!???
I don’t know how much they are worth, but one of those wheeled compactor / dozers , would do wonders for that project .
Woo hoo!
Navy blue shirt with what color of ink for the print?
that is one big swimming pool 😄
do you have to seed and straw the dam?
hydro seed
How your leg doing when you hurt it working on your trailer
Need on board video of the dozer
Hey hows your leg doing from the trailer incident?? I guess it been a couple days now since you filmed that video?
looks like Ive been hit with a bat
Ouch!!
Dam it looks good lol
Did you pull your temporary damn out on they higher side or did it just get overwhelmed in the heavy rain you had?
it busted but its still there
