Chris I have been watching you for what over 4 years and I have seen how you have gotten so much better at what you do. You learn as you go. I worked on the CN railway for 31 years I never stopped learning things to better my job or my self and my mind. I can say you are the same. God bless you and stay safe sir. I so enjoy your videos thanks so much for posting.
Someone shared a video of a big wrecker trying to pull a concrete truck back onto a built up dirt road on facebook the other day. The concrete truck was only a little tilted at the back because the driver couldn't back up and stay on the road at the same time, then with the assistance of the wrecker (whose operator didn't know what they were doing either from the way he had it rigged up) it ended up on it's side and flung the driver (who for some reason was stood on the passenger side step during the winching) out onto the ground.
Hey Wildman I just looked and found almost a gallon of Volvo paint renewal product. it will restore the shine on any older paint that is faded if you want it you can have it. all you have to do is wash the machine and spray this on.
We used to have trouble with different substances hanging up in the bed until we screwed UHMW sheets into the bed. Slick as you might think. You can get it from most commercial places that sell conveyor belting.
Nice video. Do you think you could you do a video with the drone and explain all you have done in this big project, I get a little lost on what your working on.
I've seen truck videos in russia that has the exhaust outlet of the engine connected to the dump box, I guess that will keep the box warm and prevent the material from getting stuck
I'm really enjoying these videos of the ponds. I just want to say that I know nothing about an excavator and this statement will probably make that obvious. I've seen you go backwards in other videos but as I was watching you, no matter which way your bucket was facing you pushed the peddles down. Is it, which ever way your bucket is facing, is that forward? Thanks and stay safe!
I agree, all the cement trucks today have a wash down hose because they can get fined if stray concrete falls onto a road surface .And while it's wet you can flush the bucket clean using his hose .
I was wondering how you were going to get the concrete down there. Fergeson the compactor company made a tow behind compactor that was towed with a dozer or wheel dozer that had 4 large tires and a bo that had 4 large concrete weights. If I remember right it weighed 50 tons for building dams. You have convinced me on the truck as a compactor. With the tires you get some nice compaction.
I mean some of the osh kosh front loader trucks we have up here can be damn bears if it was wet 3 months ago. At least when there loaded. But even in Massachusetts they'll go down the damn hill. They just might not get back up
Wow you guys do a great job but what surprised me the most is at the end of the video when you made the comment that you had to scauhdoole I haven't heard that word in many many years you surprise me with that one Young fella
wow...them drivers around here will pull up on about anything but loose backfill unless its flat..that slope is pretty mild looking for him to back down there
Will you be able to finish before the water really becomes a problem? Looks like it's gaining on yall........ Also will you go back and take the coffer dams out?

But he needed to stop work process so he can pontificate. I admire your patience. He was a nuisance distraction I'm sure
Stephen Keefer some times I think uncle would be better off to say hear Chris go do this job and let me know when your done. But we know uncle is the boss for now. Lol
Hey Chris do you use what kind of grease gun? do you use a hand, air , battery what brand if power. the older i get the less my hand likes the squeeze . you have a helper for that ? or is it you? i wish i had a service rig again instead of handThanks for any ideas work.. Buy a 5 gal bucket of Form Release (www.advanceconcreteform.com/product_detail.php?id=608&cid=26) from Advance Concrete Forms. Mix it 5:1 with diesel in a pump up sprayer and spray your bucket and shovels next time you have to transport concrete and you wont have to worry about it sticking.
That was a lot of money for concrete . I don’t know how much they charge for a yard but Wooten is like $131.00 a yard . But if you gotta have it you gotta have it . But great job as always
Wowww. We are 103. Per yd. But we have a massive amount of natural gravel and clean chrushed stone in this area. All front loaders for past 30 plus years
Hell building my dads mobile home park we would build the pads for the mobile homes up and then use a truck loaded to the gills and then some to pack the select fill. That was done in 2001 and those mobile home haven't had to be re leveled yet. That dirt is like concrete
I remember one real wet year. we called for a prefab concrete septic tank. the driver would back into the job site and set the tank with the truck. It was raining the week prior. it was raining when he showed up. He drove out into the pasture and promptly sank to the axle. the cross truck axle acted as shoring to stop his downward descent . boss used the JD 510 C to push on the front bumper. BOOM buckets thru the radiator. We pushed the truck backward. unloaded the tank, pulled the truck out to the road , removed the radiator. Took it and the driver to a repair shop, Took the driver home ( 90 minutes one way) then went back and put in the leach field and hooked the house up to the tank. Of course I got the blame/credit for him putting the bucket thru the radiator.

@@BornRandy62 I remember it well. Twenty years ago I was on the way to my son's college graduation and I thought, "I SHOULD make a video of this. We paid enough for his college education. What's another $700 for a video camera? Priceless memories." We managed to get about 10 minutes of his graduation ceremony. Yep, still have the VHS tape. Somewhere. Man, that's going to be a really nice area when it's finished! A good job, nicely done.
Thanks for the video.
Be nice to see this job when it is fully completed and signed off Chris.
One helluva cheque heading the Companies way 😉👍🏼
Looks awesome !!
Nice job again Chris....👌👍
My friend your one smooth operator 😎 👍👍👍
I really enjoyed this video ... especially when you were talking us through the "feel" of digging into the dam.
You guys do great work. 👍👍🇵🇪🐕
Nicely done!!!!!!!
Great precision work with the bucket while setting that riser!
1 slip, and it's a pile of rubble. Lol
yeah who'd've thought you could use 'delicate work' and 'excavator' in the same sentence lol.
Who else caught themselves swiping at that spot on his windshield like you're actually there ?
Me thinks I need more coffee.
You should get spatterco oil for the bucket it’s used on concrete pump hoppers to make it easier to clean splatters off
Diesel baby
Man you guys finally getting the sun
I enjoy watching you do your thing, Chris!
Got to love the bojingles in the morning
Great video bro, nice bit of fine tuning on that riser pipe too.
Progress looks great that should be quite awesome when it's done.
I love how boss man ain’t afraid to do the work!

what a touch! sweet
Love watching the videos. Guy in white shirt acts like he is boss, thought you were
That's his uncle his uncle owns the company.
Old excavator guy I know always said you get at least 95% compaction with rubber tire!
that guy sounds fun to work with, the guy that calculated the concrete...
Hmm get a set of sheepsfoot wheels for a set of the rear wheels on the truck?
Why do operators always put boom preasure down when turning tracks? Is it only when your stationary to ease wear on tracks?
It's got a nitrous button 👍
Whats your best tips to be a good operator? Finishing school in a few months and aimed to be a operator.
Should have made him sign a waiver if he got concrete on the machine he had to wash the hole machine

That waiver probably speaks to the quality of driver they are employing mate.
Do they measure bucket volume with a level bucket, or a big scoop of dirt
👍👍 👍
I know a Bojangles’ cup when I see one. Because I see one in my hand most mornings. lol.
Maybe the next bucket U need to have made is a bucket for cement skittle bigger

Spray some diesel on the bucket. It keeps the concrete from sticking.
