Since the Champion Edition was just a limited run, I've included some links in the description of this video to the 5in1 and the 0702 dual ball bearing motors since these were what set it apart from the standard version. Happy flying!
Little tip for future reference, the motor output limit will also impact the PID tune. Which is great if you are using a higher voltage battery (6s battery on 4s motors for example). If you just want to scale down your raw speed, I would recommend to use throttle limit, which can be found in the Rateprofile Settings tab. Set Throttle Limit to SCALE and set the percentage to whatever you want. It will maintain full stick resolution, and scale 0-100% stick input to 0-XX% stick input.
@@sanderpuhFPV Yknow what, I honestly don't remember when I started changing motor output limit to lower kv XD. thank you for the input man! Ill defenitely clear it up in the future videos and will start using throttle limit scale on all my builds instead of motor output limit!
I don't know of any 0702 motor with bearings that weighs less than 1.5g. Whereas the traditional bushing design is a lot lighter - NBD and Betafpv's bushing 0702 both weigh ~1.3g. That's 0.8g of weight saving for one whoop, which is significant. It's an endless debate whether the benefits of a motor with dual bearings justify the added weight. Sure, it flies smoother, more efficiently, and lasts for more packs, but at so many races I attend these days, everybody builds a brand new quad with brand new FC, motors, frame just for brackets, which are usually 3-lap full send races that don't require tremendous efficiency anyway, also since everyone is charging to 4.35V.
thank you for the input man! it's always good to get the perspective of actual professional pilots like you! perhaps the dual ball bearing setup is more suited for pilots who aren't necessarily going to compete but maybe just training on a frequent basis where longevity is a nice bonus. But I do agree that it makes more sense to have a new fresh setup. in all honesty, I didn't get to mention this in the video but I genuinely think that dual ball bearing motors is more of a freestyle advantage. Added longevity/durability + weight isn't as detrimental compared to a racing setup. ps. I remembered you being referred to as "Yup" instead of "Yap" when I made the script of this video XD
I ordered one of these at 8pm the next morning I went to check out more info on the website and it was sold out so I got one of the last ones. I can confirm this is much better for freestyle than the freestyle version. The power is a pretty big difference.
@@MrHeller55 lucky man! I hope you enjoy the champion edition and to anyone who is reading this, I've also included links to the motors and aio since that's mainly the difference between it and the standard Air65. and yeah XD I've even replied to werdna here in the comments section saying that maybe this should've been advertised as a freestyle drone since longevity + smoothness + a little weight is smth freestylers may like.
nice vid, man! just wanna ask, where did you buy all of your stuffs for this hobby? I'm also from the Philippines and currently looking for a trusted store to start with this hobby.
@@vanxgamer9843 Hey hey! most of the things I buy for myself is from shopee (there's a couple of trusted stores we use like qinout but there's some local stores like drone hub) or in some cases, second hand stuff from the fpv gcs we have.
I saw the hq ultralight on your desk did you fly it with that props and if yes how is it on them ? I am curious it comes tomorrow and i have a bunch of the hq!

@@FusionKiwi-s9k I'd say the Champ is slightly better but thats really dependent on skill level. If you're comfortable with the high KV, the champ is great, but the standard versions are fine too
Yup! the original on it is dipole but you can either shorten the antenna and/or remove the bell. That reduces your range a bit - but if you're just flying inside, it doesn't really matter....plus it's basically indestructible
