me again, i have it almost down, minus the solo. you're really great at teaching brother. only ask, maybe showing what the parts sound like full speed? but i assume that puts the video up for audio claims? i dont know how that stuff works lol
In more recent vids I've been playing sections in full before teaching them and will continue to do so. I know this helps you guys get a feel for how the songs go...I would definitely encourage you to listen to the actual song so you can cross reference it while you're learning. Keep rockin' man🤘
I've had a few people recommend this so I will be doing this in the future. I appreciate the feedback from everyone, and thanks for the view VIPersaud! Keep rockin'🤘
Ik doing the more popular songs is probably better for the algorithm but it'd be cool if you did some lesser-known songs. Just recently had to learn a song from covers and several tabs saying different things for big takeover by bad brains. Maybe some turnover/balance and composure? Bands like that. Think it fits in with what type of songs you're going for. Edit: also I'm surprised this is the only good tutorial on yt for this song. It's not hard to learn from tab but regardless. Edit again lmao but a good thing to do would be play the section of the song you're about to teach at full speed with or without a backing track. Helps me know what I'm shooting for without having to go back to playing the song and finding the section. Also it's just cool seeing people play it. and maybe some tips on getting a similar tone as well? Not too familiar with all that stuff. just have a fender mustang since it had so many presets and I can't really find a tone for this song I like. Especially the solo with those bends.
Appreciate the feedback Bignaaasty... I have a long list of songs I'd like to get to, some more popular than others, and getting a variety of bands/songs out there is definitely a priority. Stay tuned and keep rockin'🤘
Hey Kyle, when you play octaves mute the string between the notes, and don't play any of the other strings. So if you've got an octave on 12th fret d string and 15th fret b string, you'll mute the g string between them, and then be sure to either mute the high e, A, and low e strings or don't hit them while you strum.🤘
Hey nika, I use guitar amp software in these lessons. Check out BiasFX2 and Amplitube4 or Amplitube5. I use the software to match the sound to the records the best I can. Keep rockin'🤘

For the intro when we're doing the octave progressions, for example the 12th on G and 15th on B, what all are we supposed to be muting?
Hey Kyle, when you play octaves mute the string between the notes, and don't play any of the other strings.
