it would mean the world to me if Ray Toro could get his own episode
If that ever happens I'd have that on repeat. Frank and ray are my inspiration when it comes to why I picked up guitar.
@@Mavi_666 same
sorry, I think ray toro has transcended into guitar player dimension, and will not be returning. until then keep screaming “RAY TORO COME HOME!” and maybe he’ll notice us
YES that would make my year
This 100%. I'm such a huge fan of Ray. What he brings to My Chem could not be understated.
I love that he’s using a Squier and an Epiphone. It’s cool to see someone who cares more about the tone and feel than the name on the headstock.
Agreed, I’m getting shit from my mates for playing my DiMarzio swapped PGMM31 ($200 Ibanez) and we all have fancy $2000+ MIJ Ibanezs but its just got such a nice sound and plays suprisingly well and easy. Idk mini guitars kickass
Any les Paul with gibsonnpickups r the best tone imo they just sound so fat and good
Yup, top end epiphone (specially japanese models) sound better than a USA Gibson, even if the gibson price is around 2x than the top end epiphone
I remember back in the day my chem and Hawthorne Heights would play epiphone les Paul’s. It was awesome to be like I can afford that and famous musicians play the same thing.
Yeah but he has TWO klons. That’s a flex on a flex
My man has two Klons, he is FLEXING
That's what Black Parade money gets you
He got THREE klons!! dayymm
There's gonna be some friction with tyler larson soon
He probably bought them when they were a grand
"Gee Frankie, how come your mom lets you have TWO Klons!?"
Also the madlad has an original Blues Breaker to boot xD
alternate title: "Frank Iero shows off his rig while accidentally hinting towards new MCR work".
Frank is such a chill dude. Ran into him in ‘07 project revolution Detroit, walking though the parking lot. Chatted with him for about 15mins and got his signature. So down to earth.
thats amazing! i love him but i'd think that he wouldnt spend 15 minutes talking to a random person, but things like these makes me think that he's such a nice and chill dude and not cocky at all
You are so lucky! I'd kill to meet him.
Wonderful fan moment
I got so shocked to see Frank say he played 13s in MCR, goddamn the tiny man got strong hands lol
And carpel tunnel
I play 10's and im trying to switch to 11's to play in lower tunings and its impossible. How does anyone play 13's
@@marshallbrooks2296 try 10-52s!
Ain't problem to him because he doesn't do bend stuf
@@THRILL606 I’m loving the Paradigm 10-52s by Ernie Ball right now!
when that les paul fell into his lap, man... that just felt right
29:00 Frank: Impossible to stay in E and not play Helena.
I wish MCR gets inducted in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
That's not gonna happen for a long time
when bullets hits 25 years old they'll be eligible i think
@@loganrandall780 hey that’s only 6 years away
@@coreyryan97 dont say that I feel old now
If any band from that decade deserves it.. It’s them
Didn't know much about MyChem or Frank Iero. Now intrigued. Thanks Chris.
Frank playing that Les Paul is so nostalgic omg
He just seems like the most fun guy to hang out with.
Because hes so short?
Wtf@@standinsilence
@@VulgarInitials
He's like the Danny DeVito of emo.
Have you seen the film Twins (1988)?
Why did I know when that Les Paul came out that he’d play something from MCR😂
Haha me too. Something at the back of my mind knew that was coming.
I’m 16 now and I’m getting so into guitar because of listening to my chem, but frank and ray are the main inspirations. Also other rock bands I have listened to since I was small, but I’m just now starting to listen to every part of the music
Yess me too!! I hope u have an amazing time learning guitar :]
YES SAME AAAA
They're the reason I started playing guitar too. I'm about 5-6 years deep now and it's become an obsession. Stick to it!
I would recommend some of my inspirations but you can hear them all at once in my music. Check some of my guitar works at george chronas - premier which is available on my bandcamp... you are probably around 19 and more advanced now so I would recommend also my most recent release George Chronas Fusique and the rational sequence of events- rapid change of a scenery
Anyone else get a glimmer of hope when he said My Chem in present tense at 42:49?
Hope turned into reality.
"I still love the pickle" - Frank Iero 2021
47:43 "Yeah, I did two Thursday Livestreams on this and then a couple of MC-recording stuff". Look how quick Frank hides his mouth with his hand. 👀
Damn I've only watched this video like twenty times now and I never caught that xD
wtf lmaoo absolutely love the new track i hope we get an ep or allbum soon
"m- recording stuff"
SO, UH-
IN WHICH MINUTE DID HW SAY IT

Legendary. Get Ray on here!
Hearing him play makes me so happy, like with how much he puts into it and how he thinks about it all. I'm still learning guitar and I'm a *long* way from getting anything coherent and concrete I guess but this motivated me so much. He's such an inspiration and influence💛
Dude is down to earth. Love hearing him chat about gear. Get Ray Toro on here!
Thanks for keeping the Rig Rundowns coming in these times. I'm not a MCR fan but still enjoyed the rig rundown very much.
please do same with Ray Toro!!
Oh my goodness yes that would be amazing!!!
@@wil94976 IKR!
man i love me some frank talking about guitars and just seeing him play, it's awesome
i was just listening to the resurrectionist before this video :')))
You doing okay?
@@radmads1015 nopeee not at all haha
Frank seems like an all around good dude, and also seems excited to talk gear and whatnot...makes for an interesting watch for sure.
One of the coolest dudes around. Love him
Yesterday I was trying to play resurrectionist for the first time and now I feel like I NEED to learn how to play it. Nevermind if I have a huge test tomorrow it's showtime
Holy shit, did he buy that baritone from The Rock Shop in WEM? I used to go in and play that exact guitar. Was sad when it wasn't there anymore and I always wondered where it found its home. Crazy.
47:42 You did some _WHAT?_ *What did you almost say, Frank?*
This made my day. What am awesome, relaxed and passionate chat about gear! Awesome.
I love listening to him play
This was a great rig rundown! Nice to see frank pick up that custom!
frank is genuinely my biggest inspo for helping my find my guitar passion five years ago!! i couldn’t be more grateful to him for sparking ly biggest love :)
Not going to lie, not a fan of the group. But this was a GREAT Rig Rundown because dude is so into the gear. I appreciate the riffs he threw down, and the stories about how things were acquired.
Thank you.
Rock on!
I was literally about to comment the same sentiment. Haha. This was super entertaining, despite not knowing this guy, really.
@@SrDeMaFp I would like to think I would have a great time bullshitting with Mr Frank. His laugh is infectious.
@@KevinBrighton absolutely, definitely check out some of the old mychem stuff, lots of fun riffs in those songs
Love these rig rundown vids!! Awesome.
lo amooooooo gracias por la entrevista 🙏
Came for the interest in the Rig. SOLD on the DD lawn sign. If ya know, ya know.
Haha I wish I DID know... 'kin thing intrigues me greatly!
Frank seems like a chill genuine dude. I appreciate that.
I got a guitar at 15 and never learn to play it and honestly this is so cool and interesting I’m kinda hating my teen self for never really getting on it
It’s not too late! Start playing now!
It’s true! Start playing now! You can do it man
@@matthewn8100 shes a girl tho
Still can learn!
The amount you put into it is the amount you'll get out of it. Learn your chords and scales. I've been playing 25 years and I still practice my scales and modes every single day.
i really needed this tonight
Ceb? Hiii
Sooo glad theres new rundowns
Damn, he comes up with some dope pop punk riffs
Me devolvió a la vida esto, totalmente una bomba no esperaba menos de ti Frank
Coming back to watch this after past lives was released and hearing that riff from blender near the end was like fucking whiplash. Makes me wonder if any of the other unidentifiable guitar parts he's played in interviews like this will ever make it into anything
LETS GO i was supposed to see them live too :( finally a newer rignrundown
such a cool dude. great interview
I belive in blonde Frank supremacy✨
MCR
Frank is so nice. This is going to be amazing!
I've wanted a Frank Iero R.R. for soooooo long!!! Please do Ray next!!!
Perfect time for a full scale MCR gig rundown as they are touring. Get on it pleaseee. It's long overdue
What a cool dude! Seems real down to earth but knows his stuff.
Hell yeah repping that Ibanez chorus flange! unironically my favorite chorus sound ever, its just perfect that delay is cool too.
Gary Holt and a friend got me into My Chemical Romance! 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Frank Iero is like a cross between Peter Maximoff & Zacky Vengeance.
Next: Ray Toro plsssssss
I still have my Toro shirt
He left epiphone,I suspect he will have a deal with fender
there's definitely been a lot of JM love with him recently
How lucky are we see this guy play riffs? Frank is badass no matter what. I recommend all things Iero.. :)
Resurrections in c# is one of my favorite songs of all time soundtrack to the last few months of high school for me seriously great
Frank is such an inspiration. I got inspired to learn guitar because of him and ray.
i love him so much
Love this content! Awesome! :)
Glad you enjoy it!
You've got such interesting questions for him and it's good because he is such an interesting man
FRANK IEROOOOOOOO 😭♥️
That vintage modified baritone guitar is awesome
This is like my 10th time rewatching this, its funny how he's playing some of the dunes riffs before the project was even announced.
I love him so much man
I can't play guitar but these frank videos are making me wanna learn so bad
DO IT!!
That Klon has been staring me down the whole video
"a couple mc-recording stuff"
OMFG HE LOOKS SO LIKE "what the fuck did i say" AFTER SAYING THAT IM------
Master of Octave..
HIM!!!!!! THE MAN!!!
See?
Fun AND interesting!
Anyone with spare love for Gary Holt's guitar violence is all good by me... Adore his sig. axe
Finally got to see MCR again (after twelve long years) this past September. Frank pulled out a white Gibson LP Custom (I presume the same one in this video) and it made my little emo guitarist heart big happy
Te amo Frank 🛐
Blonde frank my beloved
Love me that tattoo flash behind you dude. Would love that for my next piece.
Go for it!
I love Frank 😰
Solid amp collection.
See a lot of players that seem to put thought into everything but the amps they use, - which is funny, - since this is as important to the base sound and feel as the pickups in the guitar.
Don't have much good to say about the band, but it's still interesting to see how different guitarists do their thing.
Man Frank just seems like such an awesome dude
That Every Time I Die T-Shirt!
He looks like he's having fun :)
i LOVE baritone jazzmaster T^T
я люблю фрэнка айеро больше жизни
FINALLY
I wouldn'tve given a Dan Armstrong (even a Reissue) away for a Gary Holt signature model... Gary really got the better end of that "deal" IMO lol
Please do Ray Toro!
I love you Frank as a person. Lol I'm thinking back to one of your other interviews, and you had flies around you, and you mentioned that you hate bugs.... LOL ..I have to say you get bit by a lot lmao 😂
Please do a Ray Toro rig rundown!
the Klon hype is real! theres a GREAT imitation of it for about $40 you can get on Amazon. As far as in a live setting the difference is almost unnoticeable.
Frank is amazing. Next: Ray Toro
I have a Jazzmaster partscaster just like that but with a maple fretboard.
What a cool guy
Dude...This guy has at least three Klons on the floor...
I really dig the antigua finish.
This squier jazzmaster baritone is just a Killer Instrument. It's a shame that Fender / Squier does Not manufacture/sales it anymore. Especially since Bands like Loathe have such a deep impact in the scene with those Kind of guitars
Imagine if Ray Toro did one too!!
Swollen Pickle Posse. We role deep, and silent. Most people I hear online talk shit about it. But it is capable of so many sounds, and they're all REALLY good. You have to consider it a 7 knob pedal to really get what you want. I think people buy it, plug it in, and jam, and maybe they don't get exactly what they want. But it is a complex, interactive pedal where all knobs effect all other knobs. So spend some time with it, and tweak it, open it up, and get at those other two knobs. And don't believe everything you hear, even from George Tripp, as depending on your version, the knobs may work in reverse fashion. If your eyes are rolling, move on. But if you're into the deep ones, and taking deep dives, having a relationship, check out that Swollen Pickle. Honestly, I think its name is too much, and has doomed it. But it really is amazing sounding, and SO versatile. (To the point I want to own like 4 of them, so I can access all the different sounds on stage.)
I bought one a while back specifically because of Frank, I really need to sit down with it and figure it out a little better xD I can't really tell if I like it better as a fuzz pedal or a really hot distortion
You can tell this is a really cool guy
