I think the cover needs to be loosened and moved closer to the battery so the whole cover is enclosed within the perimeter of the battery tray. Glad to see you can get the right battery size in Autozone now. When I got an AMG battery for my Superglide years ago it was narrower in depth so I cut a piece of plexiglass to use as a shim so it fit tight in the battery cover. That's a beautiful Low Rider.
I did end up moving the cover a little closer to the battery after the fact. Funny you said that with the plexiglass, I remember cutting up a old truck inner tubes to use the rubber to help keep the battery tight in the tray. Thanks so much for watching & such kind words!!!
