Ilayaraja deserves all the awards available in this world. Oscar award is just a ordinary one. Can AR Anirudh Harris or even Yuvan think of a composition like this. They are all far behind the Genius Ilayaraja. That's my views.

Every time it's a rewarding experience watching your episodes. Honestly, I would be the worlds last person, not knowing anything about music, I still have always loved Raj's Sir's music so incomparably.
The movies which I saw in 80's, I don't recall the names or the stories, but very surprisingly I remember all of Raj's sirs songs. I am guessing that's the power of good music

My first meeting with this friend was in Coimbatore. We were standing outside our mutual friend's place after dinner, and we had just gotten introduced. We started talking about Raaja sir's music at about 900 pm. The spell of our conversation ended when the person delivering the milk showed up at 5 AM! Listening to you not only brings back those memories, but it is opening up new vistas in the work of Raaja sir. Thank you so much!

I am not sure how many would believe if i said many a times, when i heard and hear this song, i felt and dissolved myself in the nuances that a learned person like you explained. But all i could do is feel this is something good and my mottai did it to kick my back to appreciate what i had been losing for years. Thanks a lot for educating me on the nuances facts and techniques of this song. I am an ignorant, but because of God's grace i like my mottai's song. For a person who has been a well's frog you just took me to the shores of indian ocean. At least my daughter had the knowledge to say "its so much of rain, when at 2 years she first ever saw sea near ashtalaxmi temple in besant nagar. But i am still dumb struck to thinknof a word whenever you take me to infront of large rivers, seas and oceans of mottai.
