And considering this is a cost that continually compounds year after year, it hits poorer households much harder, where they could have a few thousand more dollars per year if they did not have to maintain a car.
I really dig Vaush's really calm style. Making your opponent feel comfortable won't make them fear for their self-respect as much, so they'll end up being more genuine and honest.

@@sadboipotato3382 Probably the best way to do it is to use money to enhance the community (schools, afterschool programs, community centers, mental health services, etc) and put in checks so that the money isn't being put somewhere else. You'd also need to bring good jobs to those areas, a livable minimum wage, and free health care. I wouldn't be against the idea of individual payments but like you said, you can't determine what that'll be spent on. I just don't think it would work by itself.

Thankfully it’s former officer.
I wouldn't say he had it coming but he definitely made decisions to out himself there. Commit crimes and you'll interact with police. Resist arrest and the police will get physical with you. Take enough drugs to kill 3 people and you'll probably overdose and die. Which is exactly what happened. I will say Chauvin should have rendered aid much more quickly but nothing he did was outside of police procedures.
@@shanewilson2270 But these decision didn't deserve him to be killed like that. You NEVER deserve to be killed by the police no mater how much you resist arrest or how much drugs you did take.
@@worraw3337 Well said! It's true that he was a criminal and that his life was not one to admire, but that doesn't work as a justification for a police officer killing him!

"they sell drugs so they can make a lot of money, not so they can feed their families" gee, it's almost like economic insecurity incentivizes "get rich quick" approaches even though they might be detrimental to the individual.

Or they can get a normal job with out hurting they’re own community or maybe the culture of music and celebrities that they look up to show boating all the money they have is due to selling drugs and that life style looks very attractive even if you have a chance to end up in jail.

As a black person, its always so aggravating to hear eveey single black republican deny data and dig deep into the reasons for why black people have their issues. They always go straight to anecdotal evidence and how they were able to make it out etc etc.

Their "making it out" is always pertiant to grifting and appealing to the racist ideas held by conservatives so they can say, "look, one of the good ones" so they dont have to think critically about their own biases. They always place blame on black people with rhetoric that is socially unacceptable for anyone with white skin to do. Basically if every black person would just start a republican podcast, racism would be solved
