Great advice for someone looking into starting because commitment is key to any type of workout. So many people expect instant results without doing all that it takes. Like you, I believe saving money and space is important. It doesn't make sense to spend tons of money (whether a Speediance, or anything else), and then not utilize the equipment. People often have good intentions, but "life" and excuses get in the way and are powerful pulls.
Advising to try committing only several minutes a couple of days a week is extremely good advice too. I think if they get in a groove, they may end up working out even longer and more days a week. I actually started out with a simple body weight daily 7 minute program I did in my work office. Then I went to resistance bands (I'm not a huge fan of those though). Then free weights by purchasing a few weights at a time until I had full blown gym and I was working out 45 to over 60 minutes 5 days a week. Now I use a Total Gym due to moving and much less space, but I surely would love a Speediance, but $$$$$ :(

Did you ever try a sliding bench trainer like total gym? It's a great compliment to the adjustable dumbbells and resistance band set up you use.
They sell them used as well as refurbished for far less than the price on their site. They are efficient, effective and fun to use.

Total Gyms are easily the most underrated forms of exercise and equipment. I'm into my second year using Total Gym and Core Home Fitness adjustable dumbbells, and I'm satisfied with the results...even though I'm close to buying the Speediance Gym Monster, too.

Yeah, Total Gym is actually pretty good, but it's kind of weird until you get used to it. I think people underate it too. The issue is that it seems easy (and again, weird) AT FIRST. After several months of use, I now know it can kick your but with both endurance, hypertrophy, and strength. It's a matter of consistency.
I had a full blown gym until I moved into a house without space, so I picked up a TG to replace it, and use my PowerBlocks, and weighted vest. The combo works very well for a full body workout.

I have not tried one yet, and my issue is it may take up too much space. I do follow a channel that is all about them, band it looks pretty cool. I'll keep an eye on it, but based on what I am looking for I probably wont' but we will see :)

Do you always get sore from resistance bands besides pushups? Or do you get used to it?

I don't really get sore anymore. I have to do an exercise I haven't done in a while to feel it. For example, I just started doing some split squats, and those are killer. However after 3 weeks or so, I'm fine.
