Removing Jet ski Traction Mats Fast and Easy!

This makes a hell of a mess but way easier than using a heat gun and scraper! Can probably do the whole ski in about 3-4 hours.

That's the worst way to do this. You'll for sure take the gel coat or clear off the ski once it gets past the mat.

Neither of those things happened. Was still perfectly smooth and shiny after no issues with the gel coat , don’t have to use a lot of pressure or spend too much time in a single spot. I learned this from someone who has owned a jet ski repair/modification business his whole life and that’s how he did it.

Adhesive remover followed by goo gone available from any big box store is faster and won’t destroy the gel coat like a wire wheel would. I would not recommend this video’s suggestion of wire wheel.
