A good rocking song. Ok, the intro is similar to If You Start Me Up by the Rolling Stones, but so what. A lot of songs sound similar to others. Glad you enjoyed it, Steve.
100% agree, lots of songs have similarities but find ways to ix it up and change it to suit an individual bands musical stylings. Anything with energy and a good guitar will always be something I enjoy!
@@MusicForTheSoulReactions I like a lot of Oasis songs, even if some sound a little Beatles-ish. Cigarettes And Alcohol has a riff just like Get It On by T-Rex. Also, David Bowie's The Jean Genie has the same riff as Blockbuster by The Sweet. All good songs.
The vocalist, Ian Astbury, is great. Not "coincidence", he was the choice for a "The Doors revival", a band named The Doors of the 21st Century, almost the original The Doors lineup (except John Densmore, and ... well... Morrison was already...) . Then, The Cult's vocalist would "impersonate" Morrison. The Doors of the 21st Century was in a tour during 2000s, which included Brazil. Some friends of mine watched the concert, and all people said that the concert was stunning. I can imagine about, Ian Astbury, a great singer with Ray Manzarek, stunning keyboard player, and Robby Krieger, stunning guitarman.
The Cult was a refreshing post Punk band, when we all thought that the original LZ style was dead. Even though I was aging by this time, this brought me alive in my 30s! To me they were influenced by LZ big time.
@@MusicForTheSoulReactions Steve remember to play Horizons the Steve Hackett guitar solo track the one before Suppers Ready like I said to you previously just before moving into the epic track ! You might just need the pre tonic lol Neal 👍
Hey Steve, you often say you love bass. Try some bass instrumentals. The most iconic (but not as obvious simple as here, which isn't a negative judgement!) IMHO being Schooldays from Stanley Clarke. You will be amazed, I just love this tune : power, complexity, virtuosity, groove: it has everything a bass player wants.
I love this song. I never thought of "Start Me Up" by the Stone, but who ever commented that is on to something. However, Keef don't do guitar solos like that...US Roadie 1 signing off...
This was a very AC/DC kinda sounding album, then when Sonic Temple came out it had elements if this, Electric plus the previous album, Love. I'm assuming your energy is improved?
@@Someonelser1 ahh that may be why I liked it, I do have a soft spot of AC/DC. Certainly somewhat more energised after that and the next reaction I did which I'll be uploading later
@Someonelser1 Sonic Temple was a beast of an album. Automatic Blues for the win! Seeing these guys on the 23rd of this month. 🙂 Last saw when re-touring playing Electric in its entirety.
@@helenespaulding7562 I like some, but by no means all. But to each their own! What I really meant is that to me She Sells Sanctuary is one of the best songs ever. Elevated. Their other stuff pales
Yes my fav is she sells sanctuary never seems to age
A great track but enjoyed todays offering
Cheers
Suoer tune Steve.. ''Rain'' must be next from the Cult.. you will love it..
Irish Roadie Colm.. 🤘😎🤘
@@coheed1000 duly noted Roadie 😉

Yeah there was some good energy to enjoy from this music. Their other song I heard had me bouncing in my seat!!!
Hi Steve when are you going to react to Supper's Ready- Genesis 23min epic

@@Rowenband well I'm certainly sold based on your description! Consider it added to the list

She Sells Sanctuary cuts through generations and tastes - a classic for all. Not so keen on this one. Sounds like the Stones.
@@mattleppard1970 yeah out of the 2, I'd certainly say she sells sanctuary is the stronger.
