In the app it says 0 disables the setting. But at the same time it says 1 leaves the most noise. So I'm not sure if it's 1 or 0. Do some tests and try it!
@@sakthimurukanpalanisami8308 Correct !MNR01=1 is the most noise, the least noise reduction. All defaults are 0, so NR01=0 or BITR=0 is the default for those features, non-zero values enable the feature.
Thanks for the good video. When I use the QR Control app and change DAMP , EXPX and other settings and choose it to be permanent. Then they change back to "0" afterwards. Why? Or what am I doing wrong?
Hi! On reddit you said that the best signal to noise ratio for NR01=50. Why are you now saying that you need to turn off noise reduction? What changed?
You've mixed things up a bit. Signal to noise ratio (SNR) is something else that relates to how much noise there is compared to the input. In gopros case, the signal always creates a certain amount of noise in relation to the signal. Some of that noise gets reduced with in camera noise reduction. Setting the NR01=50 will allow 50% of that noise reduction to be applied, even though the original amount of noise affects the image before the noise reduction is applied. I said to set it to NR01=50 if you want to do minimal processing like me. This allows me to not have to use noise reduction in post, because I find the amount of noise to be acceptable at NR01=50. If you want the purest quality you can choose NR01=1, but then you might have to use noise reduction in post.
Good video. Every GoPro user should get to grips with Labs. Makes a massive difference to the footage quality!
Great Video Markus, and thank you so much for helping me out with my setup of the camera (first time) 🙌🏻
Thanks
How can I check my changes in GoPro Labs? The settings are visible for a moment after turning on the camera, but how do I check them later?
You check them when you turn on the camera.
Hi Markus, The noise reduction setting should be set to NR01=1 right ? and not NR01= 0 3:49

I did run some tests and found that NR01=1 setting is the one to turn off noise reduction and not NR01=0. Great video by the way. Cheers

greetings! I'm using gopro hero 11, by any chance do you have any tips on how or what settings i should get for log profile? thank you
im using it for underwater videos
Hi, when I buy a new GoPro 12 Black, do I have to install some newer firmware and then install GoPro Labs or is only Gopro Labs enough? Thank you
Just installing the most recent gopro labs firmware is enough
Thanks for the video, love the norwenglish. I will remember to smear myself with a little patience 😂
Very nice video!!! tnk u. I want to record metro , to go on all the stations, but i don t know what settings to make ....:( I have GoPro Hero 11

Sounds like user error, but could be incompatible settings with certain gopro models. Or a wrong firmware version.
Hello! Who has experienced that they can't modify the linear lens for 4k or 5.3k video on their Hero 12 in Labs?
Mine says Update failed. What can be the reason?
Update. I deleted the folder from SD card and copied it again. It installed successfully this time.
Any chance you could make a video on how to set up the GP11 to use the GP-LOG LUT from the GoPro and how to get the best results with it in CapCut?
No, sorry.

@@MarkusFinholt I understand! Thanks for the detailed explanation!👍
great vid, thanks
no wonder my old labs wasn't working it needed updating
