Honestly I won't lie - I watched your video last week and it was the section where you talked about Nicholas Chavez's acting and the possibility of the nun and priest corrupting the town due to indulging in lust that REALLY sold me and I immediately went to watch, totally convinced. And yes, I was disappointed because I was so excited for that concept. However there were so many other things you spoke about that ended up being true - like the unpacking of fatphobia, domestic abuse, infidelity, binge drinking that kept me watching, as well as the award winning acting from the cast. I am actually really really grateful for your recommendation, the show is a great show.
hahahaha literally my own journey with this show. I am so confused and barely hanging on. I only started watching because of Nicholas Chavez and I have no regrets regarding that (ahem) but what in the name of Jesus is that writing and storyline honestly
I was invested until the post comatose episodes. I will say they did a good job of capturing what it feels like to wake up from a bad dream in such a way that we experience the same confusion as the main character. Having an audience invest in these characters and conflicts for 7 LONG episodes only to reveal none of it was real was a very risky move creatively and I appreciate it. But the new reality fell flat, for me. The storyline and character relationships in her dream were more tangible and interesting.
I had the exact same thoughts of you on the show, it was so obvious to me the priest was the killer so i was not all that invested in the mystery at the start but i thought the concept was intriguing. Episode 5 and 6 were horrible it just didnt make sense so i was not excited for 7 at all, but the revelation that it was a "dream" may be cheap writing but i really liked it cause it made all the chaos of the show make sense and the way it was written was really good. so now im invested in whats gonna happen next. But then again this is a ryan murphy show so i wont be surprised if they were writing up towards this twist and the rest of the 3 episodes fall flat in comparison as they have little planned for it.i saw the little teaser for the second half of the series and wasnt impressed at all.
This reset was much needed and surprised me how much I am reinvested in the show after. And it did take to the end of this episode for me to get fully reinvested, actually it took up until a certain men's group meeting for me to start really getting invested againand now I'm actually very much can't wait to complete
The first season of this show really suffered from the execution. I was really engaged at first, but all of the post-coma storylines seemed to go nowhere or fell flat, to me. If there is a S2 hopefully the writing improves.
Wait till you see ep8 and 9! 😮 Also the 10th and final episode this season ends on a cliffhanger. Ryan Murphy officially confirmed it as there is a second season on the way.
The coma was definitely a risk, I'm surprised they went for it especially on a non-streaming show, and I was looking forward to your thoughts on it. Sadly, my dad dropped the show before the twist happened, I guess those previous eps were really bad because he likes everything lol. Please do a full video review if you have the time, it's always interesting hearing your opinion.
i started watching this after your first vid but when travis kelce became a regular i could not keep watching, his face just takes me out of it. i was loving it up till then, too. does he stop showing up? pls omg tell me he does... or at least that his character takes a hard turn bc ugh i was eating it up till ep 4.
The first episodes were amazing. The last was amazing. The middle needed some grounding or a different perspective. Beautiful show though.. I’m sure its better on the second watch,
Ryan Murphy has officially lost it 😂😂 anyways, love your take on these shows! 🥹✨ I recently saw The Chippendales mini series on Disney+, couldn’t believe a story about male stripping would turn out to be so intense and scary 🥲 i also haven’t seen people talk alot about it (maybe if it was on netflix it would have blown up more) I thought it was really well made + the actors *chef’s kiss*!

I was really invested in this show, but after the season finale, I have no interest in watching the second season.

Bro literally put me on the show with the last video 😂
Will there be a 3rd video?

just watched episode 8, I'd love to see your total thoughts.
also, major rec if you haven't seen it: Prime's The Devil's Hour. S2 just released.
This show sucks. End of. No way I’m coming back if they get a second season.
It was giving off AHS vibes with just a different name….

marshall, its not good. stop breaking your brain.
You didn’t put spoilers in the title, how irresponsible.
