    The heat pad on the speaker is excellent attention to detail. I feel like the speakers technical limits get overlooked. My Note 20 Ultra heats up where the speaker is when playing music back at full volume. They are after all, a form of element, and they are using electricity not unlike other components.

    I hope i will never have to do this but thank you for making such an in depth and easy to follow teardown. I much prefer trying to repair things myself to save money.
    Edit: the number of comments from people who accidentally put the sim tool in the mic hole lol. I did that on my first phone and was so scared. Now I take the time to read the things they include as it usually shows where the sim tray is.

      It is difficult to buy it for that price, maybe the Xiaomi 12x has that price and is probably higher, I would buy the pro for $ 799, the normal for $ 699 and the 12x for $ 499, but they will surely be Much more expensive, knowing Xiaomi

    • @unknownkw
      @unknownkw Рік тому

      The battery is very cheap in china it is currently listed at 62RMB (less than $10USD) for the 12 pro. If you can replace the battery yourself, battery damage would not be a big concern at all. But yes if you quick charge it on routine battery would likely be heavily damaged after a year and a half.

      You're welcome. The 12 pro was a bit more complex to take apart and took a bit more time than the 12. I am working on a new repairability score chart and will hopefully implement it soon to explain the scoring and how the score was reached.

    as it doesn't have ip rating so does that means its not water resistant? or is it just its water resistant but Xiaomi skipped ip rating due to cost cutting?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 роки тому +3

      Probably cost cutting, but it does have some rubber gaskets around speaker openings and mic openings to help keep water or debris out. To what extend the water resistance is though, can't be certain. Splash proof for sure.

    • @oswith971
      @oswith971 Рік тому

      It's such a common mistake that manufacturers have taken it into account. Usually the mic and seals etc. are actually not in the back of the hole but on the side of the hole so it's about the same as pushing the tool into the side of the case

      Hi, it depends on what you need from the device. Oneplus 8T is a bit better Camera wise and has a bit more RAM but the Poco F3 has a newer version LPDDR5 ram compared to LPDDR4 in Oneplus. Poco F3 has a slightly better processor. Oneplus 8T has a faster charging capability as well. So if you want a better processor and newer RAM, your better off with the Poco F3. But if you want more RAM and a bit better camera hardware as well as faster charging, then you should choose the OnePlus 8t. :)

      probably the adhesive around the front of the screen or the back cover on the phone are not adhered well and lets moisture in. You would need to check which the issue is from and replace the adhesive strip if you can find a precut adhesive made for the phone.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  Рік тому +2

      The phone doesn't have an official IP rating, but does have rubber gaskets around the sim try, speaker openings and charger port. So it should have some sort of water resistance but nothing is guaranteed since it hasn't been put through the required testing to obtain the IP rating by the manufacturer.

    Hey i need some advice from experts. My 12 pro only charges with 1W. Really slow. I changed the charger with cable, i replaced the accu, i replaced the charging port with Main flex without success. THX also for the Video. I checked the mainboard. All looks Fine. I dont know what else i can do. If the accu is empty with 0% i need to open the Smartphone, remove the accu, manually charge it and charge to min. 5%. Then i can charge the phone normally. Otherwise the charging process wont start. There is no more guarantee, the xiaomi store is too far away. Some advice?

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  9 місяців тому

      Hmm reminds me of a similar problem that the iPhone 5c's had back in the day. I don't remember what the actual cause was, but I know replacing charger port, and battery was not the solution on that phone. But you can try replacing the battery just to rule out the battery being an issue. If that doesn't help, it might be the charging ic or controller on the main board which might have gone bad. Not too sure since I'm not an expert in electrical engineering.

      lol ya well the point is to pause if your interested in a certain area. When I let the video sit and run with silence, it will come out weird and people skip through it. Also makes the file larger and uploads take longer for no reason. Too much pause people don't like also :).

      @Ahmed-Aref 2 роки тому +2

      @@PBKreviews I think most people watch this type of videos for entertaniment, not to fix thire devices, so imo it will be much nicer not to skip this part and instead of silence you can do a voice over with more explanation and comparison with other phones you disassembled on your channel.

    • @PBKreviews
      @PBKreviews  2 роки тому +2

      @@Ahmed-Aref ya true, however the way I do these videos, I make them more for educational purposes and to help people fix their phones so don't want to make it too much of an entertainment video. But i will try and add more info and see what i can do in future videos. Once I am able to afford doing other types of videos (which basically kill the option of resale-ability) like durability videos or other videos, I would be able to get more creative and make those more of an entertainment genre of videos since those can be more fun to watch and not something people would necessarily be watching to do themselves to their phones lol. 😀
