"Do blind people cry?"
No. Being blind actually turns you into an apathetic robot, it's to make up for the blindness.
Exactly 😳
I think they meant blind people who don't have an actual eye/a glass eyeball.
The answer to that depends but it is typically no, tears can't form.
I think the question was more about if their eyes don't work, do tear glands work too ? it did not ask if they get sad or not, it only asked if that feeling is expressed the same way seeing people do it , aka crying, tears, wailing, screaming etc...
I think they misunderstood the question. I think it was asking whether they are still able to produce tears, not if they feel sadness.

Kyle Davis Retinal detachment can happen. If your virtuous detached it can lead to your retina becoming detached as well. You can also go blind from diabetic retinopathy. High blood sugar can lead to eventual blood vessel damage in your eyes which can detach the retina or just simply cause blindness.

Gotta love when a video is made about blindness and isn't made to be accessible to blind viewers... As a blind person watching this, I had no idea what questions they were answering. I'm assuming they were written on the screen but I had to piece it together based on their answers. “I don’t see black I see nothing”
Everyone: Confused and terrified
Actually they do see black because black absorbs all wave lengths which means all light so black isn’t a color scientifically but I guess I’m not everyone.
Edit: I’m just going to add more because it seems that most of you are confused: black is the result when there is no light, intensity, energy, frequency or wavelength and a lot of you are saying that since they can’t see than they see no colors (including black) but technically black is nothing considering everything I just said, but tbh I was getting confused too reading a lot of these replies. So pretty much even if you are blind you will see black as hard as that is too imagine because black is the result of what you already read so I will explain no further and sorry if your still confused. And please don’t type “they can’t see so they can’t SEE black” because if you want to be that specific than it will be too difficult to put into words. Also thanks for reading my reply because it is long to read but it seems like there is always more to say.

Of course unless the tear glands aren't damaged, the person can still cry tears..

hi
It's actually very simple. Take a look at my message. You have some angle of view, right? I mean, you see some "picture". Without moving your eyes, can you notice where are the borders of what you see? Probably more or less you can see them, not some sharp borders, but more or less you know where you don't see anymore. So now, still without moving your eyes, keep following some imaginary dot which moves across the "border", and goes around your head, for example behind your heard or for example to the right (where you can't see anymore). What do you "see" there? Is it black? White? Orange? Probably none of these. That's nothing. And I believe that's what blind people "see". It's just nothing. Not black or anything, just nothing.
EDIT: Oh, just noticed she said it in the video. "Being blindless is
like seeing back of your head". Then I don't understand why people
comment about it, she gave quite nice explanation.

Big Shot Digital Media you can go blind by not sleeping🤪
Okay since everyone is like “nOtHiNg iS sEeINg nOtHiNg” it’s impossible for the human brain to comprehend and describe nothingness, it’s like trying to count to Infinity, we can’t see nothing.
city lights If you wanna see nothing without going blind close one eye, do you see anything?
Yes but you can still see out of one eye. So you can’t fully feel what its like
But you can still see a little bit of what it’s like
Seeing black is vision = #000000, while seeing nothing is vision = null
@@sutirk NERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRDDDDDDD! *lol* I'm so old that I understood that. Do people still code with hex numbers??

"I see nothing".
Maybe she does see something, but her brain comprehends it as blank so technically she's right when she experiences nothingness.
Deep
Take your hand and put it over your left eye ( or just close it ). Open your right eye and look around the room. What do you see out of your left eye? Nothing.
it depends what part of her eye or brain is the faulty part. If it is the brain, for example a tumour, it is likely her eyes can see but her brain cannot process the information. If, for example, the brain is fine but the eye is damaged, then the brain is perfectly capable of processing the information, its just that it is not getting any information. But if like me, it is the Optic Nerve that is damaged, then the wiring between the eye and brain is damaged, which means both the eye and brain are fine, but the connection between the two is not working.
@@sydney8145 no bro, it's just black. What she see is more like if you sleep(unconscious) not like closing your eyes
@@animarblemarblerace9232 That could be it, idk i was just taking a guess based off what she said because many other people have described blindness like that though i know its different for each individual person. idk that was just my guess.

Its like if you still have vision if there is no light you see black which we think is nothing but we see black she doesnt have vision so she sees nothing not even black easy!
@@evenezerabraham6989 isnt black the lack of light though. Also please use punctuation. Their eyes dont take in light, or atleast limit its intake, which means they would be "seeing" black, the absence of light.
@@michalszerszen9638 I don't know, but in theory they could see nothing. When a person is born with no arms, what does this person feel in their arms? People with arms sometimes say they feel nothing in their arms, but their is a sense of numbness, but if you are born without arms there is probably true nothingness.

Beautiful speech.
I’ve heard blind people describe what they “see” is not black. They compare it to closing one eye. You don’t see darkness, you just can’t see through that eye.
Still confusing
@@aureliosimas9302 agree
Holly Adams True but it’s like they both said that isn’t a standard version of blindness… Not all totally blind people will have the exact same experience. I am basically totally blind and for me it’s like a layer of black-and-white kaleidoscopes has been put on the surface of my eye which occasionally allows dots of colour through, I have a bit of light perception but it’s almost like the light is coming from deep within a fog

Wow . Thanks for posting
"Do you still blink?"
That to me sounds like someone that doesn't understand eyes very much. The reason people blink isn't because they can see. It's to reapply the lubricant of your eyes across the eye. Like a windshield wiper sort of. Notice how you blink more when you have a dry eye or if something gets in your eye.

My grandpa was completely blind from age 4. Yet he always remembered what color was, so he dreamed in color. Since he had artificial eyes, he didn’t really “need” to blink, but did it out of habit. However, as he got older, the muscles in his eyelids got very weak from not using them, so he didn’t really open his eyes much. He did everything a “normal” grandpa would do for his grandkids, including playing hide and go seek, babysit my sister and I, and reward us for a good report card. He worked full time to support his family and even taught co-workers how to put camera parts together on an assembly line, including a deaf employee. He never saw himself as handicapped, so we never treated him like he was. To this day, I don’t know anyone who had a better sense of direction. Before cell
phones, whenever we had to go somewhere and we didn’t know how to get there, we’d pick him up so he could tell us how to get there. The man was amazing!
