Wow, what an stunning collection of Beatles UK 45's and EP's. All in their original company record sleeves as well. Someone has clearly looked after these records really well. I wonder how much a collection like this would cost. Amazing.
I love theses unboxing videos, I know just exciting it is having received first press sealed albums, EP’s and singles from the states myself. This stuff is way better than any Christmas or Christmas present.

I had a nearly complete UK EP & 45 collection including the Xmas Flexi discs…I still have most but unfortunately had to sell a few of the rarest ones when times were thin. Namely most of the Flexi discs (save for 63 and 64) and the Yesterday EP. It was quite sad to break up the collection. I am quite happy I still have Beatles For Sale 2 and it’s stunningly near mint. Time to start looking again though!
Ah...but here's the point and WHY I love collectibles - YOU STILL HAD THE PHYSICAL OBJECT to sell.....you didn't have a bunch of bits and bytes which are WORTHLESS. And what was good was the collectibles got you out of a financial bind.
Today's YOUTH do not understand the worth TO OWNING THE PHYSICAL.......
@@dancalmpeaceful3903 oh I agree completely. I started collecting records 25 years ago when ppl couldn’t give them away fast enough. I’ve sold some here and there in times of need and they’re absolutely gotten me out of a jam or two. The value of my collection right now is pretty absurd tbh…never quite expected it get this valuable so quickly…surely it will burst at some point but my proclivity for collecting first and rare pressings means they’ll always have a a decent value I’m sure.
Beyond that though, much as he said, it’s about the ritual and the physical connection to the music. Owning a real piece of history in many cases that I can actually EXPERIENCE. Goes far beyond value to me. All of it together is why I enjoy it so much and will continue to collect until I kick the bucket. My daughter can have em all one day.
@@thefleshexperience Thank heaven for folks like you - you are preserving history...much like myself. I ONLY collect the physical. I don't RENT my music like the foolish youth of today.....and yes, I deal in collectibles and yes, my collection and business has got me out of more jams than I care to admit.
It must be so hard to break up a collection when you treasure it so much. More so for those who bought the originals at the time and were experiencing the Beatles journey: where would it take them. Such exciting times.
That really is amazing and impressive that they're all together in such good shape.

The Christmas 45 are so cool i have l.p. of all the Christmas recordings I got in 1978 from a used record store in las vegas

8:47 it's very likely that my grandmother was present at that record's recording, as she worked at the royal festival hall and has told me she recalls hearing neil sing it there. also, i've got a green odeon pressing of the help/i'm down 45 and i heard that was rare, is it?
Thanks for your comment. Unfortunately the green Odeon pressing of 'Help!' is only worth around €15.

I recall they reissued a box set of all the Beatles EP's in the late 70's with the addition of the stereo versions of The Inner Light, Sh'es a Woman, Baby your a Rich Man & This Boy

Imagine how many of these classic 45's have just been thrown away over the years either by their owner's not caring anymore or their children disregarding them as rubbish after their parents have died. This will happen to us all I guess. What means a lot to you don't mean shit to someone else.
It’s not like you can take it with you.. I’d hate to be the one to tell you this first but after it’s lights out, no matter what you believe, your (insert collectible here) isn’t forever.. if you’re lucky the things you had and cared about will be easy to sell for the vultures.

Thank you. I enjoyed the vicarious thrill of unboxing these treasures. I doubt I will ever be able to afford such a collection, but this was almost as good. I have an unrelated question, though. One of my friends had a copy of the Let It Be album that was in horrendous shape, however the record label featured a red apple. I've never seen that before. Was it rare? I thought the Apple label was always a green granny smith.
Glad you enjoyed it, Joe. All U.S. 1st pressings of 'Let It Be' had red labels, so it's not that rare.

You wouldn't have to be, it's just Beatles records, millions of copies around the world. There are people buying very cheaply and selling at gold prices. BE CAREFUL

Dude, you’re not going to be able to get that from a single video.. or it would be super long. Each disc has its own matrix number you’d need to know. Use discog instead if you want a global understanding. If you’re looking for a specific disc I’d still say using a database is more convenient, but maybe you’d need help identifying where to find the info? Not sure where you’re at in your journey but discog will set you on the right path generally. There’s a few rarities discussed on this channel as well..

Why does some of those have great cover photos and others have no photos?
All 4-track EPs had picture sleeves in the UK. Apart from 'Strawberry Fields' and 'Let It Be', all other regular 45rpm singles did not.
