    I still have many of my Beatles albums from when I was a youngster. I have 45s and 33s. I recently walked into my local record shop and happened to see a box filled with Beatles albums and 45s. Many from UK and imports. Many American. They were all in pristine condition and the lady who owned them just dropped them off to the store for payment. I wanted every one. I asked if they would hold them for me as being a Disabled American Veteran payday is once a month. They were awesome and I got them all. I have a huge Beatles collection. Sweet! I really scored on that day. Keep up the faith, the albums are out there, getting your hands on them is exciting.

    Had my first experience of viewing a Stereo 'Black and Gold' first pressing of Please Please Me back in around 1986 at a North West Record Fair.....and baulked at the £1,000 asking price!

    It's Christmas again at Parlogram! That black & gold Please Please Me is impressive. Either someone bought it and never played it, anticipating its value (which would be quite a feat since, if I recall correctly, it came out prior to The Beatles taking the US)... or someone has secretly invented time travel. I imagine it's days like these, Andrew, when you smile and say, "I love my job." 😀 Thanks for sharing your Christmas with us!

    Great video. I would love to have many of those. I'm sure the PPM will easily go for over £500 or around 700 dollars US. The mono version beats out the stereo IMO but both have that great sounding energy! The White mono, even with that scratch or pressing defect, won't be cheap either.

    Like the person underneath said you do have the best job EVER. Just to go through lovely lovely records and identify them and sell them on your popular website. But I suspect there is a LOT more work that goes on away from the videos. Am I right? But Andrew have you much experience with the Direct Metal Masters? Would you do a video about the Beatles Direct Metal Masters? Because they do sound different. Think I told you via a comment here that since my girlfriends Father died and she got all his records (minus whatever the scroungers went through and took that was worth anything before she got them, don't ask. You know what happens when people who are straight as a die and worked all their life and earned a lot of money (he was a prominent aerospace engineer) and collected records die.All the extended family come out the woodwork who you ain't seen or spoken to for years, and things were taken before she got them and I DREAD to think what was pilfered as what was left was still good but we know he had so much more and he had been collecting since 1968 and had many mint copies of the White album and abbey road and let it be 1970 box. And what was left was his player copies that were in worse condition, and all his mint unopened copies had gone. Yes that's right mint unopened first press copies of the White album, abbey road and the let it be box. He was one of the rare foresighted people who had the money at the time and bought extra copies of everything to keep mint unopened. And what was left was still first press copies of all that but they were played and the covers were scruffy because like I said they were his player copies. I genuinely dead to think what else was taken before we got them)
    But anyway I've gone on but a record dealer took my rubber soul and Revolver DMM copies that were very very rare (I've never seen them anywhere they actually had the DMM sign on the vinyl label and the Parlophone label I have never seen and can't find. They aren't the general DMM that they did in 1988-1995 that are common out there) because they were kept sperate from what he could take but close by and I wasn't there. My girlfriend dealt with him. And since then I'm collecting DMM and wanted to know how different the sounds are compared to others using your very clever graphs. Thank you

    • @Parlogram
      @Parlogram  3 роки тому

      Sad to hear about that collection, Craig. Thanks for the DMM suggestion, it may happen.
