First off, I was drooling over the pristine copies of the covers for one, then to see the vinyl...and mono’s of these releases...! Someone deserves a MBE for keeping them in such fine shape! I’m just glad a disc doesn’t come out wrong and end up rolling away from you! Brilliant show...”on to the next round...🎶”
Coming out the wrong end and rolling away - yes, that is the record life. 🤣🤣🤪
As I watch this I start to think about whoever originally bought, owned and clearly looked after these LPs for many years with a lot of care: the songs, the era and the vinyl sound experience. You just don't get that with MP3. Thank you for posting this video and helping to emphasize the value of creative objects.
New old stock. They all look EXCELLENT. Lovely collection.
That"s very nice collections I love to have them all!Thanks for showing :}
Wow this video is a revelation!!!!
Seeing these records in as new condition
I imagine a lot of money was spent on this collection
WOW WHAT AN AWESOME FIND.
I'm pretty convinced that the misaligned apple AR's are not very first press copies. The cover is cropped on the front and the very first copies printed are not - they show the full image. The misaligned are slightly later issues but nor reissues obviously.
If you already haven't, would you consider doing a segment on DSD Rolling Stones vinyl....???... Your thoroughness, intelligent insights and generosity in sharing your knowledge is all ways very much appreciated.
Loved Scott Walker!
Terrific pick ups! Great condition! 👍🏻😃🇦🇺
Great find. One of your Scott Albums has something missing. There was an inner sleeve photo of Scott.
Amazing stuff. Great Cliff and The Shadows LPs. The 1st Shadows LP is awesome also Cliff 1st LP amazing condition.it took me a while to get those in that condition im glad i havd them in my collection. Enjoy🤗
Beautiful video! Your channel popped up in my feed page today. I'm really interested to know how to identify Beatles 1st UK releases. I tried contacting fans in some FB groups but didn't get enough info. You seem very very well informed on the matter. Can you please help me?
Remarkable condition.
One of the greatest finds that I've seen in a long time. I was more excited than you! But you were looking closer at the condition. Hope there wasn't any surprises. Sounded like maybe a couple but you were still happy. I would be so excited. I'm getting my german brother in laws collection and I have no real idea what's coming. I'll be sure to video it. Mono pressings tend to be in better condition than stereo, because of all the cool stereo effects the bands use to incorporate in their recordings, more people wanted to play the stereo versions, especially the Beatles. I always wished that quadraphonic, would have gotten some traction, it is such a cool listening experience.
0:19 I am a big fan of your channel, love your content, and the way you present everything is unique and awesome. However, with peace and love, when you open your parcels, you should always cut away from yourself to prevent the blade coming at you and given a chance for the blade to injure you. Not trying to be a dink, but trying to give some advice to a content creator that’s worth giving it to as to prevent an accident happening to them. You are documenting so much, and providing valuable content that will last for years so many generations will see. Keep up the great work!
Awesome stuff, I'm thinking about buying a few of those.
Thanks for sharing! How did you come across this particular collection?
crazy batch
Woooow .....Mint condition ,awesome !
Great missing the Stereo pressings ;-)
I ran into a couple of Capitol execs at a robotics conference in the late 80's or early 90's. I asked what it was like when they were pressing 1960's Beatle records -- they could'nt crank them out fast enough. I then proceeded to bitch them out for the poor quality of the later 80's/90's Beatle record jackets -- the plates were clearly worn out on the Beatel capitol records I was buying then.
Unless they are Mint, Sealed Or Rare..there is literally no point in the vinyl world . you make it worth while, fantastic unboxing's ..thanks for the show!
Thanks for watching!
Literally no point? Non non non
fantastic!
One (was it two) Stones album covers didn't have the band's name on the front cover!!! Was that unusual for bands?
Amazing as always, Andrew.....are all of the Beatle records sold at this point?
Yes, they all went shortly after this video was made.
@@Parlogram gee, what a surprise ;-)
Damn, that's an amazing lot! It must of cost you a fortune
It must be quite a job packaging those records.
Where did you get these lovely records at?
I miss hanging out at TOWER Records in Hollywood in the very early 70s! No cassettes, no CDs, no SACDs, No MP3s, just LPs! I always bought the UK pressings of the Beatles and the Stones ( German if I could find them!)
Apart from the Cliff records I own all the others 😊
Wow, I wish I could listen to these! Where do you buy them?
wow .. that crazy ... bet that´s worth more then a new car ..lol
Were pinched corners a deliberate thing? If so, why??
cliff richards looks like biff from back to the future
Must have cost a pretty penny!!
half the trouble with sixties originals is what they were played on no matter how they might look the record players of that time destroyed the records with 4g of weight soon leads to distortion the stylus was never really changed either these do look like they were well looked after .
4g tracking force doesn't harm records - as long as the tonearm is fairly decent and aligned. Forces in excess of 6g however, will start to damage records. The vinyl compound used was designed this way back when introduced in the 50s.
Andrew,
Why does ABKCO insist on not releasing The Rolling Stones' first two albums on CD?!
ABKCO are doing a disservice to The Rolling Stones' revorded legacy!
You must mean the UK versions? The US debut and 12x5 are certainly available and sound spectacular. Also the eps came out in an Abkco singles set 1963 - 65. I much prefer the RS American albums, now that sonics are equal.
I think those are all reissued because they can’t be in that good of a condition I mean they can be but still
I found it hard to believe too, Mike. But they were all original.
