Hey Party, i'm not fully sure, but about the not being able to cast in battle might be because of the spelljammer province. It prevents the enemy of casting in battle or on the worldmap. So that might be a thing to look after when you go into battle, check the spelljammers first xD
You have an unused whispering stone - please check your vassals especially the new ones. Or use it in one of your cities to improve stability! I would recommend taking the last nature perk -50% to population food requirements. It works very well with the perk which gives free animal on city expansion plus it will speed up province gain for expansion victory.
As scarce as mana and gold both are, I'd say convert over new-hire. Even though I do like brock, 600 gold can draft some much needed units. Plus, stealing from Karissa is always a good idea. Are there any research posts you could turn into conduits? Doesn't make much sense researching more if we can barely use the magic we have, right?
I think you need way more mana, really stockpile a bunch. Hot Toady wanted 800 earlier, you have race transformations and maybe other spells besides summoning you could do. Half your units don't do anything, and you can only use three stacks at a time. Iirc I saw the tier 3 animal cost 30 mana a turn! If you have an equally good units that costs gold instead, I'd use that! I'd especially rather have more Druids. You probably have 300 mana in summoned units? Which ones are worth keeping and which could be sacrificed? Btw I love the Nymph, but you don't get to use their main ability often. Mindcontrol is like (30-)60% of instantly killing a unit (supposing you can get it killed) AND getting a good summon for three turns. You do need to get it in range as seduce used all action points and it's quite squishy. Iirc that one is 20 mana.
Know it won't matter but liking the series so I'm gonna subscribe. Keep up the videos
Why wouldn't it matter? I certainly appreciate it :)

Party, do you ever play D&D? If you were to make a D&D character tomorrow, what kind of character would it be?
You didn't tried the glade runner yet, did you?
Not yet but we definitely will!
Good fight! AoW4 came rich and easy to learn

Play planet zoo or planet coaster please
I think you're using Revitalize too early each battle. Better to have it as a response IMO.
I'm torn because usually when the fighting kicks off, I like to have the added damage output on hand
🤦
Ribbeting? Seriously?
