I think you made the right choice concerning the druid of the cycle event, Gur Gul is being true to his nature and as such will not stray simply because another of Gaia's beings tells you to stop. Despite the consequences, Gur Gul only yields out of necessity not convenience/ inconvenience. This is the impression I got from your character, hope it it helps! :)
Nice episode again. That continued growth seems the best choice indeed. While more than five cities is a pain to handle directly, the option of vassalage allows for all of Gaia to be united. Too bad you didn't take Carissa's free offer. Always more mana buildings to be built. Or more cash buildings and replace a bunch of summons with regular units?
The fact that you keep saying that you'll cast Super Growth, of how it was a big part of your plans for this playthrough, but never actually cast it despite having it for so long is actually quite vexing to me.
Just FYI, you can actually see what province improvements you have, and how many of each, in the city screen. The icons are just underneath the unit recruitment queue.
You are a mence party 😂.. You almost very overcautious when taking decisions and I like that but sometimes you do mistakes as if you are not paying attention at all and I like that too 😂

I'm very confused. When a realm that you are at war with crawls on it's belly to offer you overlordship (maybe for a nice bribe), why wouldn't you take the deal immediately? Is there a hidden "gotcha" in the game when your vassals renege and attack you? Or is it something else?

Yeahhhh I think I went a little heavy on summoning units tbh.
