Lots go ahp.... my buddy had 2 bad sets. Long story. Guides are the key. Me and my 2 buddies have AI 280 milled .025- .030 with torquer 110 cams with all supporting bolt ons and 100 octane tune. We all recieved A++ customer service and Phil gave lengthy replies over and over. Just that we all have che bronze guides. Which don't concern us with miles per year. Low 10 second c6 z06s. 100% satisfied. All of us. To each his own. I can hit 60 in 2.5 seconds on nt05Rs. With good hook fully warmed up. Stock clutch still with ZR1 clutch master.
I have AHP street ported heads and BTR Stage 2 cam which is similar to your cam and it rips! Nitto NT01 tires going on next week to replace MPSS for a bit more traction.
Great choice! I do need different tires as well. The torque is so strong that my current tires are useless. I plan to do a video of driving impressions soon but the weather has been hit and miss. 😐
Anyone else catch that he said aluminum intake valves? Im sure it was just a slip as he seems to know what he is talking about. LS7s used titanium intale valves of course
I'm hoping you had Kohle tumble polish and recoat the Ti intakes. GMs bean counters decided NOT to tumble polish them, and that is another reason the intake guides wear; a rougher valve stem rapidly wears out valveguides......
After talking with people who had their heads done by AHP and talking with AHP, I liked their package so I decided to give them a try. Plus, the price was right and the customer service really impressed me. Still happy with them!
My local performance shop, that’s suppose to be the best in my area uses Reconditioned LS7 Cylinder Heads for the swap. Have you heard of that? Is that different than getting AHP heads or is that what AHP does too?
I think there are many different definitions of what "reconditioned" means. Every shop can be different. I'd just ask them, and then I'd ask AHP how they are different.
Ported heads, cam, install kits and shipping was around $3,800 before core if I recall correctly. You can go to americanheritageperformance.com and price out a kit to your specs.
@@InJasonsGarage I'm thinking about buying a 08 Z06 but that head issue made me nervous so I'm stuck with getting ls3 or dealing with zo6 what you think

Holding up just fine, but my car is not the best one to use as a measuring stick on it...I haven't put very many miles on it as it is not my daily driver. However, the reason that I went with AHP is because I did my research and a lot of people who have gone with them have put a lot of hard miles on them without issue.

What valves on intake and exhaust? Have they been rechecked? I cant get in touch with Phil after initial contact, busy guy..
I have the same AHP heads as you Jason, I just had them installed by a shop a couple weeks ago. I'm excited to see your progress with them.
Thanks. Follow-up video in process, stay tuned! :)
Did you do a cam as well or just heads?
No sir I just did the heads, I wanted to do a cam as well but it just wasn't in the budget.
Mine are milled .010 with stainless exhaust valves like yours and stock springs
