Im running two amps 4500 Orion and a 200 watt Kenwood 4 12s the orion on the 4 6x9 and on 2 phonic 12s the dual 12 i could have bought them a mijer lol just not right for the orion it was ain't doing the job got the other 12 from the pawn shop, sounds a lot better, but i waiting for my passive eq to control the sounds second battery is next, can i use a inverter to keep the battery charged
How will it not blow the fuse when it hits over 200amps?
Oh no hearing you say. The Amp has fuses. So you don't need to fuse it. Thats a start for a fire if something goes wrong
You need to put a fuse from the amp to the rear battery if the amp has no internal fuses
You right fuse are the wrong design when it comes to music wiring!!!!!!!! And I will advance you to even bridge the ones in the amp itself!!!!!! I did that in my sound system now is the 6th year playing my music without fixing my amp or wires!!!!!!!!
If your amp tries to draw 400 amps of current through that 0 guage circuit, be ready to go through lots of 200 amp fuses unfortunately
Simply but perfect tutorial
Thanks buddy
so start in front battery then connect positive in back do u disconnect negative first on front before
This guy has no clue what he's doing lmfao
always put a fuse before your amp
Will do soon bud
Two 200 amp fuses is not one 400 amp 😅
That's very helpful thank u
Pleasure buddy
Dude your are so damn God damn bad ass cant explain!. Thank you so damn much
How would you do it if you do two batteries in the back
Good info, I have a question though. I have all zero gauge but an old 8gauge still sitting unconnected. Would there be a downside to connecting that 8gauge on the negative to negative terminal of first two batteries?
Isn't it bad to have a ground cable longer than 36inches?
That's correct. Even shorter is better
It's not bad to have long grounds, you just want them to be short as possible if you can help it.
You can also run the negative wire from the amp to another ground instead of the battery
You can yes. But they say its best for all the grounds of the amps to all be together at one fixed point. Thats what i heard the guys say
@@gwatboy Actually, you want the shortest and cleanest ground as possible., It does not have to be the same point. It's grounding the power.
Your great. You made it easy for installing a second battery. But do I need a idolater??
Yes
I have a company fitted 35Ah car battery and I want to install a 2nd 50ah battery to my car so can I do a parallel connection?
Will the alternator take the load of charging both batteries together as it has now become 35ah+50ah=85Ah in total?
Super simple. Great video.
south Africa peace
god damn that hair is not something to be proud of
Hehehe thanks man
What amps can batteries be, as far as I know if u use 40 amp front and 60 amp at back all batteries will only charge to 40 amps
Need to make a UA-cam comeback mate!
Thank you for your lay out super helpful
Always read that the amps negative ground wire also went to the ground in the chassis. Why does this say to the battery negative?
If you have 2 batteries does it effect the alternator
Confused 😂
What if you have a ground on block and chasis and alternator
Old video but how do I do with the alternator so my second battery in the trunk charges?
Alternator and front battery are grounded. 2nd bat is grounded as well. It will charge by the alternator, through the positive from the front battery.
The scooters I'm talking about is electric bikes/bicycles called TaoTao Electric Bicycle scooter Moped and a X-treme New XB 504 Electric Bicycle Scooter and a Cabo Cruiser Elite X-Treme Electric Bicycles ? My Question is can i hook up two batteries to those scooters to increase the speed and travel distance if so i want to know the safe way to do it ?
that heat must be intense....im glad im not over there i dont do to good in the heat.
good video bro keep them goin, its great to help people 👍
Perfect explanation
Still feeling it? Lol
Battery size same as car or bigger
I would definately consider upgrading your stock battery to something more beefy . I always throw in a bigger battery
are you running a stock alternator for both batteries?
Can I use a regular car battery to power my system or do I need a special Audio battery
Exactly what I wanna know
Do I need to run a charging wire to the battery in the back from the alternator?
Drew Rogers no need to when u start ur car it charges from your front battery
richard villa whats up i wanna be able to listen to my stereo system while my car is off but am too afraid for the battery to die, will adding the second battery prevent this or will it kill both batterys as well?
@@shepherdoffire9263 lol you have to have the car running for the alternator to hold that charge if it's not then yes both batteries will die
When connecting the secondary battery , should my second battery be fully connected to amp with both positive and negative or should my front battery be connected first and leave my secondary battery negative last to connect , ?
So I have a second battery I have installed my question. I’m running 6ga wire now I want to upgrade to zero gauge can I run the zero gauge just from the second battery to the amp. Or do I need to run to zero gauge from the first battery and to the second battery then to the amp? Appreciate any help.
That will be best yes to run 0 gauge from front to back battery then to amps. 6 gauge is very thin
gwatboy thanks you.
gwatboy I have a 200 amp fuse on the second battery. Am I gonna need another 200 amp fuse for the front battery??
Never mind my last question I went back and rewatch the video thanks for your help though
Goeie video bra.
Danki boet
Comb your hair
keep growin'. i would like to see more in depth videos with numbers and specs. do something that hasent been talked about. like more on the internals of amplifiers and stuff about maxwell boost caps. or how differnt ports work. from the u.s. trailer park boys unite.
My 0g wire is 300amp fuse do i use that or do i use that 200amp fuse seems dumb to use 200 but there may be a reason
420b4crack 200 is fine or just run the 0gauge from the battery straight back to the amp without the fuse so u won’t have to worry about blowing it
Hello!
I know I'm a little late to the party here, but great video. Wanted to get your input. I'm thinking about a 2cnd battery as well, but dont know if it'll work. 1st battery will of course be my car battery. Could I use a compact 12 v battery as the second? It's from a power scooter. Voltage and amperage are the same, so I would think it'd be okay, but dont want a fire going down the road either.
Nice you answered all my questions bro 💯💯👍
Hi
I have an orion hcca 12.4 and a d5000 amp, my sub cuts out when booming hard and the voltage drops i have not upgraded any batts, what batterie would you recommend?
shaun b i would get this but u can go cheaper one but with out u got sounds like ull be upgrading in future so i get this the link is below down4soundshop has all ur car audio needs (super fast shipping) www.down4soundshop.com/12v-bci-group-47-agm-battery-max-amps-2-900a-ca-745-ah-50-2000w-3000w/
Ok now say after connecting both batteries n the amp if I want to connect n add a capacitor, how would I connect it to the amp n battery
Why do you have 2 fuse on the same power wire and no fuse on the wire that goes to the amp?
Kevon Williams not too sure wire he used two on the wire to the 2nd battery. But for the the wire from the battery to the amp do need a fuse. But since the amp already did have a fuse he did no need to. The fuse is actually to protect the amp. Big mono amps usually do not have a fuse on them and it is important to put one on the power wire
@@davislutchman8980 no the fuse protects teh wire....the amp protects iteself with protect hopefully
can u just add a regular car battery for car audio s8
