@trevor anderson note of correction. LDS church does not believe that salvation come through baptism. but through an acceptance of Jesus as our Lord and Savior. the Book of Mormon as does the bible states that salvation is a free gift from God to all who believe on His name. 2 Nephi 2:4, 2 Nephi 26:27). At baptism we make covenants with God to live a more pure and obedient life, if we strive to live according to those covenants we believe that we will receive a higher level of reward and glory in Heaven, but salvation comes long before that. though the step up we make when baptized by the proper authority is a form of salvation it is more so a step into eternal life from a lesser existence, than it is salvation, perse. salvation essentially is access into heaven. which technically would include any of the three degrees of glory (1 Corinthians 15:40-41). However, LDS doctrines teaches that baptism is the gate through which we enter the highest of those three degrees of glory (Celestial). What it comes down to is that Jesus and a belief in Him is sufficient to get us into Heaven, and following His teachings and worshiping Him is what gains us entance into the second of the three degrees of glory, but only when we accept the proper authority of God and participate in the ordinances and make and keep covenants with God (baptism, ordination, endowment, sealing, etc.) can we inherit the highest of those degrees of glory in the Lord's kingdom. this is the truth of God on the matter... the close to Him we wish to be the more obedient and faithful to His eternal principles we must become.
@@scottb4509 you just disproved your own cult the bible clearly states believe jesus is god and believe in the gospels the book of mormon is not true and your not gonna become a god
@@ss.fx3626 I do not see in any way that I have taught contrary to the Bible, nor has disproved anything. You just don't like it so you make up ways to try and justify criticizing it. In fact I was teaching principles directly from the Bible, which you are ignoring. The Book of Mormon actually speaks about Jesus more than the Bible does, and in much more detail and specificity. if anything the Book of Mormon teaches more about Jesus than the Bible does. The Bible references Jesus about 1000 times, while the Book of Mormon references Jesus some 3900 times. The Book of Mormon declares Jesus to be God, more than the Bible does. so, your argument is invalid. However, I would in no way attempt to say that the Book of Mormon replaces the Bible. the Bible is the foundation of all Christian beliefs, and doctrines, and then the Book of Mormon builds upon those beliefs the details and specific meanings of what is taught in the Bible. the Book of Mormon give more detail and enlightenment about what is taught in the bible. they are companions and fulfills the principle found in the bible that the Lord teaches line upon line, and precept upon precept. the Bible was a level of teaching that was later built upon with the Book of Mormon, and then the Doctrine and Covenants are built upon the Book of Mormon. and the records of the lost ten tribes are prophesied to be built upon that. What you deem as a cult is the way to exaltation. and If you'd be willing to actually read the Book of Mormon with a contrite heart, you might come to find the truth declared within it. also the Bible teaches that you can be a god. in fact the Bible doesn't even parse words, and declares that you are a god, and a child of the Most High God, and have the potential as well as the commandment to become perfect just as the Father in Heaven is perfect. and sit in the Father's throne of glory and power, as an equal to Jesus Christ. those are all direct doctrines straight from the Bible. maybe you need to do a bit more studying and you'll figure it out eventually.... Hopefully.

And secondly, I appreciate this video because I think a lot of people including converts like me, feel pressure to go to the temple right away like, we have to do it all in a year. @@glenculliney3852 endowment is a term used to describe the power of God endowed to mankind. My point is that everything that is done in the temple can be found in the scriptures.
@@glenculliney3852 The word endowment is not mentioned in the scriptures. But there are references to the gift of power that is meant by the endowment. St. Luke 24:49 "And, behold, I send the promise of my father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high." and in 1John 2:20 and 27 "But ye have an unction from the Holy One, and ye know all things." "But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teachers you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him." Unction means anointing, which is something that occurs in the temple today. I don't expect people outside of the church to understand completely what the endowment is. It is Biblical, but it isn't very clear in the Bible. That is why there are prophets today. If the Lord wants to add more to the Bible, Book of Mormon, D&C or give us any new instruction, we would happily receive it. We believe all that the Lord has revealed, does reveal, and will reveal. He is a living God and has not finished His work, so He has a lot more to do, and say.
@@davidjanbaz7728 Revelations talks about an angel flying through heaven with the everlasting gospel to preach. We believe that is Moroni with the Book of Mormon. But there is a major flaw with your question. You see, the Bible is a book. It is a collection of inspired writings from the prophets, apostles and witnesses of God and Jesus Christ. It is a fantastic book that only came to existence because God willed it. But here are the 3 initial problems. #1-- the Bible mentions several books that are not found in the Bible, the authors in the Bible say that if they recorded everything that Christ did the books would fill the earth. The apostles said to not be "soon shaken in the mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand." Meaning there were false letters being written of people pretending to be the Apostles. These prove that not everything that was written is in the Bible and some things may have been left out because they had fake letters mixed with real letters and while trying to keep fake letters out they may have inadvertently left real letters out as well. #2 God isn't done speaking. He is the fount of all knowledge, not the Bible. He could reveal any number of new things, including anything additional that Christ did or miracles He performed. #3 The world interprets the Bible and fights over it's meanings so here is another quote for you. The bible is not "open to private interpretation." But the world still tries. So again, you do err. The Bible is not the final authority on the subject... Heavenly Father is.
Serious question: at the MTC, are missionaries taught to speak solely in question form? I didn't serve a mission, and my wife and I have joked about this every time we listen to missionaries and even RMs for awhile after they're home... But lately I wonder if it actually happens. Lol!
Yes actually! I am a RM but that was 4 years ago lol. Still I was a Ward Mission Leader in my family ward a few months ago and spoke with our sisters about it and they said that they primarily want to focus on asking questions and letting others talk. It's a teaching style in the new "Preach my Gospel" and it is based on how the Lord Jesus Christ usually answered people by asking questions or taught principles of the kingdom of Heaven by inspired and thought-provoking questions! :) it's cool I think haha :)

Ignore PhantomPain, look for those things that uplift you. If you have questions then look for real sources and real answers. Newnamenoah is not a good source nor is it reliable. Negativity breeds negativity and I have not found one "anti-LDS" that is not stuck in the loop. They allow themselves to be brainwashed by Satan. Don't get me wrong, the church is not perfect, but there is SO MUCH more good than bad, and Christ said it wouldn't be perfect until He reigns in the Millenium. One thing is for sure, there isn't a church with a more pure and perfect doctrine that you can find on the Earth and the absolute fulness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Ok so I have a question for you guys.... As a Mormon, how would you like to be told by your partner that they don’t share your beliefs and don’t want to convert as much as they love you?
Yes the information is all on the LDS website but it’s hidden deep. This is what’s called the “gospel essays”. The LDS church has to publish this information but keeps it quiet because they don’t really want the members to read them.
I disagree. The church is very encouraging of having their members go through the temple. They want everyone to have the opportunity to go through the temple. But they also want them to be prepared. I don't know where you have the impression that the church "has" to publish the information, but I do know that it is not true that "they don't really want the members to read them". They want them to go through and be prepared to enter into the temple.
Alot of people seem to think that members of the church, are BRAINWASHED, or that we have an inability to actually think for ourselves! 👱♀️However this is not the case! Many people in the LDS church are incredibly Educated and know more than one language! 🌷 If you have a Humble soul, you're teachable, if you're prideful, and a total know it all, you're unteachable, and blinded from the truth ! This is Satan's goal, to keep the WORLD from the truth of the Gospel ! WHEN we go into WAR,we know our ENEMY, we know his location, the type of weapons he has, amo Etc, but we need to do the same WITH SATAN, he is our enemy, his goal is to Take us out, and lead us away from GOD!
When the essays came out they did a whole class on each one in my area. I have no idea what you are talking about. The church publishes them, hosts it for free on the website and en members to read them but that isn't enough?
Yes the LDS people are often some of the kindest and most educated people around, I agree. But the Gospel Essays I’m referring to are not the ones that you’ve done classes on to go through the temple. I’m referring to the essays about the history of the church. And I also agree that our enemy is out there trying to deceive everyone of us. The most important part of the Gospel is that Jesus died for us, and his blood is enough to cover all our sins when we confess.
He had 55 wives and had children with 16 of them, the remainder were for eternity only and were not consummated. The commandment of plural marriage was to raise up seed unto the Lord which was his purpose in entering into polygynous relationships. It was very useful as he had 56 children.
I found this in a guide: In a general sense, a gift of power from God. Worthy members of the Church can receive a gift of power through ordinances in the temple that gives them the instruction and covenants of the Holy Priesthood that they need in order to attain exaltation. The endowment includes instruction about the plan of salvation. "There you shall be endowed with power from on high" (Luke 24:49) (There were more scripture quotes but this message would've been even longer)
thank you - I have been born again and immersed baptized but not lds so was wondering about the endowment - I have great lds friends but have not asked them yet for personal reasons
@trevor anderson you have no idea what you reply to me means - I need encouragement like yours. "Then you can go to the temple to receive your endowments. It is truly a personal and sacred experience for those who go in for the right reasons." so wish i happen - the holy spirit keeps on after me. Thank You so much
God always commanded His people to build temples. It's not that God needs temples, but we do. We need these buildings and the absolute sacred symbolism to help us remember to follow the commandments of God. So they are holy places where we can come even closer to God and specific sealing ordinances can be performed. Christ in Matthew 21 called the temple his house. In malachi it says the Lord will "suddenly come to his temple." So there are many reasons for the temples, the biggest being that the Lord commands it.
@@colbyhicks9470 Because the early Apostles were persecuted and killed. Christ and all of the prophets before Him as well as the apostles told of a time when Christ would be killed and the church would fall away. After a time of "famine, from hearing the word of God" there would be a "restitution of all things." Temples were always important, Christ Himself called them His house and even eluded to the endowment to the apostles when they would be "endued with power from on high." That knowledge was lost with the death of the apostles and restored through the prophet Joseph Smith. Just as proclaimed by Jesus and prophesied by the Lords prophets and apostles.
@@davidjanbaz7728 It does say we are the temple of God, as we should be a dwelling place for His Spirit. This says nothing of temples not being needed. Christ still called it "my house." Christ doesn't need temples, we do. They are places where we can come closer to God. Mountains have always been a symbol of temples. A place where we can be separated from the world and closer to God.
@@davidjanbaz7728 The Bible is littered with references to members apostatizing. Even all of Asia. Christ said "the kingdom of God will be taken from you and given to a nation producing the fruits thereof." When he spoke to the pharisees. Peter and Paul consistently taught that the church would fall. Speaking of the second coming of Christ Paul said that His coming would not come until a "falling away" came first. Also they spoke of Christ going to heaven, not returning until the restitution of all things. There are a very large number of scriptures that speak of the apostasy also referred to as the "famine" from "hearing the word of God." Even more evidence is that of the "christian" churches as well. They vary in doctrine, claiming to be reformations and "Christ's" church yet all of their doctrines are different. Some teach baptism, some don't, the doctrines are as endless as their divisions... and they are proof of the Apostasy. Not to mention the creeds of Nicea, Athanasia and the councils of Constantinople, among others. Only the blind can't see that the apostasy has happened.
A lot will be made more clear in the millennium. Revelations teaches us that after the first resurrection there will be 1000 years of peace, most of which time we will spend doing temple work, sealing our families all the way back to Adam and Eve. Those who accept Christ and His commandments will have the opportunity to accept baptism, marriage etc... The Lord does wish us to marry, but only as man and woman. He has clarified in the scriptures that homosexual relations are inappropriate.

Do you know temple rituals are originally from free masonry? do you know Joseph Smith burrowed it from free masonry and free masonry is not a religion ? lots of wierd rituals signs like slitting throat were taken away from the temple in late 1980s?
@@sampathrathnayaka3905 I did know that cause I’ve been a part of this religion for my whole life. It doesn’t change anything because that’s not the point.
@@sarahdougall9535 what is the point then? free masonry is not a religion and Joseph Smith was a free mason.when he created his own religion he burrowed stuff from around his neighborhood such as golden plates from treasure digging ,treaure gaurdian spirits as angels, the famous theory native indian were descendants from lost tribe of Israel as Lehi and his family from Israel etc.there are ton of things.
Mimi your hair is so beautiful! Loving the highlights !!
Zenos Villondo you are too sweet!!! Thanks so much! ☺️
You guys are the best! Thank you!
Great video! Are you going to have a halloween themed video?
Hey Diego! Yes, we will have a Halloween-themed video! It's gonna be spoooky :)
Cool!
Wait, is Justin married now?
Mimi, you're not the only one! I can't do it either.
For first timers, it also includes washing and anointing.
I went through for myself yesterday, I can testify that the endowment is of God, if you're going through for the first time just relax, and let the Holy Spirit guide you, if you mess up someone will be right next to you to help you out.
Do you know temple rituals are originally from free masonry? do you know Joseph Smith burrowed it from free masonry and free masonry is not a religion ? lots of wierd rituals signs like slitting throat were taken away from the temple in late 1980s?
Jesus is enough.
Hopefully.
@@scottb4509 book of mormon is not true joseph smith made that up if it were true why couldnt he showed the golden plates cause he was a fraud thats why and are you saying the book of morons is holier than the bible???????? cause it mentions jesus "more" not everybody whos lord lord will make it to the kingdom

First of all I laughed for like five minutes and trying to see if I can't count that way. I can somewhat but the one finger doesn't go back all the way. And secondly, I appreciate this video because I think a lot of people including converts like me, feel pressure to go to the temple right away like, we have to do it all in a year. Instead of receiving revelation letting us know it's our time, when we're ready to receive endowments and such. I've not been to the temple yet and I've been a part of the church for a year. I think when we're ready and it's our time to go, we'll know. I made a post about this topic somewhat when I posted about my one year anniversary of being part of the church.

@@glenculliney3852 endowment is a term used to describe the power of God endowed to mankind. My point is that everything that is done in the temple can be found in the scriptures.
@@glenculliney3852 have you been there?
Love your channel!! I've been a member for 2 years now! And went through Provo City centre last year and it was beautiful! And Mimi I can't do 4 on each hand like that either! 😂😂much Love And blessings always Francesca xxx
Francesca L I would recommend you study the history of the church watch newnamenoah if you want to see and learn about the temples
PriestJK thank you so much for your kind comment! I agree, the church isn’t perfect but the love of Christ is ♥️ sending much kind wishes your way ☺️
Ok so I have a question for you guys....
@@heatherang they are the ones i am talking about. The essays were in a temple class, i am talking about the church history ones. Nice try.
Suggestion. You should do a review of Kanye’s Jesus is King album 👍
Brigham young had 58 wives, is that true ?
Yeah he was also a racist and said Adam is the god of the earth and Eve is one of his wives
He had 55 wives and had children with 16 of them, the remainder were for eternity only and were not consummated. The commandment of plural marriage was to raise up seed unto the Lord which was his purpose in entering into polygynous relationships. It was very useful as he had 56 children.
I don't see how intelligent people can buy this guy's game?
After so long it still goes on, it's an amazing thing

It means :"have you had your endowments taken out?"
“It’s nothing weird” .... haha
I'm the same way Mimi
Just turn your fingers around like a peace sign and you'll do it "the European way" ;)
what means endowment
I found this in a guide:
In a general sense, a gift of power from God. Worthy members of the Church can receive a gift of power through ordinances in the temple that gives them the instruction and covenants of the Holy Priesthood that they need in order to attain exaltation. The endowment includes instruction about the plan of salvation.
"There you shall be endowed with power from on high" (Luke 24:49)
(There were more scripture quotes but this message would've been even longer)
thank you - I have been born again and immersed baptized but not lds so was wondering about the endowment - I have great lds friends but have not asked them yet for personal reasons
can I receive endowment even if I not lds?
@trevor anderson you have no idea what you reply to me means - I need encouragement like yours. "Then you can go to the temple to receive your endowments. It is truly a personal and sacred experience for those who go in for the right reasons." so wish i happen - the holy spirit keeps on after me. Thank You so much
Why do y’all think that temples are necessary in this dispensation?
God always commanded His people to build temples. It's not that God needs temples, but we do. We need these buildings and the absolute sacred symbolism to help us remember to follow the commandments of God. So they are holy places where we can come even closer to God and specific sealing ordinances can be performed.
Christ in Matthew 21 called the temple his house. In malachi it says the Lord will "suddenly come to his temple." So there are many reasons for the temples, the biggest being that the Lord commands it.
Jonathan Priest
Okay. Then why has there never been a Christian temple in the long history of the church before the LDS one?
There are a very large number of scriptures that speak of the apostasy also referred to as the "famine" from "hearing the word of God."
Even more evidence is that of the "christian" churches as well.
Does the endowment mean how much money you pledge to the church?
No. It's just a promise essentially you make with god.and he gives you a promise. Nothing to do with money
If this is true then what about gay people or single people ?
A lot will be made more clear in the millennium. Revelations teaches us that after the first resurrection there will be 1000 years of peace, most of which time we will spend doing temple work, sealing our families all the way back to Adam and Eve. Those who accept Christ and His commandments will have the opportunity to accept baptism, marriage etc... The Lord does wish us to marry, but only as man and woman. He has clarified in the scriptures that homosexual relations are inappropriate.
😂😂😂
It Is the same ritual they use in Satanism. And Mormons and Satanist are the only two faiths which claim they have the power to "seal".
It’s not that intense yet you all look and sound really scared how sad little lives you have
