Brother Hilton Thank you for this. I wish I would have had someone prepare me and explain these things to me when I was preparing to receive my own endowments back in 1985. I am definitely going to share this video with certain individuals who could benefit from what you've shared here. I appreciate you very much! ❤
My 18 year old daughter and I are watching this today as she is receiving her endowment this Saturday in the Mesa temple. I have been attending the temple for 25 years and I learned a lot too! Thank you so much!
I am so grateful for this wonderful video. It is 1000x more helpful than the temple prep classes I had received. I am now teaching temple prep and trying to base my lessons off of your video. so many great quotes and info, thank you so much!
This was absolutely perfect! Watched with my daughter soon to go through. As a temple worker I've seen quite a few kids go through wide eyed and not knowing what to expect. I think this video should be mandatory in the best way. Thank you! 😊
Amazing! Thank you! I have always believed in Christ! I have been baptized and I can't wait to receive my Temple endowment! I really really want to participate and obtain such blessings!
My husband is serving as bishop currently and we are doing the temple prep course with our graduating seniors which we host in our home each Sunday evening. We shared this video with them this evening as part of our class and each of the youth said it this information helped them more than anything so far. We especially appreciated the advice to eat something before they go to the temple. So informational and beautifully presented. Thank you so much for this!
Thank you so much for this. I am teaching the Temple Prep class in our YSA ward and the manual is very, very outdated. This as helped so much. It's fabulous!
Thank you so much. I love attending the temple, and this will help my grandchildren as they are starting to take out their endowments. This explained everything so clearly. It was perfect!!
Let's make an effort to say "receive their endowment" rather than "take out their endowments"...Language is important. How we talk about these sacred things really matters.
As teenager these things were never explained to me and it always worried me or made wary of the temple. When in reality it’s a beautiful joyful thing and should be talked about with respect and passion. Thank you for this video.
Thank you so much for this! My son is getting ready to receive his endowment and hasn’t been able to do a temple prep class. He has been reading books by Elder Packard and Anthony Sweat because he wants to feel prepared for this sacred ordinance. This video is an answer to my prayers in how to help him know what to expect.
Thank you thank you. I have been sharing this with new temple goer's. I appreciate the reference to the church handbook in describing the 5 covenants. It is refreshing to see our leaders insite for new members to understand the temple. Great job brother Hilton.
Hi John, I appreciate the hard work you've put in to do such a great job. Quick question, I've never been sure what is okay to talk about in the temple but I always thought the new name and veil were more on the sacred side of things. Could you share what guided you in determining what is appropriate to talk about (including this video)? I'm aware of Elder Bednar's talk a few years ago but wondered what guided you. Thanks again!
This is an amazing video and tool for those entering the Temple for the first time. That being said we would like to share it with our ward but are unsure if this would be appropriate at church ? Is this video endorsed by the church leaders or backed by the church in some way ?
Paige, I love that you're asking this question. Church leaders typically do not endorse videos not made by the church, and, while this video is released by Scripture Central, definitely a trusted source, it is not officially backed by the church.
Thank you for your response . I have shared many people your video and it has been so helpful for young adults I come in contact with who are preparing to go to the temple for the first time .
I am interested in this discussion because my first experience was so so very long ago, tho I have returned 100’s of times since, I see such a contrast now in so many youth who are also fully endowed yet parade about on social media platforms as tho they were not. Bare midriff, bend over to show cleavage, short shorts, skimpy swimwear, bare shoulders, & butt shaking. As tho modesty were not needful or a thot in their minds. Or it’s somehow justified as “a job requirement” the covenants made previously.
Your comment seems pretty judgmental. It should be of no concern to you what one chooses to wear. We’re commanded to not judge others and love them as Christ does.
There is no covenant we make in the temple that isn't subsumed by the baptismal covenant. There is no mention in the Bible or Book of Mormon that we need secret signs or keywords to return to God.
Way too little way too late. The entire Temple endowments of the past and to today are on UA-cam. Every teenager that's waiting in line for their McDonald's hamburger can simply look at the entire endowment. So naïve to think that 95% of LDS youth haven't seen it all already .
This is by far the best temple prep I have ever seen. Beautifully done!!! Thank you so much I’m sharing with my bishop and stake youth leaders!
Thank you so much!
This is so clear, straightforward, and powerful! Thank you Bro Hilton!
Thanks Dino!
Thank you so much. This would have enhanced my experience 50+ years ago. Your explanation is spot on as well as comforting.
Thanks Pamela!
@@johnhiltoniiiI will certainly reccemond it to everyone I know planning on going to the Temple. Thank you!!!
This is by far the very best temple preparation resource I’ve ever seen! 🌟 Thank you so much!!
Thanks Angela!
As somone who has been trying to take this next step this is very appreciated!
Fantastic! I will share this with many who are preparing to enter the temple for the first time. Beautiful presentation. Thank you!
Thank you Connie!

The best introduction to the temple endowment I've ever seen. Thank you!
Thank you Spencer!
Beautifully presented with reverence and respect.
Thank you John.
Thanks Barbie!

You always have a wonderful gift for making sense in your videos
Thank you for each video ❤ 26:20

Loved it. Amazing. If 10% of this was covered during my prep class in 2002, my first experience would have been the opposite it actually became.
I do hope that your experiences at the temple have grown to be filled with God's love for you.
This video is so well thought out and helpful! Thank you! ❤
Thank you!
Thank you so much for sharing I preparing my endowment this coming february.❤
Amazing! Thank you! I have always believed in Christ! I have been baptized and I can't wait to receive my Temple endowment! I really really want to participate and obtain such blessings!
John, thanks for sharing this video! I'm passing it on to the youth in my ward.
I remember the earlier version of this, so well.
I hope to be able to find that one here again to be twice-blessed 😊
Thank you John. So we’ll done! This is so helpful and is sure to ease the anxious mind of many when they receive their endowment for the first time.
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Christine!

Simple and very clearly done. The best explanation I’ve heard ❤
I’ve already received my endowment and been back many times, and yet I find myself watching this video for the 3rd time! Masterfully well produced.
Wow, thank you!
This was so wonderfully done. It should be a requirement for anyone planning on going. Thank you!
Such a wonderful Video! I have already recieved my endowment, but this was a good overall reminder of the simplicity of this ordinance! Thank you!
As teenager these things were never explained to me and it always worried me or made wary of the temple. When in reality it’s a beautiful joyful thing and should be talked about with respect and passion. Thank you for this video.
Thanks for sharing!
Couldn't be better!👍

You are so welcome!
I'm so glad this could be helpful. The books by Elder Pack and Anthony Sweat are great! I pray your son has a wonderful experience at the temple!
This was a wonderful review of the Temple experience. Thank you!
Thank you for your kind words! :)
The best ever! Thank you very much.
