I've been wanting to buy a Super PJ5 for years, and this video reminded me exactly why. It's my absolute dream bass, but it's very expensive, and Dingwall doesn't ship here to the Philippines. I won't lose hope, though. I'll get one someday, no matter how long it takes.

So wonderful! And your playing is not only excellent but I'm always astonished at how incredibly consistent your playing is every single time.
I'm not a huge fan of fully rolled off tone on any bass, but even though it's my least favorite set of tones the Dingwall tone rolloff sounds wonderfully useable.

@@IvanBassist it’s an amazing line and your personal touch was a nice add. The PJ sounds great, I don’t know why they cost so much. It’s now a bucket list bass for me.

Can I ask, does the scale length of 32inch to 34.25 inch feel any different to a normal 34inch bass?

Some things feel different, but it’s super easy to get used to. I wouldn’t worry about it too much
@@IvanBassist I have 2 dingwalls already and the 34-37 inch is fine. I'm just worried the 32-34.25 might feel too small

4k... silly money. couldn't justify it for a dingwall personally. you so many second hand dingwalls and they just dont hold the value. it looks awesome and is probably super nice to play but its not a 4k instrument imo
You gotta show me where you are finding these dingwalls that don’t hold their value because the ones I see cost as much as new ones
@jmanthirtyseven the nolly signature is around £2500 - £2600 new? they go for £1400 - £1800
The super P is what..around £3400 - £3800 new?... July last year they were selling for £1700 - £2400... I just see them going for quite a lot cheaper than other brands in that tier..
@@seed8325 man you guys are getting shafted price wise for the brand new basses
they aren't that expensive brand new elsewhere
used ones i've seen generally go for upwards of 80% of the new cost
@@seed8325Custom made basses with a year or two wait time between ordering and getting it are going to be a lot more expensive. No one buys a custom bass to save money.
If you buy basses based on their resale value do you really care that much about saving money?
