How you manage to drive your cars with nearly zero clearance in the wheel arches is the most impressive thing about Driftworks, I have a reasonably low car but it's an offroader in comparison to the 911 & Lambo
Aggressive camber curves, and crazy high spring rates. Can't hit the arch if the suspension is designed to take an apex kerb hit at 200km/h. Makes it feel like you're driving a gokart with no suspension but it looks hotboi.

I may not like the aesthetics of the air-cooled 911's, but they do have a radically different sound compared to the later water jacketed engines. The fact that Porsche managed to design such a performant engine without liquid cooling is deserving of respect. Even if it isn't my aesthetic preference, that can't change the fact that this is an incredibly cool car.

This thing sounds absolutely SICK. I like that you can hear more of the induction and engine noise. Sounds much more balanced overall on camera anyways
Get a frequency reading app on your phone and drive the car to find the exact frequency of the drone noise you want to cancel out, then you can work out the length of the "J-pipe" you need from the equations. Drone isn't actually the exhaust, it's it's resonant frequency of your cars passenger cabin. You find what that frequency is, then make a J-pipe to cancel that exhaust frequency out with deconstructive superposition of the exhaust pulses :)
Friends persuade friends to do things they wouldn’t do in their own cars lol. Nice one. Full disclosure this and the v10 m3 are the main reasons why I subscribe. Luv this car!
Sometimes it’s better to just leave earlier or pull in and get a coffee and stick to the actual route, I don’t have much re-route choice in a truck but have been screwed over more than once in the RX7 being taken down bridleways etc
Phil, the blocked off bit of pipe you mentioned is called a Helmholtz Resonator. They’re easy to make, and work brilliantly to eliminate a single frequency, but do take a bit of maths and a little trial and error to get right.
It’s called a Helmholtz… there is an equation (temp of gas, rpm etc) which will get you close but make something that can be easily lengthen, start at the short end of the equation answer and extend to tune the length… sometimes you need to change the diameter as well. Had the same issue on my 997.1 GT3 with AWE exhaust, at crushing speed 65/70mph and approx 2900 rpm in top, the resonance was horrendous. 😱
Helmholtz was a person 😀 I don’t think it’s a helmholtz chamber he described, as that is to do with volume and is a big chamber, the blocked off pipe I thought it is a j pipe, and google just suggested that’s also known as a 1/4 wave resonator or even a helmholtz tube that doesn’t worry about volume, just length.
Top tip, pretty much all petrol stations or post offices still have a map of the local area if not the UK in stock. Probably dusty and hanging out with the " adult " material 😂😂
