The wonder of Abi and her vocal talents is that she has the ability to accept feedback from the judges and mentors on this show and it has helped her professionally. Even her rendition of Disney's Little Mermaid, "Part of That World" is amazing! Also her performance of the Fleet Mac "The Chain" is a must to see and listen to her vocals with her dominance on the stage! Please watch

You professed to like Amy Lee's voice, and you were impressed with Abi Carter. This performance was really out of the box for her genre wise though she said in a recent interview it was was one of two she liked the best so far. I paid her the high complement of reminding me of Floor Jansen who I don't think you are familiar with. The compliment was centered around Abi being a master of her instrument like Floor. Floor, besides developing a number of solo projects is also the lead vocalist of the Finnish band Nightwish. Interestingly, their performance of Ghost Love Score live at Wacken 2013 is the most reacted video on YTube. If nothing else, it brings the Nightwish Army to reactor channel in droves. Many reactors not familiar with them on the first reaction are reminded of Evanessence though I don't think the genres are the same. FYI, the final show of American Idol is Sunday if you're interested in hearing Abi live or seeing if she gets enough votes to win it.
