Well, I can't wait either, but I feel the Buchla will deliver very well because it's indeed a real Buchla quad LPG. QMMG also has high pass filter and resonance, which is missing from the Buchla. Not sure I'll really miss it, though. I'll definitely do a compare when the 292T is out (hopefully summer 2022).

I think you should wait/save for the Quad Dynamics Gate from TipTop/Buchla, the 292T because a 'real' Buchla needs low pass gates. Compared to mainstream eurorack it will be cheap (especially compared to the original 292 and the 'natural gates'), but it may/will also be sold out in one day. Expected in Summer 2022. And if funds are insufficient, please enjoy what you already have or sell stuff that doesn't make you smile. Veils will work fine as a quad VCA. Another great option is the Eowave Fluctuations Magnetiques. It's a quad filter, but it sounds amazing as a 'VCFA' and it may be available second hand somewhere.

@@martintaylor9205 Unfortunately no. Tryptych is a great module to complement a 292T to turn it into a truly complex oscillator with waveshaping/folding. You'll love it. However, the Eowave has four inputs and tons of routing options. You could create very complex sounds and rhythms with it, and it's an excellent multi mode filter.
