I have been using this for about a month. It would act weird and not refill when the water level dropped, but somehow it fixed itself and now works seemlessly. I love how I can pause it during water changes.
I have a very similar looking ato and same experience. I just recently am building confidence in letting it ATO for me. Especially since I'm going on vacation next week. What's annoying is that I frequently have power brownouts that cause it to restart the calibration, so it has to go to the overflow level each time it does that. I'm using it on a 3 gallon (prob the most nano you can get) so very little wiggle room for how high I set the sensor. Meaning the water level gets very close to the very top of the tank. EDIT: Just found a culprit to the issue. Snail went over the sensor tripping it. Fortunatiely the ATO stopped b4 going over the top. My filter that also dubs as a skimmer & water flow popped the skimmer cage off. The woes of a mega nano tank.
for nano tank i run my ATO on timer turn it on 4 times a day for 2 mins then off because i almost flood my tank because my filter floss clogged and ato keep running
i have same for over a year never had a problem, for the reservoir i use a 2.5 gallon drinking water container from publix XD my 20 gallon uses like a gallon per week
I have 2 different ones I got off Amazon paid $30 each and have no issues as of yet . You win some you loose some could be an operator issue for the bad reviews. I love your tanks
i agree with this! @dreamstateliving -you can put the intake hose in the chamber right before or just off to the side and it wont affect the water surface as much so the sensor can stop accurately.

Just got this for my sons tank and one for my tank. How do you pause it to do water changes?
@@edguinayala8479Hit the button and it should flash.
I’ve had the same ATO for about 3 months now no issues. Let’s see how it performs in the long run

Sweet!! That’s good news!
I have been looking for an ATO- thanks! might scope this one too.
The arrow on the check valve indicates the water flow direction. Not necessarily any up/down direction 😉
Yup, makes sense now 😂
Was about to say the same thing lol

Pick a bristletooth tang....they destroy algae. I have a couple but my best one is my White tail.
Wondering if you still use this and if it is still going strong or broke on you?
Still going !
🤔 I qould move the sensor away from the fill tube . Whn it's filling the tank it might stop the pump due to the water hitting it

Thanks! I actually did move it to the tube to the center chamber so that the lid would close a bit better. This makes sense tho so double win! Thanks
when ato sensor gets dirty it won't stop flowing. user error. my amazon ato did the same thing after a water change..cleaned it problem solved.
that's what I was thinking with the salt creep.. gonna try to keep it clean and hope for the best lol
Add this to the list of things fluval needs to add to fix the fluval flex tanks.
I'm terrified of a failure. I use the ole water bottle and gravity method
lol I hear you.. hopefully all is good 😅
Yeah you had it backwards
🙃
What type pf clowns are those
Mocha storms
That ato lasted me 2 weeks and stopped working.
Ahhh :(
