You're doing an amazing job Clee, The Fish Corner is really blowing up....... Keep pushing bro. I'm guiding people to the channel all the time trying to help you get that 20.....
I do the same I'm always telling people to check out the fish corner if you want to learn something at real time set by set. Cleveland help me a lot with his videos. Thanks
I was on the fence but now i think im goin to go ahead and get one going. I think i will go with a 29 or 40. Thanks for the vid because everybody else was making it sound difficult as hell
I collected water from the bay when i had my first saltwater tank to make it easier. If you try collecting your own remember to collect when the tide is coming in not going out.
Appreciate the info, mite have to come to the saltey side soon. Also don’t know if you have, but have you ever made a video of how you got started in the hobby?
Can’t wait bro the original series on setting up the 20 gallon saltwater tank were the first videos I found from the fish corner! So cool that y’all are doing it again!
Hello from Nova Scotia Canada. I enjoy watching your videos, the casual and relaxed tone is great. Loved it when you got some juice for your little one😊. Keep up the good work....👍
Hey Cleveland! I’m back on your vids again! I subbed to you a while back and learned a lot from your vids! I’m finally ready to start my first salt water aquarium! I’m just going back to your old school vids and rewatching. Keep it up!
Started my first salt bout 8 months ago. Been fighting hair algae for 3 months now. Love the fish but this will b my last salt tank. Fresh from here on.
Great video brother. Been more in the saltwater hobby than the fresh, so you are on point on the setup of the aquarium. The only recommendation that I would suggest is just maybe another inch of sand because you can benefit from it. This can increase your biological filtration, with good bacteria helping you breakdown waste. Anyway, great video brother! Can’t wait to see the development of this aquarium.
Love the vids. I'm about to start my first big aquarium. (Or at least what most normal people would consider big. 5x2x2 150 gallon) most of my rock will be dry, but all of my sand is a mix of ocean direct and arag-alive to help move things along a little faster. Dr. Tim's One and Only with Fritz Fishless Fuel to jump start the beneficial bacteria. Super excited to get this baby going!
@@TheFishCorner That's wassup! Great video and thanks for helping us out. All I ever hear about is how hard it is and it can be very intimidating. I plan on doing a fowlr tank with my 125 one day soon.
These days we can get a tank through the Nitrogen cycle so fast. You know ammonia can wreck a fish fast! I remember 20 years ago it was a months long process no matter what. Now with the products we have on the market, we can go super fast. Back in the day people use to pee in thier tanks to introduce ammonia to kick off the cycle. Im glad we have improved from that method! lol
Only thing about keeping saltwater is the I think cost of starting it up and then like having to keep buying the saltwater for it but when I do this with a 300 gal in the future it’ll be worth it I think
Hey Big C , I asked this question on one of your older videos but never got a response so I'll ask again , I have a 40 gallon wide saltwater aquarium that I set up recently I currently have a porcupine puffer fish in there it's a temporary tank until I upgrade to something much bigger in 6 months to a year , I know the type of fish I wanna keep obviously I know I am not gonna be able to keep all but I wanna know how many of these fish do you think I can keep in my tank temporarily for 6 months to a year before upgrading. 1. Clown fish 2. Rock beauty 3. Yellow fox face 4. Raccoon butterfly 5. Clown trigger 6. Dogface puffer 7. Regal angel fish 8. Coral beauty
Cleveland, how often assuming you’ve added some fish and corals do you need to do water changes that’s the thing that puts me off of salt have to go get more water, I don’t have the space to store or mix my own water so it could get Pricey and tiresome 👍☹️
People told me it was harder than Hell.....tried it,easy peasy..............I mixed my own salt mix with "Instant, Ocean".....DO THEY STILL EVEN MAKE THAT? LOL :) .........measured my specific gravity............no big deal after that just, do water changes, and be sure the species are compatible just like you would in a freshwater tank.
@@TheFishCorner when you buy dry Caribsea sand the instructions tell you to rinse it, until it turns from milky to cloudy. It’s still live after my Guy 🧠
@@scottowldn8239You clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. Do some research. lol. Dry sand is never live. How is it alive and it’s dry? Is dry live rock live? No. Like I said. Do your research before you comment and make yourself look stupid. My guy.

I’ve been using ocean water for 2 years now and filtering it easy peasy 😊 bubble and torch coral everywhere

Yo those philzon lights are amazing for their price and awesome your getting corals. Great Video!!
🔥🔥🔥yessuh great video brotha! I definitely gotta get on the salty side !
I’m so glad that you can buy this water premade so that you don’t have to mix it yourself because I think I would mess it up

Thank you for doing the video again i was gonna ask u how to start one
So thank you so much!
Topping off water evaporation with rodi water does it need to be mixed with salt or can I just put the water in?
Just RODI water for water evaporation. Water evaporates but not the salt. Topping off with saltwater will raise the salinity.
Appreciate the video 👍🏾
Nice vid thanks
Anytime! Thank you

On the aqua clear I have always had luck with moving the flow tube to high and low and it will prime it self quickly.
Kool b🎥🤙🏾
Right on! 🦾
What about filling larger tanks like a 125G, do you buy the water or would it be better too mix it yourself?
Either or. I used to buy my saltwater and rodi for my 225 and 150. But when I moved into my house I started making it.

No filter pad? How do you polish your water?
You missed it
do you ever vaccum any of your substrate?
Yep

Yes.

Yes
Did this a few months ago and it’s still going corals fish and everything added fish same day

Filter not working
You should’ve rinsed off the sand before you put it in the tank. Water would’ve been clear right away.
Live sand my guy. That’s not how you keep it live. 🧠
