Nice to see after all this time your are still putting out content in relating to cars that the average Joe can potentially purchase which is keeping you more relatable to the audience the biggest mistake that most UA-camrs make they come unrelatable As popularity spirals because they start making content with Ferraris and lambos which is unrelatable to your main core viewer base were you always remain grounded in And give a varied selection of cars that the average Joe can buy. Thanks for all the hard work I love the videos
Agreed, well put, 👏👏
Thanks for watching
I completely agree, ‘motoring journalists’ leathering a Pagani unobtainium round a track or down a runway is boring.
Well said
I ran a 640d from 2015/17 I use to travel from Warwick to Milan monthly for 14 months with work, sometimes twice a month, it was incredibly economical and fast, I did 46.000 miles and it never let me down.
As a Zambian I don’t know why but watching cars being analysed is everything that makes me happy on UA-cam 😅 - my favourite channel.
Glad you like them!
This 6-series Coupe and the Gran Coupe were some of the best and last good-looking BMWs they made. No idea what they're doing with some of the designs today. Just noticed we didn't get the usual look under the bonnet!
Good video - find these far more informative and interesting than 'check out this brand new car that hardly anyone can afford to or will buy'!
Nearly bought one of these yesterday! Really impressive cars, I love them
What made you not buy it?
Great cars just the troublesome engine issues that would put me off
Wheels and glass have to be clean to standout. Nice car. The problem on our roads with low profile wheels are pot holes.
Yes, i swapped my run flats for "proper tyres". Made mine much better on our rubbish roads.
I’m a tyre perv and love the fact you name and shame the brands on every vehicle as and when necessary! 😂
'Sounds marginally better than a "rubber fetishist!" 😁
@@ph8077 😂😂😂😂😂
What a gorgeous car probably the lack of £12k is good enough…
I changed an M5 Competition for one of these earlier this year as I just couldn't afford to keep it and justify it as a daily drive. I thought I'd be really disappointed but I couldn't be more pleased. These go well, better than I thought. We went down to Italy in it in the summer, averaged 38 mpg, did 600 miles a day when travelling there and back, and it was an absolute dream. I would definitely recommend one of these. They're superb value for money.
Lovely motor Matt worth every penny 😊
I've seen the drivetrain/powertrain fault come up a lot on cars that haven't been run for a while and it's usually as simple as the battery being a bit tired or undercharged, especially if you only see the fault once or twice. Beautiful car for the money.
Great video Matt. I really enjoyed this. I love the 640d the straight six is a powerhouse and for a diesel sounds great too. Looked fantastic after its detailing too. Great colour, wheels look superb 👌👏
It never fails to amaze me what your take on cheap is.
Your videos are a shining example of how to make quality and interesting content. Thank you for your talent and effort!🧐❗️👒
I’ve always loved these. Sharp whips.
This is one of my top three favorite cars all the time love it!
The Wonder grip van has gone !!!!!!
I miss it
Leather looks surprisingly good on that. Its like chalk and cheese the 6 series but I love it. Specially a gran coupe
Cracking car, I know you said you hate BMW’s but a lot of us love them 😂 Great machines generally, just need the money spent on maintenance and they’ll run up high miles no issue. Personally I ditch run flats and just carry a tyre foam/gel with compressor around now in our X3. The car drives a million times better off run flats..
i had a 2009 630, everyone told me not to have one as they are so expensive to maintain and run, but apart from tyres brakes and a couple of suspension rods replaced it never missed a beat for the 6 years i had it. it drank like a fish obviously but i knew that going in. This shape is really pretty, sadly I just don't drive much anymore so i can't justify having one but this looks a great model and someone will be happy at that price.
630i the sweet spot..quick enough and mine nudged 30MPG, now have a 650i with fingers crossed for any chain noises but no issues at 120k so far....
I have a 635d tbh I can't fault it tbh, love the styling and 3 years in no issues, the m57 engine is a belter
What a NICE refresh on this car. And it's a really nice car!
Glad to see you give it an almost brand new status!
Those 6 cylinder twin turbo diesel are such an iconic engine plus you get over 40 mpg. My OCD doesn’t allow me to drive a car with odd tyres and when buying a second hand car I do be hoping the tyres are worn so I can stick on 4 new Michelins. Great video Matt, your content is always enjoyable.
Hey Matt you made the car look great! I got a f10 530d based on your 520d review from years ago. Yes in your words I was greedy but so glad I did. I also have that drivetrain fault but it seems to have no issue to the driving of the car. Glad it wasn’t any issue. The 640d gran coupe was definitely on the list but the middle seat is a bit of a joke, hence I want with the 5 series. Quality video as always mate.
Before I watch. I 100% want one of these in the gran coupe. Will be swapping my A6 asap.
Another great profit for you there, Matt. Happy days! 😃 Lovely car 👍 Have a jolly good weekend
Matt stage 1 polosh DIY 60. Oil change DIY 110. Tyre DIY 200.
That F12 looks awesome.
I had a 635d M Sport and a Yeti last year, and after semi retiring, I had to get rid of one. I choose to keep the Yeti because it was cheaper to run and more practical, but had the Beemer been a hatchback, I'd have been tempted to keep that. I've since traded in the Yeti for a 330d Touring X Drive, so impressed by the 6 cylinder engine, and the fact that 4-wheel drive should at least give me a chance in the slippery winter months. I think I've got my grail car now.
If anyone is sitting on the fence about buying a 6 series diesel I'd say do it, you won't regret it.
Lovely car matt 👌 and I personally think great value at that money and economic with power win win good luck with the sale matt 👍
Love the 6 cylinder BMWs. My 340d gets over 50mpg while make 340bhp 😊
I generally detest black cars, but that one actually looks rather good in it.
Oh wow. Why can't the sun come out like that for every single car you show in your videos?
IMO the best car BMW made, especialy with the 3.0L petrol engines.
The only truly beautiful BMW since the e46/e39/e38 generation. There's been some good looking BMWs since then, but the 6 was truly beautiful.
I would prefer the SE, I live in Scotland and the roads aren't great. My e39 sport is just a bit too hard for the roads and SE would be more comfortable maybe.
Awesome vídeo and car
I had a 640d GC, they are without doubt one of the best engines Ive ever experienced, and drive phenomenally.
Now have a RR sport and miss my BMW engine, power and economy.
Would definitely recommend! 335d this age are priced more than the GC's and the owner type of the 6 series definitely makes used options way more appealing.
Only note for people replacing tyres, don't go for Dunlop sp sport max, I had 2 on 7mm that egged on the sidewall when hitting bumps not potholes in the road!
Poor so switched to eagle f1s.
Stunning looking car 🤩 and a tidy profit too 😀 happy days!
Kustone, Based in Hefei, China, prides itself on manufacturing top-of-the-line tyres by designing their patterns and keeping up with the latest industry standards...Hmmm.
You can always tell which side the fuel filler cap is on by looking at the petrol symbol on the dash and then there’s an arrow posting at it from either side - that’s the side it’s on
Not all cars have that though
I had a 65 plated 640d M Sport Gran Coupe before. The diesel engine has two turbo, and produces 313hp.
Wonder Grip van missing Matt, hope u called the rozzers!!.
Lovely car, it's buffed up well, just think BMW are scary when they start pinging up faults, but if codes were cleared and it's not come back, then hopefully it's just an overly excited sensor.
A huge BMW coupe with a straight six diesel ? UGH ! The UK gets all the cool toys !🤩
'Ooh Mk1 Focus' 😂😂. Nobody does Partridge better than high peak.
You are right, that is a lot of car for 12k. I`d happly buy a car from you. you really do properly get them ready for sale 👍👍
Very nice motor, I'd be tempted.
All the car I would ever need. Lovely motor.
I'd imagine the BMW's sensors would detect a momentary fuel pressure difference due to the low fuel which technically could have caused the warning (just my speculation)
I have the gran coupe version of this and love it
Another great video, I love these cars, I like the BMW 430d and I'm drawn to the Audi A6 saloon 3ltd, anyway great stuff, ps don't lose anymore weight, God bless
New Range Rover looking good. Lovely interior. I am not a BMW fan but this one looks good too. The low profile tyres look scary 😂
Matt… you are the typical car dealer 😂3mm tyre … that’s ok😂😂😂… keep the vids coming pal
Tyre change was important, and the clean & polish really made the difference. Let's hope the drivetrain holds out...
Always been a very slick looking motor the 6 series
Those are surprisingly reliable too.
get that silly drive train warning on my mini cooper. Comes on every so often and goes off.
You must be listening to us….mechanic first,, other stuff next and valet last 👍 Nice car 😁
Great video Billy, think you need to move to Manny ya know 😁
Love the 40d. Have a 740xd meself with almost 260.000km . Another 100.000 and then maybe time for a other one. But still running great
they are bi-turbo :P lovely motors, would love one for my next car.
Not too bad on the tyre price, I had to replace a Bridgestone Alenza RFT on my Lexus after an unrepairable puncture, and it was £320 🤨 I was lucky to get it as well as they’re in short supply.
Top Friday night viewing 😊
15:02 yes it could/should and I would put it there as well to warn you drastically what happens when fuel delivery runs dry. Exactly for these situations I think running 0 miles is actually like 30 miles left anyway...
Another great video Matt 👏👏
Good looking cars and that's amazing value at £12k.👍
Low battery in keyfob will throw up drivetrain faults plus others.
8.5k for this car is a total no brainer. IDK about those prices in the UK, it just doesn't make sense. The cheapest 640d with around 100k miles in my area is $33k

The problem in the UK with these tyeps of cars isn't the purchase price, its the ongoing costs for insurance and road tax etc
@@nazeervawda8791 hmm, how much would one need to pay a year to own this?
Cars are cheap on the used market in the UK, as it's the running/insurance costs that really hurt you
Chances are that low battery voltage caused the warning light, BMWs hate a slightly discharged battery, my advice to the new owner is to ditch the runflats ASAP. That was the best money I ever spent on my E85 getting rid of those runflats tyres, it will make it a completely different car.
The car looks amazing underestimate price matt 14000 the right riight.
I have had two. Wonderful cars. BMW's best kept secret.
I live in Romiley, not sure your new plans for the garage should be black, maybe dark grey. Ah well what do I know. Cheers 🥂 Tony
I habe the gran coupe version of this and its such a good car
This should be a goer!
How annoying, I came so close to buying a 640d M Sport a few years ago then chose a Merc without ever driving the BMW. I still love the look of the 6 series so maybe need to talk to my bank manager 🤣
At the finish Matt looked more like Henry Hill out on a job
I cannot understand how somebody would finance one of these heaps and bankrupt themselves with the monthly payments. It's just an old Diesel BMW. Some People.....
We had a petrol 645 and it was not a good car. Very relieved to see the back of it.
This age of BMW still looks elegant, unlike today’s which seem to have lost the design “plot”!
Not massively overspent 2 cars in the row, I’m staggered
Hi Matt well one low miles should make a profit . Priced at a good price as well.
I've had that drivetrain warning on my X3 twice before both when I'm down to zero fuel left. As soon as i filled it up, the error went away
I live very near Ricky and I have seen that car around!
Such a beautiful car, prefer the LCI version of this generation but still.
Very nice looking car, its come up really nice. 78000 on a diesel is no miles
Not a BMW from Bradford for a change.
Think he's learnt his lesson
Lived in Bradford for 23years, NEVER buy a car in Bradford, all the place is good for is curry
@@imnotavingthat6813not even that. Needs to burned and rebuilt
@@imnotavingthat6813- Akbars 👍

Blacked out rear windows ruin lines, I don't personally like black cars but dark tinted glass is my pet hate, so chavvy.
Sean Bean. The chameleon of actors. He can play any character that grew up in Yorkshire.
His agent must be the ghost of Paul f*cking Daniels. "That's Magic!"
Good job 👍
Does anybody else go to the car sales website at the beginning of the video as a spoiler to see if the car gets finished 🙈🙈😂😀🤣
Every single time 😂
This will pull like a train😂😂😂
I do like the larger BMWs as I feel they offer so much more value for money. In London you really want a petrol 640i and yes I had an earlier 630i cost a fortune in tyres the runflats at the time were far and few between. Sensors in the convertible cost a fortune when they go wrong. With all the prohibitive costs associated with ownership I still loved the six series- I feel it is a car with real presence and like the vid says put a private plate on it and people think you have won the lottery!!! Get one with full service history be picky, check the on board computer as it has condition based servicing intervals as and when the items in green go red.. check the oil regularly as they can burn a little oil in between services and check the wheels for cracks as those alloys can be problematic and leak air….. could go on but like I said when they work, you soon forget about the trauma of ownership… right now they are cheap as the 8 series coupe is the darling of the range. Try and get the M trim if on a budget if. It go for the M6
Love these cars. £8.5k is nuts. How much were these new?
70k
had a M4 ready for handover come up with drive train fault as a brand new car...turned out it was because it was that low on fuel after pdi
EGR/DPF delete and those 3l I6 will last 300k easy. With them, 120k :)
I always think who the hell doesn't even have the decency to get a quick clean on their car before they sell it..
The engines have common time chain issue if oil services followed manufacturer schedule (2 years/18k miles).
Some do yes but Not at this kind of mileage. Very unusual to happen until after 100k (if ever)
Matt as a BMW owner I believe that car was first owned by BMW as a management car.
They keep them for a short period and sell them on to the BMW dealer network.
Hence the reason why it was registered in March 2014 then on to its next owner in October 2014.
I think this car first started its life at Thorne near Doncaster.
Nice car,I'm only 11 and a half grand short!!!
I googled BMW drivetrain and the fuel pump was mentioned.
I always change any tyre needing done with 2 new ones on same axle, having different wear on tyres is no good, or is it just me ? Nice car, hope its a winner.
