      Even if I was or wasn't guilty, I would rather lose the case then bring my son to court and subject him to this type of scrutiny and humiliation on TV and for his peers to see. The fact that she had him there already shows her character.

    To put her son in such a state of stress shows how selfish she is. That kid was so anxious in that seat. A good parent would never put their child in a situation like that. If she doesn't care about the feelings of her child, she definitley doesn’t care about anyone else she screws over, especially a stranger.

    That happened to me years ago. A women ran a red light… hit me on the side and crashed. She was apologetic saying it’s her fault etc. days later she sang a different tune when she gave a report to her insurance company. After a year finally her insurance company paid my insurance company and I got my deductible back. Thank god for individuals who witnessed it and they told the truth.

    Judge Judy is an absolute genius, it's so fascinating to watch. Not a single thing gets past her. The way the defendants eyes change after 1:56 for the one time she tells the truth, then instantly changes back to continue lying. JJ slotted that one in nicely lol

    My old roommate was a lying and thieving sack of crap and he said the exact same thing about himself. Even after he was caught, no less. If someone has the need to chronically state how nice they are, run, don’t walk. Actions speak louder than words and genuine people don’t need to perpetually state how good and wonderful they are. They show it.

    Teslas have cameras which record accidents. My hubby had to use said videos to prove someone had bumped into him since the driver denied it. If the defendant truly had not hit the plaintiff, she would have simply presented the video as evidence.
    What shameful behaviour from this woman and what a horrible example to her son.

      @@benzamg32m68 we haven't had that issue with ours, i.e. it only activates when driving or if someone comes close to the car. There are no cameras looking on the INSIDE of the car here, but we are in Europe so maybe privacy laws have led to a difference in that (our autopilot is also different)

      I mean, I once had to swerve into another lane when a car cut in front of me, then stopped to a crawl, and I nicked someone's mirror but I hadn't really felt an impact so I was hoping there hadn't been one. I pulled over on the side of the road (he had done so to inspect his car and hadn't expected me to stop behind him) and he pointed out that our mirrors had touched. There was no damage on my car but his had to be recalibrated. I had enough money to just pay for it ($930!) but from my POV, I was sure there hadn't been damage and like I said, my car was fine. So it seems like a similar incident. It felt minor but it caused expensive damage. And since her car was basically not effected, she tried to convince herself she hadn't caused the damage.

      @@anthonyplays6685I don't hate people in Teslas, but when I lived in Silicon Valley many of the Tesla drivers I'd see would have license plates reflecting the fact they had a Tesla. Such as "Psylent" or "N0GAS4VR" or "LECTRIC" it was so obnoxious.

    The defendant's car, a Tesla, is equipped with multiple cameras that capture all angles. It would be logical to assume that the defendant would utilize the car camera recording as evidence to refute the plaintiff's claim of impact contact in the car accident.

      @@nala7658 actually imo she does fit the character of a Karen because of her entitled attitude. Many women are “over emotional in a normal situation” but that doesn’t qualify them as a Karen. That’s just well…being over emotional…
      However in this case, the plantiff kept arguing that she was right when clearly she was wrong and wanted to put them blame on the plantiff rather than take accountability (which is also a trait of a “Karen”). Karen’s don’t necessarily need to be over the top in yelling & making a scene. They can also be conniving and passive aggressive just the way she was to JJ….I’m just glad JJ called her out on her lies!
