Reminded me of the movie Heat when the first amour car job goes wrong and they have kill all the guards.
I LOVE the running gag that Yasha thinks she can cast Message.
But I would love it even more if there was a joke that Yasha DID really have a really minor ability to send messages to (AND ONLY TO) Veth (which Matt and Sam would play with). That would be hilarious.
I just caught Caleb being snarky about “we all forgot that nuance of the spell” 😂 these people are so ridiculous and I love them for it

There was no Caleb Widogast in this episode, only Bren Vader the Volstrucker.

I freaked out when I realized Jester told Kymie who her mother was. Either he would have to die too, modify his memory, or he was gonna cause problems. He caused problems.
For all her wisdom, Jester has a bad habit of not thinking what she says through. Though that could be seen as an intelligence trait XD

That acid kill reminds me of when Keyleth kill that guard in the lava, at the beginning of campaign 1, when she tried to use gust to have him go deeper in the lava but just cooled the lava around him to a solid state.

I like that when Caleb, Veth and Jester descend into the final room Matt describes torture equiptment. While, yes, the heist was pretty brutal, Liam was right in saying these are not innocent people by any means
I mean torture equipment in government facilities in medieval times was universally common... Just saying
Well definitely not the wizard, but the guards. Pretty much every guard in every prison in near every part of the world would see something similar. Torture in such an era, would be considered a somewhat “normal” to practice. Especially in the empire, so that probably gave them zero red flags. Not to say they couldn’t put together some evil shit was going down, but if your a rent-a cop those questions are more likely to get you on a table then get one removed. Probably were just happy to not be sent to the border, nice soft gig protecting a wizards magic swag. Truly for the humble guard, anything an everything else is beyond their power or desire to do anything about.
We have no way of knowing that, personally if I had an evil wizard lair, I wouldn't let my guards know more than the basic cover story that I tell the rest of the world. Liam and therefore Caleb were making some pretty big assumptions about what those guards did and didn't know. They didn't interrogate anyone so we'll never know. It's like the previous time when Nott assassinated that guard in episode 76 when they were sneaking into that house to steal a ring or whatever. They eventually figured out the homeowners were terrible via a hidden letter or something, connected to slavers so felt fine about it in retrospect, but why lol? Why would a random Guard know about secret connections to slavers?
Well why would guards know about secret government work here?

But Caleb stalking through his abusers halls, eliminating everyone in his way, is so very satisfying.
to add a level of brutality to this, there is a theory that extreme gravity warps the perception of time so them being crushed like they were might have been nealy instant for the party, but for those guards it may literally have felt like minutes if not hours
Being near an area of extreme mass slows down time but only to outside observers. You wouldn't notice anything different.
Example: If you fell into a black hole outside observers would witness you slow down as you approach the horizon until you "Stop" at the edge (Then slowly turn red and disappear over a long time)
You'd experience the outside world speed up as you fell closer to the horizon.

Sam being the bloodthirsty trigger happy one before recoiling in horror at Caleb crushing a guard is like when Rick was exited to observe the purge planet only to almost immediately throw up because of the violence

Now I have to wonder: Was Caleb's first use of Gravity Sinkhole intended to kill the guard, or was it unintended since he could have just been trying to restrain him at first but of course, it did a bit too much damage?
I mean regardless, the next few kills were very much on purpose.
@10:05 he was trying to do max damage from the start-- that guard was going to take fall damage if he survived.

Also Beau was the panic-paralyzed spider-creature in the horror movie, only attacking when the guard moved, so I’m not sure whether or not that leaves her in danger.

Probably my favorite episode to date. Also spoilers for most recent episode 4/8
But it's kind of funny how we went from grand theft ship, to Nott assassinating a guy in Reini arch, to Darth Caleb, and now we have Fjord tactically sending people to their deaths. The Nein are slowly turning into the by any means necessary, bad guys versus worse guys kind of characters. Short of the clerics.
