The RP4 Pro has been really great for me, it finally allowed me to finish PS2 games I couldn't in past due to the lack of a memory card. Also that akward walk off at the end of the video was funny 😂
@@8bitbongo for games like smash bros melee, mario sunshine, f zero gx and metroid prime just to name a few, the click was an essential part of gameplay. Its a topic that honestly needs way more attention in the gamecube emulation space.
If you're starting from scratch, you might as well go straight to the 4 Pro for the extra power, also considering that Retroid appear to be phasing out production of the 3+ because it's too close in price to the 4.
I love my rp4 pro and need to get a 1tb micro sd card for more games i dont need them but i want more lol also my triggers broke and i got my replacements and it was a 3 minute fix and i love it
I rarely hit the triggers and one day it broke... Yours will most likely break as well, gotta email them for replacement, takes about 2-3 weeks? @@8bitbongo
i bought the RP3 at the worst possible time. It also developed a stress fracture in the case near the top right of the screen, which seems to be a very common issue. Wish there was a trade-in program or something.
Hello Thank you so much for your videos. Is it possible to play multiplayer local games with multiple controllers as you shown in your video for RP3 + ? (Sorry for my english) Thanks in advance 🙏🏻

lol I’ve struggled with how I conclude videos so lately I’m just embracing the awkwardness
I hope they one day put analog/digital triggers (with the click for gamecube games) soon on a handheld for true gamecube emulation
I miss that click.

Nice review - straight and to the point. Thank you!
On my RP3+ I've beaten onimusha 2, Onimusha 4, resident evil outbreak 1&2, code veronica X (dreamcast), silent Hill 1-3, and Maximo,
The select/start location change was what sold me, smartest change ever made!
Agreed!
So in love with my rp3+

you "neeeeeeed" the better start/select + home/back buttons.
Like replacing them with custom buttons?
I think they're just fine on both systems

Glad to know that it was an easy fix, I'm just waiting for my triggers to break lol
Son muy fragiles?

Próbowałeś instalować Winlator'a? Szukam konsolki do pixelartów z pc więc może nie ma potrzeby płacić za Steam decka.

Sorry to hear about that, I wasn't aware of that issue.
I had the same with the original 2. Hilariously they didn’t offer the 2+ upgrade board in China. I’ll never buy another Retroid device.

Yes it is! I'm actually working on a video right now for RP4 pro multiplayer.
@@8bitbongo Thank you so much ! You are definitly the best !

One doesn't simply buy "one" retro handheld.
Rp3+ to rp4 pro is a huge incremental improvement kid.
