    i've been playing for 50+ years. This is the missing link for me, hiding in plain sight. It's the secret sauce for visocity. Thanks

    Bro..I have to say, Thank you !
    I've been drumming for 20 years in both personal and professional settings.. Denver ..
    On Sept 5th, 2023 I was watching another one of your linear videos in the middle of the night.. doing my best to dissect your mastery and implement your teachings, when I felt something happen .. in my head .. like a long awaited shifting of gears, only all the gears are in my head..
    A massive blockage was dissolving and it was happening all at once..
    It was as if an ancient old rusted clock had just advanced its 'hour hand' for the first time in 20 years, finally out of that uncomfortable position that it had been stuck in for decades..
    It was psychedelic..
    An epiphany of understanding was under way..
    It was fantastic and you were the catalyst of this event my friend!!
    Like most drummers, I have beats constantly running around my head 24/7.. sometimes as I sleep.. for me, these beats had only existed in my imaginative head, as they are far too complex for me to even consider using them in my live playing.. until now .. that's all gone away .. the gear has changed and the clock has finally ticked .. the entire infinite universe of drumming is all of a sudden completely available for me to explore for the rest of my days .. it's absolutely wild and the most motivating 'thing' that's EVER happened to me in all my years of musical evolution .. And it's all because of this epiphany, so..
    Thank you like a Million, Mr. Fisher !!!

    Great lesson one of the best I’ve seen on flow, right up there with Pat Petrillo. If you have skills already but in a creative rut this is this icing on the cake for unlocking potential. Good job Eric as always good job

    I dont understand, wouldnt the triplet 8th notes be slower than the eighth notes? Since its a grouping of say 6 oppose to eight since the feet are doing the quarter notes? It looks like you speed up on the 8th note triplets

    • @Fisherdrumming
      @Fisherdrumming  Рік тому +3

      No 8th note triplets have 12 notes per measure. Each quarter note gets 3 notes.
      1 & a, 2 & a, 3 & a, 4 & a (12 notes is faster than (8) 8th notes)

    @Eric.
    So are you recommending just playing it feeling it, instead of trying to write these patterns out, and then reading that pattern?
