Hi, I know in America there are chiropractic services all over UA-cam. Is that the same as a UK chiropractor? I want to get a general treatment done where the chiropractor can tell where my body needs adjusting… what should I look for in the UK? Thanks

This is the most info I have ever recieved for my condition. The condition is cervical 1 +2 of the upper neck and an MRI detected cervical spondylitis, and was told no treatment for this only painkillers (yes osteo arthritis) it started years ago with banging ferocious headaches hence the referral to hospital MRI. I never suffer with headaches normally, but my muscles were actually constricting in my neck! I have used chiropractic for my neck, knees and hip, one chiro practor was excellent and I really liked his approach, but he left the practise..tried others but didn't feel they had the same effect...So I'm now looking for either a chiropractor at another practise or an osteopath to deal with pain, as I'm fed up of being fobbed off. Thank you for this explanation its brilliant!

My changes in osteo arthritis came on early in life as in late 20's and was diagnosed with uric acid crystals in my bloodstream and told about possible osteo arthritis later in life. Which I have found and looks like I'm stuck with it..so when paying privately I expect a bit more than I've been receiving. I'm of the age for this condition now, despite going through it whilst younger...I've used ice packs, and are on consistent regular painkillers that I hate, but cannot frankly be without..

Hi, I'm worried I woke boxing day with kinda uncomfortable feeling in my neck and arm area, slowly it has got worse its been 10 days thus far, the problem is sleep when I lay back in a supine position my neck gets numb and a cold feeling like I've sprayed ralgex and slightly aches, this spreads to my right shoulder like a tooth ache much more painful than the neck, I can look up its seems fine until I look up real high I get a twinge lower neck, I can look left and right np until i pull back chin, tuck then look right and look up I feel a twinge sooner than just looking up, my sleep is awful I'm losing the will to live, getting spurts of sleep 2 hrs wake, walk around room demented etc, I've seen a physio 2 days, ago he said oh you have foraminal stenosis after 5 mins, also my hands are very mildly numb , I have strength in right arm pushing up n down and no pain at all from rotator cuff, I'm worried because I'm meant to return on the 9th but feel unable although physio suggested it would be fine? I don't want to go until I've healed up any (is this good advice? ) I've been taking ibuprofen first week was just 200mg x 2 3 times daily I'm now upping to 4 times and will stop in 4 days. My sleep is so bad I'm normally a deep sleeper and my best in those 10 days is 5 hours straight, last night was the worse. How long should I wait to feel better before I see someone, any advice I'd appreciate it.
