It is hilarious how conservatives point to images of flappers and say things along the lines of "when women were women" when any contemporary lady would fucking faint at the idea of flappers being respectable and classy. The difference between bodies 100 years ago and today is basically this- we used to build the fashionable frame or shapes with undergarments and padding, now we are expected to somehow just have that body. That’s the biggest difference. People were not all “smaller” back then, we have historical garments with 30” plus waists after corset. Many of the small extant garments that people use to show “how much thinner” people were are actually children’s garments.
    Conservatives suck at history.

"People 100 years ago didn't fast or follow health influencers" is such a hilariously misinformed take. The Victorian era and all eras since had a plethora of fad diets, health nuts and borderline cults around health and fitness. Empress Elizabeth of Austria famously had what we'd now call eating disorders, would frequently fast or eat weird diet foods, exercised obsessively and would take "steam baths" in order to stay thin.
Just another instance of these weird "back in the good old days" types drumming up nostalgia for a time that never actually existed.

@@k4nd1incyb3rsp4c3 pr0n is absolutely not morally neutral. The countless trafficking that goes on to produce pR0n is countless and companies like Phub have made millions, even billions, off of the seggsual exploitation of people and even children.
I'm really tired of this narrative that it can be consumed ethically. You do not know how that video was produced and there are countless stories where women, especially, were forced to produce such videos under the force of threats. And because p-hub makes SO much money off of its content it gives very few shits when the victim requests for it to be taken down. Now couple that with things like revenge who post their ex lovers private pictures on such sites.
You have NO idea what you're watching on p-hub or that it could be produced by someone who didn't have a choice to participate.
Now couple that with the endless studies showing that men, especially, end up with a very skewed perception of reality even if they're not actively addicted to that content. The grey matter in their brain becomes smaller, when men watch that sort of video the part in their brain that controls looking at an nonhuman object lights up. Men are less likely to help people who are being SA'd in front of them and even increase the likelihood of them also taking advantage of that person.
I am so endlessly tired of this centrist narrative so many people have been there's so much evidence and stories out there that prove any consumption of this content is incredibly harmful for both the viewer and the participant.
*90% of seggs workers are in that line of work because they don't have a choice, either because they have been forced under threat to produce it or they have no other financial viable options. This is usually the time they get divorced. The woman wants to have sex. The man doesn’t. The woman doesn’t want a sexless marriage and so they break up. Barely an active lifestyle, though...I just dont drive and walk everywhere and that alone is enough to keep me in shape. Find a balance...working out has always been mind nunbingly boring to me...why sit in a gym on equipment replicating the physical movements you can achieve naturally in much more entertaining and appealing ways. Mountain biking is my choice...i was run over by a car, have a wrecked leg, but biking is easier than walking and allows me to exert myself more without pain.
