In the third official Infinite Journeys 3D Challenge livestream, I'll be texturing the interior of my supercar cockpit. We'll start by creating custom PBR master materials in Octane, focusing heavily on surface imperfections. Then we'll distribute the materials, mesh-bym-mesh and bring our render to life!

You're a great teacher Clint! Things are starting to click for me now from watching you work. I've been making a living from graphic art since 2008 with Photoshop and Illustrator mainly.
But I wanted to make games and movies since I was a kid in the 90s. Only game graphics are way better since the 90s lol.
I'm finally at a point in my career where I can set down and actually learn all the tools to make short 3D advertisements for the casino I work at. And there are so many cool giant led screens curving around this place to play with. The new led toy is at a new bar that is a big transparent wrap around led panel, from our feet to waste level, its a bar screen that is clear basically. I have so many ideas for it. If I do it right. It will look like hologram ads but in real life, like in Blade runner or 5th element, or Back to the Future 2 lol. Jaws flying out ! Haha
So far in my experiments. Animal footage on a black background looks incredible on a transparent LED. AS IS, no extra work. Very bladerunner looking.
But I only have so much stock footage available. And they always seem to be missing something.
So I'm trying to learn as much as possible. My goal is to have a 3d aquarium playing on the screens, but with full control of everything to add and change out logos and animals.
Then eventually get into water simulations with accurate caustics shining down on the fish and sharks, and I could have an octopus that I animate to swim up and sucker onto the casino logo.
I'm on this mission, because they pay a lot of money to a render company, and I love some of their renders, but all them have no atmosphere or surface imperfections.
They are very very FLAT looking, like they are afraid of simulations, or anything to even give it a style. Like Fortnite is not realism, but the game looks great, it has great lighting and atmosphere, great materials and surface imperfections.
I don't want to say this companys renders looks like bowling renders, but it's just a little bit better than bowling renders to be honest. And I know, when I learn all the tools. I can and will do better than what they are selling.
But I do also get it. They are pumping these renders out, they have to make money too, but man.
100k for 5 renders. And the casino was happy with the results.
That's good money. I'm just saying, I put more pride I my art than what I'm seeing being out here in the world.

I'm adding touches to mine. It is my first ever blender sculpt for some parts and my first ever unreal build for the scene. Using it to learn, might not be the best but im pleased.
It is a old world train driving through a 60s style French patisserie with a couple of passengers enjoying some pastries.

I love the cognac oldschool pilot jacket vibe inside your cockpit. i'm diggin it. Keep it up. I feel like you are missing some secondary and tertiary colors inside the cockpit.
Most of the cockpits have colorful small details for visibility inside.

@@myfxmedia_ sorry, i don't use octane, i use mantra, cycles, karma, 3delight. it does not bother me to see how @pwnisher does in ocatane and do the same in another engine. in all I can do the same nodes are a little different name

Is this just a Blender, Unreal competition??? Can someone actually fix the Maya file! Who does Clint always get to make the Maya file???? It never works and the .fbx doesn't import this time... lame!!! And no support whatsoeva!!
Tbh you don't really need the default file for the challenge, create one from scratch you're going to replace the objects either way .

Also I thought there may have been set speed for the background in and out at least? Would just be great if they made a Maya file that actually works.. seems like it was just exported from another package or something??
@@amolgamer9928 Also tried to ask on the Discord.. Was an OG Member. I Was attacked by know it all Gender Blenders. I just asked if there were any Maya users in the chat and they jumped on me. Then someone kicked me out for asking a question. Obviously some loser Mod that is also a Gender Blender. What a lame competition!! Made just for Blender and unreal.. That's one way to keep the talent out I suppose...
@@amolgamer9928 Also I hear the Rokoko suit is lame anyway.. Terrible Tracking without many other programs to fix the data as much as possible.. Xsens suit is the go! No wonder they are using Clint's clout to sell and market to the beginners on this channel. Good luck.
