@@jsjsjele well my situation was different because i rerolled for my character so basically saved endless primogems to get keqing,only needed to snatch the weapon and she would be set.
well at least you got a good unit(unlike qiqi diluc or keqing) so imo you did not lost 50/50,just got mona as consolation prize next to tao.
And you even got hutao as well so not that bad at all.
Hu tao will rerun eventually if you really want homa just as much as i wanted jade cutter,you can easily guaranty it,only 200 pulls and you will get three 5* from weapon banner and your hutao would rock!

This is the best response to all the rotten people that have tried to taint his account. I personally never cared about if he was F2P because his content was just better than just about everything out there. And I get how this came to be, the time gated events prevent content creators from using their abilities to create these videos, this was actually a stroke of genius.

I like how you summed it all up in the end. When i first started Genshin i remember checking out one of your vids where you told people it was good being f2p and not falling for the Gacha system. I stayed f2p for really long and im glad i did.
With time i have now spent a little bit on the battle pass a couple of times. Mostly to keep up with my friends who started spending quite a lot. I dont regret spending the money because i got to have more fun with my friends in a way.
If i had played alone all the time i know i would have stayed f2p till the end. So i think your content has helped me understand Gacha games and the addiction to it.

Yeah, the point of watching Mtashed play Genshin was not because he was F2P. The point was because he put out good content. He made great builds for MANY characters and he had good opinions on the controversy of things that was put forth by MHY, good and bad on both sides.
You’re convincing me to go F2P. I’ve been a whaler since the start of the game, and while I haven’t spent near as much as big whalers, I have spent $2k on the game now since March. My pulls are lucky, so I always feel super spoiled and want more, but its probably fueling an addiction in me ☹️ ty for inspiring me

As someone who lost the pity to an Elegy, this was pure torture
me too, i got 2 elegy before finally getting homa for my hu tao. luckily i got venti, so i now use those 2 elegys for diona and venti
I started playing a month ago and it was so nice seeing someone cover the game as a f2p player. It's hard to keep perspective on my own progress in this game especially when everyone else, even other f2p players, has a year of game play behind them that I'm looking at. It wasn't the gacha system that drew me into the game, but it is a very easy trap to fall into. Thanks for sticking with your morals and continuing to make content about the game as a whole, not the gacha system exclusively.

I truly admire you! I recently spent almost 200 bucks on the Hu Tao banner because I was so desperate to get her constellations, it didn’t go so well. Though its my first time spending money on a banner, I really did feel bad. I wasted so much money for nothing. After watching this vid, I decided to never spend any money on Genshin and just enjoy the game as it is :)
I hear ya. I whaled again after I said I wouldn't. It didn't go so well. I'll have to uninstall if I do it again. It's truly a waste of money. Doesn't feel good when you get what you wanted because it took so much. Dont got that mtash luck of 3 5stars in 70ish pulls without even bothering to chart proper course for weapon banner.
i spent money on venti and childes first re run and the immense of guilt i felt after whaling for venti (50£) was so bad, it took me about a month to actually use him because i felt as though i didn’t “deserve” having him.. for some reason, i decided to whale again on childe first re run (100£) that i didn’t end up using the genesis crystals i had bought (still got childe without genesis so got lucky) and didn’t use those crystals until hu tao banner where i used them to get homa.. moral of the story, i dont and wont whale again on this game as its rly not worth it. i saved a whole 2 banners to get hu tao and got her, so really, with a bit of patience and skipping certain banners you can get the characters you reallly want without having to spend anything or not much at all (i still get welkin because the 5£ are fine) but yeah, and ultimately we will eventually stop using our accounts which would have made the whaling for nothing or just for that short moment of adrenaline, which is really not worth the money at all in my opinion.. not to mention, i find whaling ruins the content of the game because why would i want to spend hundreds on it when it would take away any of the current challenges? it would bore me to the point i’d stop playing completely
There's nothing wrong with spending money on something you enjoy. If something provides you with hours of entertainment then it's worth some dosh, you just don't want to be a gambling addict about it lol. Always spend within your means and there's no wrong to feel bad or guilty about it. If you're going for constellations you should just assume that you're going to go to hard pity and lose the 50/50 each time and account for that in your spending. Any time that doesn't happen is just a little treat.
yes same. i lost the 50/50 on ei’s banner and that was my first time spending money besides welkin moon. its so not worth it! i love this game but feel so bad after spending any money on it, such a waste.
I spended 200 euro on 5 BP's for full BP weapon set, 1 Venti in his rerun and 1 Elegy For The End and for adding some starglitter for 1 more Blackliff weapon and was claymore, then I got 1 Blackliff sword and I ended spending my money and I was playing totally f2p over half year now.
I got what I really wanted to get.

IMO the fun things of this game is building a character, weapon, artifact, but being a Whale mean u have every character C6 and every weapons R5. So u don't have anything to build anymore, then where is the fun ?

To me, it doesn't really matter thatttt much if a f2p starts spending, I was free for a bit but started buying the welkin moon cause I think it's a good deal and it makes the game a lil easier.
A thought I kinda have, if it's honestly worth it to ya, go for it and spend some money on a game, for some people it's what they need to have a little fun moment through the day, and it is annoying when others judge you if you fork over some cash when you could just do the daily grind for eternity for free
