Try pulling the 12ax7s out of v1 and v2, and replace them with 12at7s. It does wonders for the lead channel.

Can you just direct swap those or is there a bias on preamp tubes?

@BlackBridgeSound preamp tubes don't need to be biased so there isn't actually a bias pot for them. They do technically have a bias but its fixed and not something you can or need to set. They're just plug and play as long as they're the same family of tube. 12at7 is sort of like a 12ax7 with much less gain. V1 and V2 are your first few gain stages so putting them there will have a more dramatic effect. If you found the lead channel to be very bright and harsh while just generally having an unusable amount of gain then you might really like what the 12at7s do for the amp in those positions.

What's not to like? 30 seconds of tweakdom, and it already sounds like "why bother with a Marshall?".
Deft THUMB dialing, Jarrett, but don't you need some kind of license or a seat belt for that kind of traffic?
Also nice work with the traditional dialing technique, Mike. Somebody's gotta keep the classics alive, bro.

Bugeras are great if your poor. The solar not so much. Maybee an iron label or gio would be more affordable...

They aren’t tooooo expensive but there’s definitely more affordable options out there that are still decent guitars

Just get anything under $500. No need to spend over that on a guitar. There really wasn't a reason before but it's even more irrelevant now that CNC machining and parts tolerances are so tight across the board. None of my guitars cost over $300 and they do the thing in spades.
Put your money where it matters, your speakers (unless they are vintage 30s, don't put money into those)

Both tones were fine but I would have def just used the crunch setting on the rhythm channel. I don't really care for the 6505 sound in general, but the crunch section is pretty alright. Especially with a dimed HM2 in front. That's some grease for ya.
However, the Bugera 1960 is tits and will drown out any FOH loser that wants you to play quiet.

The 1960 is pretty sweet, actually just fired mine up the other day and filmed a couple videos for it that’ll come out pretty soon!
